God loves His children so much so that he has made several promises to us all, and he will fulfil each one of these promises to us if we can learn to seek for them and ask Him for them. We have a part to play in the fulfilment of God’s promises to us; we need to find those promises, bring them before our heavenly Father in the place of prayer and we will receive whatever we ask Him. It is God’s delight to fulfil His word to His children. So let us get started, let us find those hidden treasures and let us lay our claims on each one of them. Has he said it and will he not bring it to pass?
You are the spiritual guide in the homes. You direct, provide and protect your family. You are the first love to a girl child and the first role model to a boy child. It is a privileged role and a divine one. You are a model of a husband, father, and lover. A role comes with no pay, yet it comes with so much pressure that words cannot express. I proudly call you FATHER!
Pray the promises: I thank you, Father, for the gift of prayer and for the grace to approach your throne of mercy. I thank you for you are always ready to hear prayers of the saints. May your will be done as we pray together today. May we experience your love, peace, unity and harmony as we seek your face. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
If you have ever been a fan of acronyms while growing up, you’ll know that they can help you to remember some arduous information you don’t understand, yet you need them to pass your A-levels in secondary school. The Lord’s prayer works similarly. It gives you a model to follow. It’s a guide to use when in communion with the Father. It’s the go-to formula to use when unsure of what to pray and how to pray. It is not to be chanted verbatim, but we can use it to help us pray effectively. It is the simplest yet the most potent form of prayer model to use.
We all have a favourite Psalm we pray with regularly. We do it because we know that when we pray the Psalms God answers. They’re his words and he’s bound by them. They’re his bonds and he does not go back on his words. Scripture says that “He watches over his words to fulfill it” (Jeremiah 1:12). When we bring his words back to him in prayer, he rises up to fulfill his promises. Continue reading “7 Powerful Psalms for Troubled Times”→
I thank you, Father, for this beautiful Sunday morning. I am awakening to new grace. I am living with your breath solely for this new phase. Your strength in this new age is replacing my weaknesses. With you by my side, I have new ideas for today. Heavenly Father, I thank you for this beautiful day.
First my brother called my mum one day and apologized. It was a prayer answered! It was a major breakthrough in my family! We had prayed for his return to the family for many years and one day, my long lost brother came back to us. He sought for peace to reign and by God’s grace we were reconciled. Today my family is reunited. Thanks be to God for an answered prayer!
I also received the most wonderful news of all time. It was a desire come true as I read through the letter that confirmed an amendment to my identity. As you all know that identity is everything and once it’s compromised you lose your real self. Today I can boldly thank God for the restoration of my identity at home and abroad. This is a desire come true. This was an answered prayer! Continue reading “2019 – The Year of Answered Prayers”→
Lord Jesus help me to grow in the awareness that you are really my sustenance and nobody else.
Help me to continuously increase in the recognition that only you can make me become somebody in life.
Help me to rest in your strength as I realize that I am weak in my flesh.
I pray that I may be solely and wholly committed to my walk with you all the days of my life.
I pray that I may be wholly contented with my life with you for the rest of my life.
I pray that I may not turn away from the path of righteousness for your namesake.
I pray that the devil will not have a chance to sift me from the kingdom of our heavenly father.
I pray that my reliance in you may grow deeper today and that my assurance in you may grow wider.
I pray that my faith in you may grow stronger and my zeal for you may grow bigger.
I pray that I may continue to rely on your wisdom and I will no longer lean on my own understanding.
I pray that I may yield to your instructions at all times and make you first in all that I do.

Grant me grace, power and the strength to do the Father’s will for the rest of my life
I pray in Jesus name.
Lord, my flesh burn with desires for things of this world.
My stomach churns with hunger for the food to feed my flesh.
My throat thirst for water that quenches temporarily.
My eyes lust for the worlds beauty and power that it gives.
But Lord, I pray that your word prevail in me.
Do not let my past dictate my future.
Do not let my present life unfold with ungodly features.
Make my future align with your plans and purpose for me.

Christians sometimes struggle with forgiveness and repentance. When we get hurt, we want immediate justice and vengeance. And when we hurt other people’s feelings, we find it hard to swallow our pride, reflect upon our actions, accept our faults, repent from our sins and make amends where necessary. Instead of fighting for peace, we pursue deceit and end up being defeated. Instead of letting go and letting God fight the battle, we allow the flesh to rule and lead us into taking matters into our own hands and taking vengeance whenever we can.
