Christian lifestyle means that as new Christians, you will no longer need to practice the works of darkness but you will strive to live in holiness and in kindness. You will renew your mind as you dig deep in the word (John 12:2) and your life will be completely transformed (Ephesians 4:23). Get ready for an adventure with the light of the world, Jesus Christ (John 8:12). Get ready to leave the rat race behind and to win the race ahead through the denial of self, carrying your cross and following Christ all the way (Matthew 16:24-26). You will no longer live in sadness but God will fill your heart with joy and peace (Romans 15:13).

The following scriptural declarations will help you to affirm your true identity in Christ and help build your confidence in Christ Jesus.

Make a Declaration of Faith

  • I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
  • I am in Christ Jesus now,
    I am a new creation
    old things have passed away
    all things have become new
I am no longer subjected to old way of doing things
I am at liberty to do the right things through Christ who gives me strength. (2 Corinthians 5:17).
  • I am part of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that I may proclaim the excellencies of him who called me out of darkness into his marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).
