Give thanks to God who always answers prayers. No matter how small, how big or how ridiculous those prayers you raised up to God may seem, God has released his answers to each one of them. He is a God who always answers prayers. Some of those answers may be in silence which means: “Wait! I am working things out”, or you may get a resounding “Yes! in which case you get an express response”, or it could be a blatant No! which means that what you have asked God for is either not a part of his plan for your life at that particular point in time or it might be detrimental to your life. Whichever one of those answers you may have received in recent years are answers and they are worth giving thanks to God for them.
I recently took a stock of my life and my heart is filled with thanksgiving to God for the answers he has given me at different seasons and times. He has done way beyond my imagination and so excellently well. I cast a quick glance at my prayer request list on New Year’s Eve and even though not all of the requests have physically manifested, I know he has released an answer for each one of them and He is working things out for my good. I also reflected on some of the prayer requests and I am grateful that had he said yes to any of them at that particular point in time, I would have a different story to tell. So I am thankful and grateful to God for answers in silence and in action.
You may encounter or might have encountered a time when you wondered why God has not answered your prayers. I would like to say to you that this is a lie from the devil that God has not answered you. God is in the business of answering prayers and this is well documented in his book, the Bible. If it seems delayed, know that God has already released an answer about this and you just need to tune your frequency to His frequency so that you can hear him clearly. The issue with human beings is that we are often impatient and we expect an express answer without considering the whole picture. Yet, God has the bigger picture in his hands and he knows the best things for our lives.
So for all the answered prayers you have received, give thanks to God. For all the Yes’es, the Nos and the Waits, give thanks to God for he knows best. Give thanks to the Lord for the things he has done, for what he is doing and for what he is yet to do. Give thanks for he hears when you call on him in prayers and he responds to your requests according to his plans and purposes on earth. Give thanks to the Lord for he is good and his mercies endures forever.
