#Strife is a sin before God. It is not a godly character to be seen in a Child of God. It is exhausting. It is a killer. It thrives in an environment of hate, jealousy, egocentric and pride. It always creates a regrettable, shameful scene before others. It is selfish, ridicules others views, only sees its own views and always follows its own ways. It destroys friendships, breaks up families, drives away good people from you and creates animosity in relationships.
Have you been living in strife? you need to repent of this sin and ask God to forgive you for accommodating that spirit of strife. Have you been quarrelsome, bad-tempered, argumentative, or uncooperative? Are you always bickering, causing a controversy or clashing with others? Do you refuse to see the views of others and only uphold your views as superior or the ultimate? These are character traits of strife. It should be abhorred, tamed and completely quenched among Christians.
You need to set things straight with the people around you who have been affected as a result of that cantankerous nature. Above all, you need to start cultivating a peaceful, harmonious environment.
Say a Prayer for forgiveness over the sin of strife
Dear God, forgive me for the sin of strife. Your word says to stay away from foolish and stupid arguments. Forgive me for those moments where I have been so argumentative without a cause. Your word says those with greedy spirit stirs up strife, search my heart and deliver me from greediness. It is written that avoiding strife brings a man honor, help me to keep away from strife at all costs. This I pray in Jesus name. Amen
