10 Daily Bible Declarations to Speak Over Yourself in August
Declarations of Faith: I am coming into a newness of life like never before. God is turning tides and situations around for my good. What was difficult for me before will become easy. This month I will reach new heights I have never climbed before. I will aim high and achieve my goals. I believe God for the impossible and he will cause everything to work together in my favour. I believe it and God settles it.
Truth Be Told
You may not believe it but the month of August signifies a newness of life. It’s the month you’ll see new life blooming, the season changing, old things dying and fresh air blowing on all humankind. It happens like a computer that refreshes at the click of a button and all life refreshes at the command of God. You can probably smell it in the air right now. This is a new season of God’s goodness and he is bringing restoration your way and also refreshing your soul.
You may have seen a lot of heartbreak and grief around the world thus far but your case is different as a child of God in this world. God has your back and he’s too faithful to let you remain in an unpleasant situation. The Lord is saying to you, “Forget what happened before. Do not think about the past. Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it? I will make a road in the desert. I will make rivers in the desert (Isaiah 43), it is time to move into your new. This is the time for restoration. Start to dream for new things, aim higher and trust God deeper. You will regain those things you have lost if you will only believe that God will fulfill His promises for your life.
The future may look bleak and darkness may cover the earth with the loss of loved ones, sicknesses and diseases, but there is hope for those who trust in God. Tomorrow will be better. There’s a newness coming to your life in August, and there’s a refreshing springing forth in your path. God will give to you a full restoration of time lost in previous months. You only need to key into daily prayers and daily declarations for your full recovery.
10 Biblical Declarations to Encourage and Strengthen the Persecuted Christians
Declaration of faith: I am fighting the good fight of faith with Christ and I will win this battle with him on my side (1 Timothy 6:12).
I remember getting teary-eyed at the hearing of the fate of the persecuted Christians in various countries. I thought of their courage and the boldness they show in the face of adversity. Their lives couldn’t have been far from being different from mine, yet they make a stand for Jesus, even if it leads to death or imprisonment. There are at least over 300 million Christians in this situation, and they go through gruesome persecution with little or no intervention from their neighbours. Their faith in Christ in countries such as Afghanistan, North Korea, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso and, in my birth country, Nigeria means facing being stripped and beaten, isolation and rejection from loved ones, death by a fire while the service is going on in church on a Sunday or life imprisonment, and this keeps increasing every year.
Fear has got nothing on you when Christ is your Lord and shield (Psalm 28:7). It cannot rest on you when your trust is in the good shepherd (John 10:11-18). Jesus shed His blood and laid down his life in exchange for our lives. Evil will not overtake us because Christ already subdued it for us on earth and we can have peace in the world (John 16:33). He is like Job who will do anything to protect his children from falling (Job 1:1-5). He is like Moses who is so passionate for the deliverance of the Israelite. Christ will not allow any of these diseases or coronavirus to touch your body neither will he allow them to come near your dwelling place.
At the point of great persecution, Jesus was abandoned and betrayed by those closest to him. One of his closest disciples betrayed him. One of his best allies denied ever knowing him. The other ten disciples fled from the scene without any trace. And those followers? they were nowhere to be found!
Jesus the saviour, Emmanuel the healer, the comforter trapped in the human body yet free in his mind, burned in his flesh with pain and wounded in his heart by betrayal and abandonment! How could he have been so betrayed by those closest to him? Where did he do wrong?
I am in Christ Jesus and therefore I am a new creation. Old things have passed away and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
If I sin, I have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1 ESV). 23. All of God’s promises are yes and amen for me because I am in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20).
I am qualified in Christ to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints (Colossians 1:12). 25. God my Father has delivered me from the power of darkness and transferred me into the kingdom of His beloved Son (Colossians 1:13).
It takes courage and a bold step of faith when you turn your back on old ways of living life, choose to confess your sins, repent from your sins, and accept Jesus Christ openly as your Lord and Saviour till eternity comes. Nobody can do these things of their own accord except for those whose eyes have been opened and given the revelation that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord, the redeemer of all sinners and the giver of life.
Staying in faith can be quite a struggle for new Christians. Sometimes we can be easily swayed with words that make us turn our backs on God. Other times we are faced with so much hardship that we run back to our old ways of living life and at other times, we are simply persecuted for turning our backs on religion and embracing a relationship with God. In all our struggle to staying faith in Christ however, backslide from our newly found faith in Christ. Begum Bilquis Sheikh was a new Christian who converted from Islam to Christianity and in her book, I dared to call him father, she narrated her story of family exclusions, community condemnations, death threats and several attempts to dissuade her from her newly found faith in Christ. Her journey to becoming a fully fledged Christian was not at all that smooth. Yet she persisted in her faith and she followed Christ with all her heart, her mind and with all her might. Had she not been convinced of her call to Christ, she would have crumbled under pressure and she would have lost her faith entirely. Continue reading “15 Bible Declarations for New Believers”→
