Thank God for Christ the greatest gift of all time. If it were not for Christ, my mother and all her children would not be alive today. Her story is one of the many stories that makes my heart be filled with thanksgiving to God. At some point in her life, my mother suffered from a heart condition that caused her to faint all the time. She was trained as a teacher but she simply could not function in that capacity. Due to her condition, she could not do anything with herself. She was written off by the doctors and one day she eventually gave up the ghost. Continue reading “Thank God for the Gift of Christ!”
Thanksgiving is the remedy for sadness, discontentment, complaints and for when things are bad. It shifts your focus from the trouble at hand and places it on the solution provider. Instead of being focused on the problems at hand, King David never ceased from giving thanks to God who delivered him, forgave his sins and gave him victory over his enemies. It is good for you to give thanks to God for all he has done for you also.
Give thanks to God in the highest who controls the affairs of man on earth. He sees all things and he knows all things. He created all things and he is above all beings. Give thanks to God who sees to it that there are seasons and times on earth. He changes things on earth in the spiritual realm even when it seems like things are not moving forward. Give thanks to God in the highest who sends his angels to fight your battles for you even when life seems tough. Continue reading “Give Thanks to God In The Highest”
Thank God for Jesus! The greatest gift to humanity. If it were not for him, in what state would the world be today? If it were not for Jesus there is no hope of eternal life. If it were not for Jesus, forgiveness would have been inevitable (Ephesians 1:7). Through Jesus, we have access to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Through Jesus, we are reconciled to our heavenly father (Romans 5:10). Thank God for Jesus through whom the lonely find a home, the sick are healed and people are delivered. Thank God for Jesus who brought back the lost sheep to the good shepherd.
I recently watched John Lewis’ promotional video with Sir Elton John and in it was the slogan some gifts are more than just a gift. Jesus is more than just a gift. He is the perfect gift the father could have given humanity. Through his death, we gain life. Through his bruises, we gain health. Through his humiliation, we are truly humbled. Through his pain we are hailed. Jesus is the gift that is more than just a gift. Continue reading “Thank God for Jesus!”
I love the hymn song; Count your blessings written by Johnson Oatman Junior. You have probably sang it in church or at home or perhaps you’ve heard someone else sang it. It’s a powerful song that calls humanity to show some attitude of Gratitude even when things aren’t going so well, focus less on those things and choose to see the many blessings that has come your way. Give thanks to God who always answers prayers. No matter how small, how big or how ridiculous those prayers you raised up to God may seem, God has released his answers to each one of them. He is a God who always answers prayers. Some of those answers may be in silence which means: “Wait! I am working things out”, or you may get a resounding “Yes! in which case you get an express response”, or it could be a blatant No! which means that what you have asked God for is either not a part of his plan for your life at that particular point in time or it might be detrimental to your life. Whichever one of those answers you may have received in recent years are answers and they are worth giving thanks to God for them. Continue reading “Give Thanks to God for Answered Prayers”
If not for that heart break you may not have met the right person today. If not for that failure you may not have known what it means to have success. If not for that defeat you may not have known what it means to win a battle. If not for that struggle you may not have known what it means to have it easy. If not for that break up you may not have known what it means to be standing on your own two feet today. If not for that traumatic experience you may not have known what it means to put yourself in other people’s shoes. If not for that character you may not have known what it means to guard your heart. If not for that rejection you may not have known what it feels like to be accepted. If not for hunger you may not have known what it means to be full. I am thankful to the Lord who has given me the grace to see yet another day. I will rejoice with thanksgiving in my heart and with songs of praises in my mouth to the God of my salvation. He has shown me his mercy and his goodness has carried me through these many years. This is the day the Lord has supplied provisions for my needs; made the sun to shine on path and the moon to brighten my night. His breath is in my lungs to keep me alive till he calls me home. My protector and my shelter he keeps from all trouble. He fights my battles and He gives me victory above all others. Continue reading “Heartfelt Thanksgiving to God”
Most people often see the start of a New Year as a fresh start. We write new goals, new vision, missions and objectives for the new beginning. And we hope for the best to accomplish tangible things in the year. Congratulations! You made it into the New Year alive. Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness in your life. Shout it out from your lungs and let the whole world know the Lord is good and his mercies endures forever.
Many people wish they would see and make it to the new year but they did not make it. You made it into the new year not because of your doing; you made it into the year not because of your good deeds nor for your good look, you made it because the Lord God is gracious to you. He showers you with his mercies, he sustains and helps you in all your doings. What could have swallowed you up in the year 2016 only served as a conduit to a new you? Today you are alive, you are still standing and you can hope for a better tomorrow. Continue reading “Thank God for New Beginnings!”
