What are Biblical Declarations?

Hello Friends! So glad you’re here. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Have you noticed there is no end to healing declarations, financial declarations, identity declarations, declarations on all manner of topics when you scour through the search engines for declarations? It’s because the world has been informed of the power in the words that we speak and when we speak those words over ourselves we believe they make a difference in our lives. But are those declarations really changing the world? What are declarations and what’s the difference between them and biblical declarations?

Declarations are just acknowledgements of the fact and anybody can make declarations. For example, if I say I am a woman, it is because I acknowledge my sex as a female who has grown into a woman. Declarations are assertive statements but that’s just what they are, they don’t have the power to bring promises or desires to pass. I can declare that I am a millionaire today but I don’t have the power to make myself a millionaire. Even though I have all the skills and the ability to become a millionaire and I can work towards becoming one, I don’t presently have millions in cash, bank or in assets enough to make me a millionaire.

Biblical Declarations, however, strengthens the root of a belief in the word of God. It helps a belief in the word of God to be well-grounded in the truth that counters every lie of the enemy, the devil. Biblical declarations build up our faith, your relationship, and your confidence in God so much so that when God’s children make those declarations in line with God’s word, God’s counsel over the lives of his children come to pass. Although we can declare knowledge that is personal to us, we can also declare the truth of God that is personal to our situation since we are in a partnership with God to do according to His will and His good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).

God has the power to bring declarations to pass because he watches over his words. Therefore when making declarations, it is important to believe in God first and foremost, believe that his word is the absolute truth and no other words can prevail, believe in his son Jesus Christ because God honours every word and every request made through his son Jesus Christ, every declaration must be made in line with God’s thoughts, plans or purposes and declarations must be accompanied with a prayer. A declaration without prayer is a bodily exercise that profits little.
