5 Things that Make Declarations Work

Declarations are mere pronouncements of facts that yield no results, whereas biblical declarations, otherwise known as scriptural declarations of faith or faith affirmations, are words of truth from the Bible. They are grounded in the Word of God, and they produce desired results in alignment with God’s purpose for your life. They are gospel truths of your identity in Christ. They help you memorise scriptures, empower you to fight your fears and help you overcome everyday life challenges.

You might know declarations and affirmations are words spoken out loud to manifest your earthly desires. You may have spoken out words into existence but noticed your pronouncements had not changed situations or circumstances so far. It’s time you started speaking the truth. They work and can change situations or circumstances. The more you speak God’s word over yourself daily, the more aligned you become with God’s purpose and plans for your life. They address the roots of any challenges and help you get grounded in the word of God for your destiny. Those declarations that are aligned with God’s promises, plans and purposes for your life in the Bible work wonders.

Meanwhile, those declarations with no solid ground in Christ or his word are empty statements spoken in vain. They have no power to back them up and, nobody can command a thing and bring it to pass by themselves but God. Only God speaks and makes things happen in an instant. He turns situations around within a twinkling of an eye. Through His word, Moses commanded the sea to open up, and the children of Israel walked freely through heaps of water. Suppose you are willing to adhere to the rules of declarations and practise those things mentioned in this blog post, then here, are a few of those things that make declarations work so that your commands can work and bring you satisfactory results.

5 Things that Make Declarations Work

  • A Vision. At creation, God had a vision for the new heavens and the new earth before God spoke out loud his words over the universe. God began to effect changes on the ground after a vision of what he wanted to see in the world. Every creation was a product of God’s vivid imagination for the universe. If you must see the changes you need in your situation, you must have a vision for your life. Whatever you desire to achieve through the word of God must first start with a picture in alignment with God’s will, for “without a vision, people perish (Proverbs 29:18).
  • The Scriptural truths. Every great invention starts with finding the truth. If you gather as many information as you need in the Bible, apply the truths to your situation, you’d have an informed decision and be in a position for your breakthrough. When the Spirit of God hovered over the waters at creation, He gathered enough evidence to use in the creation of the world. You also have God’s spirit who can reveal the truth you need to for your situation. It is, therefore, up to you to search out the truth in God’s words for your benefits. “Now o Lord God, You are God, and Your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant (2 Samuel 7:28)”. God’s word is the truth you need for the solution to your life challenges.
  • Have A Belief in God and His son Jesus Christ. You cannot make biblical declarations without a belief in God and His son, Jesus Christ. They have the power to activate the Words you speak and make them work for your good; you do not. Your statements of facts without a belief in God are mere words with no power. Your declarations must be rooted in a belief in the triune God. They cause all things to work together for your good. Only faith in God will align you with God’s plan for your life, and just this belief can build up as you wait for the manifestation of God’s promises. “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established” (2 Chronicles 20:20).
  • Your Words: Are your words in alignment with God’s word? When they are in alignment, they will debunk all the enemies’ lies and grant you victory in life. The more you speak out loud, your truths, the more you speak into existence your freedom. You must lay hold on facts applicable to you, declare it out loud over yourself for as many times as possible, and then you must leave it in God’s hands with the belief that He has heard you and He will honour his word to bring it to pass.
  • Surrender to God. After you have done all things, rest. Leave it in God’s hands. If he has said it in His word, and you have aligned yourself to the truth, God will see that He fulfils His Word in your life. He honours His word above his name, and He will see to the activation of His promises. Henceforth, you need not worry about answers to your prayers or declarations because it’s all in God’s hands at the end of the day.
