Equipping Christians with scriptural declarations and biblical prayers to overcome everyday life challenges
Category: Declare It
Imagine speaking good and godly things into existence thus changing your world for good. What would your life and your world look like then? This is exactly what God the father did at the beginning of time. He spoke good things into existence at creation (Genesis 1) and they came to be.
He wants you to do the same and that’s why you are created as a human being to be like Him and after His likeness (Genesis 1:26). He has breathed His strength and spirit into you to become who He wants you to be. You have been empowered from on high to be creative, to bring forth good and great things unimaginable, to produce beautiful things, to be like him in all ramifications (Genesis 1:27-30).
The Bible says that death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). You hold the power to speak life or death into your world. Why not choose life? “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life so that you and your descendants might live! Deuteronomy 30:19
Declarations simply mean proclamations, announcements, statements. Biblical declarations, therefore, means the declaration of biblical powerful words over your life. When you make a biblical declaration, you proclaim absolute truth in God’s word over your life, thus denying the power of the enemy in operation over your life. you can then break free into God’s abundance for your life. Your words, your thoughts, and your world will begin to align with God’s thoughts and words when you make biblical declarations. Spiritually speaking, a demand is placed upon heaven to attend to your words and bring about God’s perfect will into your life.
Bible Declarations is also for spiritual growth. It builds up your faith in God. It propels and ushers you into God’s presence helping you to pray effectively. It refreshes your spirit, renews your mind and transforms your life. It gives you a clear understanding of God’s promises in the Bible to you and helps you to retain the word of God in your heart. God brings declarations to pass because He watches over His word to bring them to pass.
Declaration of Faith: Christ, Himself is my peace. He has broken every barrier and he has removed dividing walls between me and his peace for me (Ephesians 2:14 NAS). Henceforth I will live in peace and I will be at peace with all men.
There’s a really good reason why we speak the word of God over ourselves. It’s because scriptural declaration helps us to connect with God’s promises for our lives. They remind us of what God has said about a particular situation in the Bible and they enable us to connect with the power in the word to solve any problem. The more we speak out loud these biblical declarations the more confident we become in God’s plans for our lives, and the more we declare the words the more they help us to memorise scriptures and align us with God’s will for our lives. Speaking the word over ourselves helps to refocus our minds on things that really matter to God.
Declaration of faith: I am fighting the good fight of faith and I am winning on a daily basis with Christ on my side. I have the strength I need to carry me through each day and angels are fighting my battles to give me victory all the days of my life.
Every Christian will encounter persecution in one form or the other in their lifetime. You could be persecuted for your faith, your new ideals or morals, for your image or your personality and it could be on anything. The reality in this world is that someday someone somewhere may choose to bully you, pick on you or persecute you for your Christian belief. It is part of an ongoing battle against the flesh when we choose to follow Christ. It is the cross we all carry in this world as children of God.
I enjoyed watching the movie Pinocchio as a child. In one scene, the father woke him up, helped him get ready and gave him the provision for the day. And just as Pinocchio was about to step out of the door, his father said out loud to him; “I love you Pinocchio”. What a great way to start the day! to receive words of affirmation.
Your heavenly father also affirms you on a daily basis. He pronounces a blessing of fruitfulness, productivity and abundance over you, his child, each passing day. As he wakes you up each morning and he helps you get ready for the day, he pronounces a blessing over you saying; “Be fruitful” (Genesis 1:28).
You already carry the seeds of fruitfulness in you only if you will believe it and allow it to grow into abundance. From the time of your creation your heavenly father put in you those seeds of fruitfulness so that you can live a life of abundance, you can increase and not decrease, you can grow in godly character that is needed to build fruitful relationships, both with God and with man.
God rejoices and sings over you each passing day (Zephaniah 3:17). He is your personal cheerleader as much as he is mine and he wants to see you thrive in life, not just to survive. He wants your day to be prosperous as much as he wants your soul to prosper (3 John 1:2). He wants you to succeed and not fail.

Are you ready for a brand new future?
My mum said to me the other day, “I don’t want to take this many pills anymore”. She is 75 years old and desires to live a medication free life in the new year. Although those vitamins help to support her aging bones and body in functioning, she still continues to speak aloud her desire to change her world.
In order to live transformed by the renewing of our minds, we need to first feed our hearts and minds with God’s prescribed medicine for our souls. He has dispensed many of those pills to us in His words and they make our lives worth living on earth.
I learnt a new thing about broken bones recently and it is that, to fix them, they will have to be aligned with a metal and a bandage for a while until they heal. Nothing else needs to be done. No gruesome hospital operation needs to be carried out, only an X-RAY of the broken bones to help the doctors know how best to align the bones with the metal and then they observe the healing over a period of time. Forgiveness is not always easy most especially when you have to forgive yourself. It may be easy to forgive others when you do not see them every day but you cannot run away from yourself and this makes it harder. But however hard this is for you, you have to let bygone be bygone and you have to embrace God’s love in order to move forward.
We have all been through those moments when you wish you hadn’t said that or you hadn’t done that and it may be difficult to move forward from the mistakes we have made. In those moments when you are finding it difficult to let go of the shame you have caused, you may need to turn to God for help, comfort and consolation because your mistakes are all part o your learning curve in life.
I watched a Christian leader recently recounted his sins to some of the people he leads. With his head bowed and his voice shaken over what he thinks is an unforgivable offence, he was finding it difficult to come to terms with what he had done wrong. At the end of his confession was a piece of information even more shocking, he was going to step down from his position as a leader and he had already told the church council about it. Declaration of faith: I am who God says I am. I am a child of a great King and I am privileged to be one with God. God approves me for greatness and I have no choice than to become great. Henceforth I will no longer live a life of mediocrity but I will work hard, be diligent and I will stay focused my God given assignment on earth until my reward from the Lord..
How are you feeling today? Are you feeling good or not so good? I get it if you are feeling either way. I understand your feelings because I have been there before. a really good experience or because we simply made a decision to feel good about ourselves. Other times though, not so good. We feel the world hates us, is too bitter around us, is about to collapse on us so much so that we want the ground to open up and swallow us up like I sometimes feel.
We feel this way sometimes because we are feeling condemned, rejected or judged but our feelings can be misleading. Let’s took at the life of Saul turned Paul for example. Saul felt so strongly against Christ so much so that he persecuted the disciples of Jesus. It wasn’t until he had an encounter with Jesus that his feelings of hatred turned into the feelings of love for God and for the world around him.
The good news though is that no matter how we are feeling, whether good or bad, and no matter what we are going through, God’s thoughts about his children never change. They are the same things he said to those in the past, to us who are present and to those who are coming after us. These words are our real identity in God and they’ll never change.
When we receive them into our lives we are saying to God that we believe in his word and we are in agreement with his plans for our lives. Speaking out loud these declarations over ourselves will not only remind us of God’s ever present never ending love to us daily but it will also help us to be grounded in our true identity in God. They will bring our minds back to who truly matters in life and also build up our faith in God as we so need.
