Stress is one of the things we all encounter on a day to day basis. If it were human we would recognise it from afar, prepare our minds for its arrival, fight against it or avoid it altogether. If it were a man, we would pull ourselves together, brace its consequences and prepare our minds for whatever attack he might bring our way and if it were a woman, we would devise a way to deal with her eccentricity or complexity. However, stress is not easily seen nor recognisable until it has struck and neither does it come in different appearances of women. Instead, it takes the form of a spirit, travels through the air, sometimes possesses a human body and appears through situations and circumstances.
Though invisible in nature, it somehow slips through the invisible world and slowly makes its way into our world causing damages as it travels around. It does not travel alone, it brings with it anxiety, aggravation, fear, anger, offence and a whole lot of other emotional outbursts that is not good for your health. It steals f4om the abundant life Christ came to give his friends (John 10:10), kills destinies and destroys lives. Stress is not kind to your health or your emotional well-being. By the time you recognise its work, it may have stolen a large chunk of your peace of mind and it may have caused so much damage to your health.
You no longer need to wait for stress to attack before you prepare yourself against its attack. You no longer need to give stress access into your home and into your life or into your world. You can equip yourself with the word of God by knowing your identity in Christ, train yourself to recognise stress appearances and its triggers in your life, resist stress and its cohorts attack, speak the word of God to guard yourself and stress will flee from you. You can begin to equip yourself with the word of God on a day to day basis against stress attack, resist stress and its cohorts and they will flee from you.
