You can easily fall into anxiety, fear and panic attacks when your life goals seem unachievable halfway through the year. However, these things are mere emotional disturbances. They are not part of God’s plans and purpose for your life but a battlefield of the mind to overcome. Even when things are tough, remember that the battle belongs to God, and victory is already yours in Christ. Therefore, engage your authority in Christ and speak biblical declarations over yourself. They’ll equip you with the truths to conquer your fears and win with the word. Suppose these emotional dysregulations attack you all at once, then you will have no choice but to counter their attack with the word. After all, your Heavenly Father honours his word more than his name (Psalm 138:2), and he’ll do whatever you ask in his son’s name. He will deliver you from evils(John 16:23).

Additionally, no matter how much these crises descend on you, God’s word will always conquer. Therefore, think fast when the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy. Be ready to fight your fears with the belief to overcome with the word. Nothing else is as immune against them as the word. Moreso, your case is different because you equip yourself with biblical truths. Therefore, speak biblical declarations against these devils’ foothold and conquer with the biblical truths. Speak forth light to come at the end of the tunnel, and it will. Thankfully, God honours his word more than His name (Psalm 138:2). Therefore, you don’t have to stay in those rat holes for long. God will fulfil his purpose for your life, and you will live an abundant life in Christ.

How do you overcome anxiety, fear and panic attacks?

First and foremost, call on the name of Jesus Christ. For at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ, every knee must bow and every tongue confesses that Jesus is Lord (Philippians 2:10-11). Jesus Christ will not turn away anybody who calls on his name when in trouble. Therefore, whenever you find yourself under emotional or mental attacks such as these, call on Jesus Christ. Although, it is crucial to say here that you must know who Jesus Christ is personally and surrender to his Lordship. Then, he will deliver you in your life crisis. Also, if you know Jesus but cannot remember a Bible verse on fear, anxiety or panic attack to declare at that moment, you can call out the name of Jesus Christ several times. Before you know it, darkness will disappear, and you will conquer in Christ.

Another way to overcome anxiety, fear and panic attacks is by declaring your identity in Christ. You can allow and disallow things coming into your life as a child of God. Therefore, tell the devil that you disallow the rods of the wicked in your life (Psalm 125:3). Even if your flesh reacts to things with anxiety or fear and the devil sneakily finds his way to you, remind him of your identity in Christ. Speak biblical declarations of your identity in Christ over yourself. Tell him that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21), and you will step into your believers’ authority to overcome every life challenge. Speak biblical truths to conquer in life today. The Bible says that “you will declare a thing, and it will be established for you” (Job 22:28-29) and your family members.

Thankfully, Jesus Christ already encouraged us not to worry even though each day carries trouble of its own (Matthew 6:34). However, the onus is on us to be vigilant and address those moments of attacks by raising the standard against these things with the spirit of God in us (Isaiah 59:19). So instead of going along with the sayings when life gives you lemon you make lemonade and accepting these mental and emotional attacks as life dealings to you, you can mark your territory with the blood of Jesus Christ and declare who you are in Christ to whom you belong. When the devil comes against you like a flood, leaving you vulnerable and with unbearable pain, boldly declare your true identity in Christ and disallow him from touching the apple of God’s eyes (you and me).
