Choose Lasting Happiness In Jesus With God’s Word

The world often offers temporary happiness that comes with material things but there is true lasting happiness that is found in Jesus. It is a gift from God that comes when you choose Jesus as your Lord and saviour. It is a form of happiness that cannot be bought with money and neither can it be exchanged with worldly material things. It comes to dwell in your heart when you invite Jesus into your life and it grows within you when you spend time in the word of God. You have the capacity to contain it in your heart and you have the power in your tongue to speak it into existence in your world.

Truly lasting happiness comes when you draw closer to God daily. When you study God’s word and you speak it over yourself, it will take root in your heart and it will begin to change your word as it manifests in your world. You must then be careful when making declarations with your tongue as your world begins to change in alignment with God’s word. You have the power to do it. Nobody else will affect the change you want in your life but you. Acquisition of money, wealth or material things in the world will not choose happiness for you, you have to choose it for yourself in God.

You must align your actions with the words you speak over your life. When Hannah the mother of Samuel believed God for a child, she earnestly sought the Lord over her situation and the man of God prayed for her. Thereafter, she dusted herself up, wiped away her tears and chose to be happy. The Lord remembered her after her actions and with the changed attitude in her behaviour, she conceived a child and gave birth to Samuel whom she dedicated to the Lord for the rest of his life (1 Samuel 1).

When the world is busy and distracted away from happiness, you must stay focused on Jesus and he will fill you with happiness. The cares of the world is a joy stealer and its reward is false happiness that only lasts but a mere moment. Do not allow it to carry you away with its fantasies but when you find yourself drawn away from Jesus, retrace your steps back to him and he will restore your joy.  In the world people always chase material things of this world, why don’t you choose eternal lasting joy and happiness? You have the power in your mind and in your tongue to change your world, use it to your advantage.
