Category: Monday Moments with Christ

Enjoy your Mondays with Christ if you are suffering from Monday blues. It may be the most productive day of the week, it can also be the most stressful day of the week but you no longer need to dread going to work on Mondays because of the stress it posses on the day. These declarations will align your thoughts with Gods thoughts and help you to focus on Christ through whom you can have real success and achievements in the course of your day.

Whenever you’re feeling frustrated with work, overwhelmed with tasks at hand, confused with information, inadequate to make the right decision, afraid of your boss, dreading the pile of work at your desk, dealing with that cantankerous colleague or boss, dreading the long journey to work or unsure of how to deal with the stress of the day, Mondays With Christ (#MWC) will steer your thoughts in alignment with God’s thoughts towards you for the day.

It encourages you to take a moment to pause and declare the truth in God’s word over your situation. Whatever the case may be, a one minute pause to commune with Christ will relieve you of anxiety, stress, fear, panic or any other negative emotions the enemy tries to lay on you for the day and it will give you the confidence you need to achieve victory in the course of the day.

Enjoy Your Monday Moments with Christ

Come away with me. Let us go to a quiet place and rest for a while (Mark 6:31-33).
I recently resigned from my day job, albeit abruptly and almost immediately, I started to fill in my free time with activities; researching for new roles, updating my CV, applying for jobs and doing everything else that was ignored during my employment. Now I know as a child of God that my life is in His hands and I believe that my steps are ordered by Him but Not once did I pause to think that the Lord must have ALLOWED my day job to end abruptly for a reason in this season. However, in a hiatus moment, the Lord reached out and said to me, come away with me…. there’s a reason I allowed that employment to end abruptly. There’s a reason for this free time. I need to show you something and I need you to pay close attention. Continue reading “Enjoy Your Monday Moments with Christ”

Trust In God

“Trust in God with all your heart and He will direct your path“(Proverbs 3:5-6).

It can take a lot for us human to trust in the Lord we do not see than to trust a man who we do see regularly. It’s simply easier to trust in someone who you have a relationship with than someone you don’t know, hardly see or hardly talk to. Unfortunately, the man we do see regularly betrays us and lets us down while the Lord we do not see is faithful at all times (2 Timothy 2:13). He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) and he will never disappoint us (Psalm 145:13).

A child does not have to worry about his protection from harm or fear for his own safety because he instinctively trust his parents to do it for him. He may not have any power of his own but he will rest in the power of his parents who knows best for him. The same narrative applies to the children of God. We ought to know and believe that we have a Father in heaven who exists and he will go to any length to protect us from all harm (Hebrews 11:6).

Our relationship with God gives us the privileges of protection, safety, comfort and much more from the Lord but our doubts wills top us from receiving anything from God.

When we relate with God at any point in life we are assured of God’s protection but most importantly, God’s comfort even when we do get hurt, this is called maturing in the spirit.

What matters to this child was the presence of his parent(s) looking after him, is available for him and are ready to do anything to protect the child. This baby couldn’t care less on whatever happened him because, his parents were there for him.

This trust in man who we see regularly can be a big issue for anyone who have been betrayed or let down in one way or the other.  But how about a trust in a God who we do not see? Some times we are like that baby on our Christian faith; we believe in God for simple little things and he does it for us but other times we find it difficult to trust him for bigger things. In fact we sometimes find it easier to trust in the world that we see than trusting in the God that we do not see.

A vision came to my mind as I attempted to write this post and it was that of a baby who has nothing to fear because his parents are there to watch over him.

Trust that He is working everything out in your favour and you will reap your reward. Trust his presence is in your life, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in his ability, He is able to bring your dreams and desires to pass. Have you ever seen a child who does not trust his parents or a horserider who does not trust the horse he is riding? Hardly does this ever happen! Mutual trust usually exists between both parties. The child completely trusts his parents with unwavering faith and a horse does not allow a human to mount him unless he has gained the trust of the rider. Continue reading “Trust In God”

Call Forth the Gifts Within You

You are gifted! Yes you. You who is the creative creation of the creative God. You are beautifully and wonderfully made by the creator of the heavens and the earth(Psalm 139:14). Yes you, who is still trying to find yourself. You claim to be the child of God but you hide away from the glare eyes of the world. You are gifted! Yes you. You have unique gifts, talents, skills and abilities within that must be called forth. You have the gifts to manifest the glory of the Almighty God within. You need to call forth and show off the gifts of God within. Continue reading “Call Forth the Gifts Within You”

Protect Yourself From Stress with Biblical Declarations

For the first time in my adult life I experienced a chronic stress. I didn’t know what hit me without warning until the Lord delivered me from it. I could have protected myself from it had I been aware of its tactics and so I wasn’t prepared for it. You know what they say, “what you don’t know cannot kill you”, but what you do know you can protect yourself from it. Had I been exposed to a level of stress one way or the other, perhaps I would have been prepared and I would have protected myself from it.

I am not sharing this to make you feel afraid but to expose to you that this is one of the way the devil steals, kills and destroy lives, and you can learn from my personal experience so you don’t have to go through the same attack that I went through and you can protect yourself from becoming a stress victim. You know what they say, “prevention is better than cure” but a better way to prevent a thing is to protect yourself from it.

Thankfully we have the right armor to protect ourselves from stress and it is the word of God. It will guard and protect your mind against stress attack when you wear it with all diligence; “Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life” (Proverbs 4:23). It will

The Message of Christ: Be Humble

Humility is not one of the Christian character traits we often see or find in people these days. Everybody is self-centered and self-focused. In fact, the media often encourages us to take pride in ourselves, to put our best foot forward with no consideration for others, to fight for that promotion above others and to take pride in our achievements. But this is not the message of Christ. Continue reading “The Message of Christ: Be Humble”
