“Who do you say that I am?” Jesus asked; “You are the Christ (the Messiah), the son of the living God!” Peter replied. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. He is the son of man and son of God. He is the savior of the world and redeemer of mankind. He died for the sins of the world that we might be reconciled back to God. Jesus is the I am. The king of kings, the Lord of Lords filled with power. At the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus is Lord. Is Jesus Messiah to you? Would you confess Jesus as your Lord and savior today?
You may not have known or understood Jesus but you will get a better understanding by the time you finish reading and meditating on these I am’s of Jesus Christ. Jesus understood the power of I am. They are the truth from the father about the son. They are needed to be established in order that the existence and purpose of Jesus might be accomplished on earth. The I am’s of Jesus Christ teaches all believers that Jesus came to earth for a purpose and he fulfilled that purpose. You have also been created for a purpose to accomplish on earth and you must accomplish them. God has already spoken the truth about you, you must find out that truth and live in your destiny. Your true identity is in Christ, so get into position and live the abundant life Jesus came to give you.
“I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep. All who came before me* were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. (John 10:7-10)
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?” (John 11:25-26)
But Jesus was silent and made no reply. Then the high priest asked him, “Are you the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One?” Jesus said, “I Am.* And you will see the Son of Man seated in the place of power at God’s right hand* and coming on the clouds of heaven. (Mark 14:61–62)
