Biblical Declarations for the Persecuted Christians

Declaration of faith

I am fighting the good fight of faith and I am winning on a daily basis with Christ on my side. I have the strength I need to carry me through each day and angels are fighting my battles to give me victory all the days of my life.

Every Christian will encounter persecution in one form or the other in their lifetime. It could be against your faith, your new ideals or morals, your image or your personality or it could be on anything. The reality of the world we live in is that somehow someday someone somewhere will choose to bully you, pick on you or persecute you for your Christian belief. It is part of the ongoing battle against the flesh when we choose to follow Christ. It is the cross we all carry in this world as children of God.

In his own words, Jesus said; “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” (Matthew 16:24). This is the cross we carry for going against old beliefs and clinging on to a new belief in God. It is the cross of giving up on practising religion and swapping it for a true relationship with God. Carrying the cross means fighting against the lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and the pride of life for an entirely new life in Christ Jesus and this cross always attracts persecution of some form from the kingdom of darkness. It is the small price we all pay to follow the truth, the way and the life.

According to the Open Doors UK world watch list of the persecuted Christians, the top 5 most persecuted Christian countries in the world are being persecuted for their belief in Jesus Christ. Pakistan Christians are falsely accused of blasphemy, denied of education or work and churches are bombed. In Libya churches are forbidden, Christian migrants are targeted or sold into slavery. Somalian Christians can be killed on the spot because Islam is the only accepted religion in the country and the Bible, means instant execution. In Afghanistan Christians have to hide even after death. In North Korea leaders are worshipped like Gods, there is no freedom, people live under surveillance. And If I may add to this list, its the Northern Nigeria where Christians are killed and churches are set on fire during a Sunday church service.

We are all persecuted for one thing or the other in our lifetime but how we respond to our persecutors matters a great deal to Jesus. He said that; “everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven” (Matthew 10:33). Jesus is ready to do whatever it takes for his followers to stand in faith. He is standing by the persecuted Christians in every battle and sending angels on guard to protect each person from all arrows of the enemies.

Every day may come with a different form of persecution against Christians worldwide and it could lead to or even mean death but we must stand strong in our faith. We must call on God to save his children from persecution and we must strengthen our faith in the word of God through scriptural declarations and faith affirmations. They will help us on this Christian journey and keep us focused on God. The following biblical declarations are available for your use. They will help change your perspective from your current situation and refocus your mind on what really matters to God – you.

While you’re at speaking out loud these declarations over yourself, let’s not forget to send and share these declarations to the persecuted Christians who need these too. The more we speak the word over ourselves we change our world for the best. Let’s change our world together.

For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Challenges of life will not weigh me down but they will strengthen my faith further in Christ.

I have a palce in heaven and neither tribulations nor the trials of this life will rid me of a place in my father’s house.

I will stay focused on Christ until he brings me home to meet our Father in heaven.

I will stay strong in Christ while here on earth so that I can enjoy my place when I get to heaven.

My new life is hidden in Christ. Nothing can uproot me from the hands of him who saved me.

I will not turn my back on Christ who saved me from destruction but instead, I will forget the past and forge ahead with my newly found faith in God.

I believe that Christ will raise my mortal body on the last day and he will quicken my spirit in him.

I am not afraid of what man can do to me but instead, I surrender to live my life in a reverent fear of God who gives me life.

My reward is in heaven and it’s greater than any persecutions I suffer on earth.

I stay focused on God and he will strengthen my faith in Christ.

My reward in heaven is eternal, my persecution on earth is only for a short while, my troubles will soon come to an end.

Even if my persecution is ten times worse I will remain steadfast in faith and believing in the God of my salvation.

I rejoice in Christ who grants me the grace to suffer for his sake one earth.

I believe in the name of son of God’s son, Jesus Christ to enable me in love for others so that I can fulfil his command to love.
