Did you know you have an in-built stress resistance? Yes, you do. God built it into you. Otherwise, you would not have bounced back from every stress attack you encounter on a daily basis. If you did not have an inbuilt stress resistance, you probably would not be standing to see the day. Stress is a joy killer and a peace-thief that should not be given the time of day. You need to not allow it into your homes, your streets or your workplace. You can resist it and it will flee from you.
The devil is so cunning he has children of God distracted with stress, anxiety and worry. Thereby they will not see clearly and pursue that which is necessary for the kingdom of God. At the point of resistance, a bottle of acidic coke will burst open when shaken up. If you do not resist stress with your inbuilt power, it will continue to distract you from living the abundant life Christ came to give to his friends (John 10:10) and you might eventually lose control like that shaken up bottle of coke.
God is for you. The devil and his cohorts have nothing on you (Romans 8:31). Greater is He that is in you than the stress ravaging through the world (1 John 4:4). Those who are for you are more than those who are against you. You are surrounded by legions of angels fighting your battles on a daily basis (Psalm 91:11-12). Though stress is invisible and sometimes unavoidable in the world we live in, you need to align yourself with the word of God and engage with your inbuilt power.
Whenever Jesus was faced with stress be it through temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 26:54), betrayal of his best friends and cousin, feeling overwhelmed with the task at hand at Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46), he surrendered himself to God and approached each situation with the word of God built up in him. You ought to recognise stress activities and resist it with the word of God spoken out loud over yourself. You can block out stress from approaching your world by putting up a guard over your spirit.
You may find stress living in your home. It may follow you as you step out into the world. You may pick up its vibes at work, in the gym, in the community, in the atmosphere, in the newspapers, on television, or from everywhere! Stress is not part of God’s plans or blessings for your life and you need to resist it in your life. Your mind may only have the capacity for a certain level of stress, this is the reason why you need to stay topped up on your stress resistance power. Strengthen your mind continuously with the Word of God and when you encounter stress, resist it with boldness and it will flee from you.
