Recover From Identity Crisis

There are moments in life when the struggle gets real and a Christian finds himself or herself in an identity crisis. Those are moments when you are discontented with life. This is the time when you wish you had somebody else’s privileges, gifting or abilities otherwise things would have been different for you. These are moments when you may begin to compare your failures with somebody else’s achievements. Those are times when you may look in the mirror but you wish you were as beautiful as that other person or you wish you had the same lifestyle as that of the other human being. Those are times when life may seem unfair otherwise you would have the same beauty as that of Queen Esther, or you would have the courage as that of Joshua the son of Nun, the bravery of Naomi who lost everything abroad yet returned home to face her fate in the God of Israel, the faith of Daniel who stood in faith even in the face or adversity or the lifestyle of King Solomon who was the wealthiest man on earth. New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ

Congratulations you are born anew. The Christian journey is exciting but there are times when you may need to affirm your identity in Christ in order to win the battle ahead (Mathew 4:1-11). Though you have a new identity in the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus, the prince of darkness will not relent in trying to steal from you, kill treasures within and destroy wherever he gains access. You need to imprint on your heart that you no longer belong to the world but you belong to the Kingdom of God.  You no longer belong to darkness, you are now a child of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5). The race of life set before you (Hebrews 12:1) may sometimes get overwhelming and the enemy may come trying to steal treasures within (John 10:10), all you need is to reach out to the word of God and affirm your identity.   Continue reading “New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ”

Combat Low Self-Esteem

Negative experiences in life do cause Christians to suffer low self-esteem. Dealing with trauma, loss – loss of a child, loss of a job, loss of a family, negative thought patterns, previous bad choices, unrealistic goals, body image are a few of those negative experiences. This may be harder even on matured Christians. You may begin to wander and wonder; has God forgotten about me? You may even begin to ask God some questions, God why? Why did this happen to me? Why me and not somebody else? etc. Continue reading “Combat Low Self-Esteem”

Be Creative

God has given you the authority and the enablement to be creative just like himself. The moment you accepted Jesus Christ into your life, you become a child of God, the God of all creation. He did not only create beautiful and wonderful things enwrapped in high creativity, He created you and deposited his DNA in you. You
belong to a God who is extremely creative. Nobody can catch up with him. Nobody can surpass him in creation. He is enwrapped in creativity and he is ever evolving. Continue reading “Be Creative”

Declare Your New Identity In God

God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
Genesis 1:26 (MSG).

You are made in the image of God, to be like God, to reign like God reflecting his nature, to be responsible for every other living being on the earth, to speak goodness into existence, to bring creativity alive, to give life where death lies, to ring the truth where lies have become the second nature. You are made in the image of God to reflect his nature, to bring order into a chaotic world, to cast light upon a shadow and be the light in the darkness. You are created to make good and lovely things out of nothingness, to be creative and be imaginative, and you have been empowered to do all of these and more, by the same God who made you. Spread The Sweet Aroma of Christ in You.

To God, you are the sweet aroma of Christ. Through you, the world should have the experience of Christ so that the father may be glorified through the son.  You carry a sweet fragrance of Christ in your heart and you ought to spread it to the uttermost part of the earth, allow your aroma to spread forth to the world. Anybody who walks through a beautifully scented garden never remains the same, their sense of smell is heightened as they breathe in the fragrance, their entire being accepts the fragrance, their face lits up, their mood changes and they will most likely carry that scent to wherever they go. Your life should model this experience to the world. Continue reading “Spread The Sweet Aroma of Christ in You.”

Be The Salt of The Earth.

Did you know you are the salt of the earth? You have been cleansed through the blood of Jesus and preserved by God for a special assignment on earth. You have been given the power to transform lives and to be the solution provider the world is waiting upon. This is what Jesus said, ‘You are the salt of the earth’. Therefore there is no confusion or objection surrounding your identity in God and in this world. Continue reading “Be The Salt of The Earth.”

Declare Your Identity in Christ

Do you know who you are in Christ? Can you honestly accept the truth in God’s word about your true identity? God knows who you are and He calls you what He sees not what the world sees in you. Your life can never remain the same again when you agree with what God says in his word about you. Why not try changing your words from saying, “I don’t think I can make it”, to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Continue reading “Declare Your Identity in Christ”
