VIDEO: The Power of Asking – You Have not Because You Ask Not

Many times you get caught up with situations and circumstances that drowns you and you forget to lift up your head to ask God for help or to ask God for that desire.

Many times too you think you know it all and you can do it all by yourself without asking God for help until things don’t work out. We forget that He is the only self-existing one and we need Him to make it in this life.  We all are not going to be self-made, some of us need God’s help to make us into who He wants us to become.

It’s in the becoming of ourselves in Christ that we get fulfilled and enjoy the abundant life that He promised but are you asking God to make you into the authentic version of yourself? 

Are you too reliant on your own strength, talent, and gifts that you forget that you forget what you have was given by God? Can you ask HIM for everything and about everything in prayer? It’s about time we stopped sabotaging ourselves thinking we don’t need help from someone else or from God. 

Even Jesus Christ encouraged us to ask God for things and we will receive #matthew77 He knows we cannot do it all by ourselves. Even He asked His Father in heaven for help many times. So why do we forget to ask God for things? Yes, God has endowed us with power, strength and the ability ot make things happen but our strengths strength but abilities are limited and God can help us beyond our expectations.

Yet, many people are struggling in life because we are not asking for what we want in life? Why don’t you start asking and see what God will do?  I was so inspired by many stories one of them is the story of @iamsteveharveytv on how he came across the scripture in the book of #james4:2 “You have not because you ask not” and he kept asking God to make him rich.

One day he made a pact with God that if God made him rich, he’ll tell the whole world that it was God who did it. Guess what? God granted his request.
