“Trust in God with all your heart and He will direct your path“(Proverbs 3:5-6)
A vision came to my mind as I attempted to write this post and it was that of a baby who has nothing to fear because his parents are there to watch over him. Some times we are like that baby on our Christian faith; we believe in God for simple little things and he does it for us but other times we find it difficult to trust him for bigger things. In fact we sometimes find it easier to trust in the world that we see than trusting in the God that we do not see.
Trust that He is working everything out in your favour and you will reap your reward. Trust his presence is in your life, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in his ability, He is able to bring your dreams and desires to pass. Have you ever seen a child who does not trust his parents or a horserider who does not trust the horse he is riding? Hardly does this ever happen! Mutual trust usually exists between both parties. The child completely trusts his parents with unwavering faith and a horse does not allow a human to mount him unless he has gained the trust of the rider.
God is trustworthy! He is your heavenly father and He has got you firmly in his hands. You cannot slip through his hands. He will not forsake you nor abandon you. If He says it, He will fulfil it. Give Him unreserved, undivided and uncompromising trust in your life and you will experience the utmost unshaken backing from the Lord. He is worthy of your total trust. When things are tough and life is hard, it may be difficult to trust in God. But He is a God who can breeze in with ease in his hands and He gives you peace in your life.
You may not see results immediately but He is working it out for the long run. Whatever the Lord does is for a lifetime and not for a mere pleasure in the short term. Perhaps you are looking out for signs and wonders but he is whispering his stillness in your heart, telling you to be at peace, do not worry nor be in a hurry, he is working it out for your good. Allow him to perfect it all in the spiritual so that the physical manifestation can last longer than your expectation.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and He will direct your path (Proverbs 3:5)”.
