10 Daily Bible Declarations to Speak Over Yourself in August
Declarations of Faith: I am coming into a newness of life like never before. God is restoring my health into its fullness, and I will not lack any good thing. Today is a good day, and this month will yield good fruits unto me. I am coming back to God’s original plan for my life, and I will live to declare His goodness in the land of the living. I believe it, and God settles it.
Truth Be Told
Covid19 has turned the world upside down, and many lives will never remain the same again. But we have a God whose word we can rely upon and who has been faithful to us despite the pandemic. Today may look bleak as a result of lost lives, sicknesses and diseases, but our tomorrow will be better. There’s a newness coming to our lives in August, and there’s a refreshing springing forth in our paths. God will give us a full restoration of the time we have lost in 2020 if we cry out to Him in prayers and with the daily declarations.
8 Biblical Declarations to Speak Over Your Marriage Daily
Declaration of Faith: I declare proverbs 31 over myself that I will do my husband good at all times, and I will not engage myself in idle talks that will cause him any harm. I will allow the Spirit of God to lead me daily, and I will not mislead my husband into disobedience against God. We will both walk in love in obedience to our God, and we will enjoy our union together.
Marriages are a part of God’s plan for human beings. He settles the lonely in families, establishes communities, and he repopulates the world. Then, when wedding bells ring, we commit to honouring God with our bodies as we step into God’s plan for our lives. We also step into the unknown spiritual territory of spiritual attacks against marriages, self-sabotaging behaviours and statistical reports that can end a marriage in divorce in the first few years. If we’re going to defy these reports and overcome those attacks, then we will need to fortify our union with prayers and daily declarations. If not for any false alarms or superstitions, but for the mere known fact that the first few years after a wedding can be quite tricky to navigate, we ought to stay prayerful and claim God’s truth for our families.
10 Biblical Declarations to Encourage and Strengthen the Persecuted Christians
Declaration of faith: I am fighting the good fight of faith with Christ and I will win this battle with him on my side (1 Timothy 6:12).
I remember getting teary-eyed at the hearing of the fate of the persecuted Christians in various countries. I thought of their courage and the boldness they show in the face of adversity. Their lives couldn’t have been far from being different from mine, yet they make a stand for Jesus, even if it leads to death or imprisonment. There are at least over 300 million Christians in this situation, and they go through gruesome persecution with little or no intervention from their neighbours. Their faith in Christ in countries such as Afghanistan, North Korea, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso and, in my birth country, Nigeria means facing being stripped and beaten, isolation and rejection from loved ones, death by a fire while the service is going on in church on a Sunday or life imprisonment, and this keeps increasing every year.
Fear has got nothing on you when Christ is your Lord and shield (Psalm 28:7). It cannot rest on you when your trust is in the good shepherd (John 10:11-18). Jesus shed His blood and laid down his life in exchange for our lives. Evil will not overtake us because Christ already subdued it for us on earth and we can have peace in the world (John 16:33). He is like Job who will do anything to protect his children from falling (Job 1:1-5). He is like Moses who is so passionate for the deliverance of the Israelite. Christ will not allow any of these diseases or coronavirus to touch your body neither will he allow them to come near your dwelling place.
At the point of great persecution, Jesus was abandoned and betrayed by those closest to him. One of his closest disciples betrayed him. One of his best allies denied ever knowing him. The other ten disciples fled from the scene without any trace. And those followers? they were nowhere to be found!
Jesus the saviour, Emmanuel the healer, the comforter trapped in the human body yet free in his mind, burned in his flesh with pain and wounded in his heart by betrayal and abandonment! How could he have been so betrayed by those closest to him? Where did he do wrong?
I am in Christ Jesus and therefore I am a new creation. Old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If I sin, I have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1 ESV). 23. All of God’s promises are yes and amen for me because I am in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20).
I am qualified in Christ to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints (Colossians 1:12). 25. God my Father has delivered me from the power of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13).
Nobody hides away a precious gift? Instead, they tear away the wrapping paper to reveal the hidden gift and they show it off to the world. In like manner, you ought to uncover the gifts of God within you and show it off to the world. You ought to let the world encounter God’s great gift deposited within you. You ought not to allow God’s investment in your life go to waste. You must express the great gifts within you.
God does not want the death of sinners nor does he want anybody to go to hell or die in their sins. That is the reason why Jesus came to save the world from our sins. That is why God is patient and long-suffering. He is patiently waiting for the lost and He wants them in His kingdom. However, it can be difficult for Christians who have accepted this truth but their loved ones are yet to embrace the truth. My brother is a perfect example of this situation. He was brought up in a Christian home with Christian values but he has since turned his back on those things that gave him life as a child. He is currently lost and searching in life and I have been praying for his salvation for a while now. I love my brother despite his attitude towards the gospel and I will continue to pray for him, declare the scriptures over him until he has a change of heart. I know God loves my brother and He is waiting for him to call out for mercy so that he too can receive a pardon for his sins. But until my brother is ready and willing to take the next step into freedom, I will do my part by praying for him until he gives his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Staying in faith can be quite a struggle for new Christians. Sometimes we can be easily swayed with words that make us turn our backs on God. Other times we are faced with so much hardship that we run back to our old ways of living life and at other times, we are simply persecuted for turning our backs on religion and embracing a relationship with God. In all our struggle to staying faith in Christ however, backslide from our newly found faith in Christ. Begum Bilquis Sheikh was a new Christian who converted from Islam to Christianity and in her book, I dared to call him father, she narrated her story of family exclusions, community condemnations, death threats and several attempts to dissuade her from her newly found faith in Christ. Her journey to becoming a fully fledged Christian was not at all that smooth. Yet she persisted in her faith and she followed Christ with all her heart, her mind and with all her might. Had she not been convinced of her call to Christ, she would have crumbled under pressure and she would have lost her faith entirely.
