Scriptural Declaration of Faith to Speak over Yourself Regularly
Declaration of Faith: I carry the peace of God in my heart and it transcends all understanding. It guards my heart and it keeps my mind at peace in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Therefore I am at peace at home and I am at peace with my neighbours. I am at peace whenever I go out and I am at peace when I come in. I am surrounded by peace in this world.
We can speak many things over ourselves but we do not have the power to bring those things into existence. God has such power and they are in His word. They are his legacy on earth. His integrity to the world, and they never return to Him empty. They always accomplish whatever God sends them to do (Isaiah 55:11). In the actual fact, God honours his word above his name (Psalm 138:2) and they will only bring our words into existence when we align ourselves with the power in the word given to us. Then we can make declarations that works and become whatever we speak over ourselves.
I am believing that God will turn around this period for your good. I have also been listening to Jonathan McReynolds prayer song and has been a real blessing to friends, I thought I’d share it with you too. It is so powerful and so right for this season and I’m praying it for you. Please, join me and let’s pray together.
10 Biblical Declarations to Encourage and Strengthen the Persecuted Christians
Declaration of faith: I am fighting the good fight of faith with Christ and I will win this battle with him on my side (1 Timothy 6:12).
Did you know that there are over 300 million persecuted Christians in the world today? Not many people know about this but there are Christians who are facing high or extreme levels of persecution for their faith. According to Open Doors UK, the top 5 World Watch list of countries for the persecuted Christians include Afghanistan, North Korea, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso and, please allow me to add to the list, my native country, Nigeria.
Pray the promises: I thank you, Father for the gift of prayer and I thank you that you always listen to prayers of the saints. May your will be done as we pray together and may we experience your love, peace, unity and harmony as we seek your face. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
If you are ever a fan of acronyms to help you remember some arduous information in secondary school years, you’ll understand that this prayer model by Jesus works in the same manner. It is not to be chanted verbatim but it serves as a guide to help us pray effectively. Let us pray….Continue reading “Let’s Say The Lord’s Prayer Together”
I stumbled across one of those OMG games we play on Facebook or on other social media platforms and I had a quick go at it. It’s one of those fun personality quizzes that tells us who you are based on your profile, who hates or likes you from among your friends, which country are you meant to live based on your name, which career path are you meant to follow based on your facial analysis and the list goes on. Those games are fun, harmless and their accuracy sometimes rouse your curiosity. However they couldn’t be far from the truth on who God says we are in Christ. Some of those answers may appear accurate but it’s simply because they had been analysed from our personal profile activities. Continue reading “OMG Game: Funny Quiz or Bible Quiz?”
We all have a favourite Psalm we pray with regularly. We do it because we know that when we pray the Psalms God answers. They’re his words and he’s bound by them. They’re his bonds and he does not go back on his words. Scripture says that “He watches over his words to fulfill it” (Jeremiah 1:12). When we bring his words back to him in prayer, he rises up to fulfill his promises. Continue reading “7 Powerful Psalms for Troubled Times”
Declaration of faith: I have not been given me the spirit of fear, but I have been endowed with the power to overcome every obstacle, perfect love that conquers every hindrance and a sound mind to make the right decisions.
There is always one or two things we’re afraid of in this world. There is the fear of past mistakes and its consequences in our lives or the fear of failure. We’re sometimes afraid of the unknown, afraid for the future and afraid of danger that looms around. If we’re not fearful of the danger in the day then we’re afraid of the harm in the night. There is always something we’re afraid of, but if we don’t face the fear head on and fight it with God’s word, fear of something or someone will control our lives and stand in the way of the fulfillment of God’s promises in our lives.
Haven’t you heard it that there are at least 365 fear nots in the Bible? One scripture verse for each day of the year will help you combat fear in any situation or circumstances. As for me and my household, we are facing this fear with God’s words and we are declaring faith-filled promises of God over our lives while also believing that we will win this battle for as long as we hold on to God’s word.
Friends, How are you fighting off the fear during this pandemic period? Coronavirus or not, we all have what we’re afraid of before now. It could have been the fear of failure, the fear of death, the fear of the future, the fear of a person or the fear of an object. Our fears vary and although the pandemic might have increased the degree of fear in us, the best way to deal with it is to not hide from it or accept its torment in our lives, but it is to come to God in prayers, lay it all out before Him as trust in Him and we fight this fear with his word.
