“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you” (Isaiah 43:2).
The image that comes to mind when meditating on this scripture is that of an individual crossing over a deep water and this person is afraid of being swept away but there is someone stronger and bigger than this individual who is walking side by side to him or her and urging them to carry on crossing because he is with them and they have nothing to be afraid of. This is exactly what the peace of God is when you submit your fears and anxieties to him.
