Lent Day 18: I Declare The Lord Jesus Christ Is My Righteousness – Jehovah Tsidkenu

Have you ever felt so unclean, so unworthy that it makes you cry? The Lord Jesus Christ is your righteousness, cry to him. He is Jehovah Tsidkenu -The Lord our righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6). He makes you right before the father, he covers your sins, guilts and shame. Satan has nothing on you. Because of his righteousness imputed on to you, you have been made holy, no longer unclean or unworthy. You can live right before God for his name’s sake.

I was once in a courtroom fighting for justice. I noticed that every accusation laid up against me by the prosecutor were taken up by the judge who presided over the case. For every accusation, there was a counter-statement from the judge that put the prosecutor in a vulnerable state. My representative had very little statements to make in support of my case. At the end of the day, the judge ruled in my favour thereby making me right before the law. Now imagine that and much more from Jehovah Tsidkenu.

Jehovah Tsidkenu sees beyond what you can see. He covers you with his wings. He fights the battles you can see and the ones you cannot see. When the accuser of brethren shows up to accuse you before the father, Jehovah Tsidkenu is your representative before God, pleading your case and making intercession on your behalf. Make a bold declaration about him today.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare the Lord Jesus Christ is my righteousness. I have been justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I will no longer live in sin but I will live in righteousness. I will no longer live by law but I will live by faith. He knew no sin yet he was made to become sin for me, that I might be made the righteousness of God in him and by his stripes, I am healed. This is my declaration.

I declare the Lord Jesus Christ is my righteousness. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I shall be called saved and I will live in safety. This is my declaration.
