Accept Jesus Christ As Your Lord and Saviour

It’s Easter Sunday and I recount the day I accepted Jesus Christ the saviour into my life. Before this day, I was still a sinner. Even though I grew up in a Christian home, I went through all the motion of praying, fasting, reading my Bible and going to church regularly. I even said the salvation prayer at some point in my teenage years but living the Christian life never really did sink into my mind.

I remember quite clearly the day I cried out to Jesus Christ to save me. I was drowning in sorrow, guilt and shame. I was depressed and going through a really rough time in all areas of my life. I was rejected by family and friends and nobody seemed to want to have anything to do with me. Speak the Word of Assurance for Your Salvation

There are moments in a Christian life when doubts set in and he needs an assurance of his salvation. Soon after he became a Christian in college, author C S Sprout wrote a book titled; Can I lose my salvation? he shared his experience where he was advised by an elderly woman to “drive a spiritual stake in the ground right now.” He needed to make sure his conversion was forever. You may not have received a sound advice like C S Sprout when you accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour but as time goes by, you may find life happen and you begin to wonder and ask yourself some serious questions; Am I a Christian?
