What are Biblical Declarations?

We all know the power of spoken words and the transformation that God’s word can bring to people’s lives. What we probably don’t know is that speaking declarations over ourselves without engaging in biblical truths is an effort in futility. Without scriptural backing, these disclosures are mere words that cannot bring the desired change. They are simply acknowledgements of the fact. They are positive statements, but that’s just what they are, they do not have the power to fulfil promises or the ability to activate the truth in our lives.

Declarations and the Words

Although anybody can make declarations, nobody has the power to bring to pass those things. We can declare knowledge that is personal to us; we can also claim the truth of God that is personal to our situation, ultimately, it is God who brings to pass those declarations for us. However, since we are in a partnership with God to do according to His will and His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13), God will always honour his word to us.

Biblical Declarations, therefore, strengthens the root of a belief in the word of God. They build up our faith in God. They remind us of God’s promises to us and helps us to memorize scriptures. Whenever God’s children make declarations in line with God’s word, His counsel over our lives come to pass.

God and declarations

Therefore when making declarations; it is crucial tofollow the rules of declarations .As we believe in God first and foremost, We must understand that God watches over his word to bring it to pass in our lives. His Word is the absolute truth, and no other terms can prevail. We must believe in his son Jesus Christ because all promises are fulfilled through him. We must also be aware that any declaration without prayer is a bodily exercise that profits little. Therefore, every statement made in line with God’s thoughts, plans or purposes must be accompanied with a prayer.

Henceforth, let us live in the truth founded in God’s word. Let our faith be deeply rooted in Christ who is “the way, the truth, and the life because, without Christ, no one can enter into eternity (John 14:6). If we must walk in our purpose in this life and attain greater height, we must live life in Christ and in the word of God. Would you pray with me right now if you don’t already live your life through Christ?

Say a prayer with me:

Dear God, I thank you for the invitation to belong to your kingdom, and I thank you for your word that reveals the truth to me. I believe that you exist and you reward my search for you in this world. I receive your mercies and your love through your son Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and to save me from myself. I accept Christ as my Lord and saviour. Today I have become your child. I am born again. Amen.