As much as we want to be considerate of others and follow this government’s rules; stay at home, wash your hands, don’t touch your face, wear a mask, stay at least six meters apart, self isolate for seven or fourteen days depending on how you’re faring, its impact on us means that we are isolated more than ever and this can create a fear of loneliness on its own. Would you rather believe God’s instruction on this one and act upon it than follow the crowd and later reap the consequences? God has said in his word, ‘Do not be afraid. I am with you even till the end of time”. God can be trusted with our lives and most especially during this pandemic.
What’s the one thing you’re grateful for in this past few weeks?
We sometimes find ourselves in unsettling situations that causes us to cry, to grieve and to mourn for our misfortunes or disappointments. But at other times when we find ourselves in the middle of an ugly situation, instead of allowing our emotions get the best of us, let us find something good in that we are grateful to God for in this period. Let us find the silver lining in this cloud that will lift up our spirits and helps us be grateful to God. Continue reading “What Are You Grateful For In These Unsettling Times?”
What’s the most loving thing that someone has ever done for you?Tweet
When I look back on my life, I can think of multiple times when friends, family and strangers have shown me incredible love. Whether it was an early morning lift to the airport, a thoughtful gift in hard times, or just a much-needed kind word, I am so appreciative for the ways that I have been loved over the years.
But as treasured as these moments are, the most precious acts of love that I have experienced are the times when others have shared Jesus with me. Those beautiful moments when people have understood that the most loving thing I needed was to be pointed to Love Himself.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”1 John 4:7-21
Friends! Jesus forewarned us of the many trouble we would encounter in this world and he assured us of the victory we have in him but we also have a part to play in winning the battle;
We live in a troubled world where covid-19 has ravaged through nations causing a big pandemonium. Who knew there was anything like this that could bring China to a standstill and affect the global markets? The headlines are shocking and bad news spreads daily like a wildfire. And these things can be quite disheartening but we have Jesus Christ who we can thank for an assuring victory in him.
On this love sharing valentine’s Day, I’m reaching out to you all just to say that you are very special and you so are loved by God.
You are loved unconditionally.
You are loved affectionately.
You are loved without prejudice.
You are so loved beyond your imagination.
God takes one good look at you and he is so in love with you.
He calls you His own.
He calls you the apple of his eyes.
He is jealous over you.
He sings over you.
He says you belong to him.
You are a member of his family and you are valuable in his world.
It’s coming up to another valentine’s day, so let’s talk about the big L word. Love. When people describe God, they may speak of His love or even say that ‘God is Love’. But what does this really mean? And how can God’s love connect with us on…valentine’s day (especially if you’re single)?
For us to have the emotion of love we must build a relationship with something or someone. We all need to build relationships with others in one way or another. Relationships are built through a connection between two or more people. Sounds simple enough, but whether this be with family or friends, relationships can be hard. They take time, commitment, effort and prioritising. Continue reading “Let’s talk about… Love”
I enjoyed watching the movie Pinocchio as a child. In one scene, the father woke him up, helped him get ready and gave him the provision for the day. And just as Pinocchio was about to step out of the door, his father said out loud to him; “I love you Pinocchio”. What a great way to start the day! to receive words of affirmation.
Your heavenly father also affirms you on a daily basis. He pronounces a blessing of fruitfulness, productivity and abundance over you, his child, each passing day. As he wakes you up each morning and he helps you get ready for the day, he pronounces a blessing over you saying; “Be fruitful” (Genesis 1:28).
You already carry the seeds of fruitfulness in you only if you will believe it and allow it to grow into abundance. From the time of your creation your heavenly father put in you those seeds of fruitfulness so that you can live a life of abundance, you can increase and not decrease, you can grow in godly character that is needed to build fruitful relationships, both with God and with man.
God rejoices and sings over you each passing day (Zephaniah 3:17). He is your personal cheerleader as much as he is mine and he wants to see you thrive in life, not just to survive. He wants your day to be prosperous as much as he wants your soul to prosper (3 John 1:2). He wants you to succeed and not fail.
Whenever you are feeling down or your day is not going as productive as you would have liked it to be, I’d like for you to reach out for this declaration of fruitfulness and pronounce it over your life. Together let’s change your world with the word of God. Click on the declaration card below and let the words in it be on your lips every day. Don’t forget to download the 31 Days of prayer and declarations for the New Year. They are specially compiled for your use.
Would you let me know how your day went as you speak out loud your declaration of faith to change your world? There’s a feedback button below, please don’t hesitate to leave your feedback.
While you’re at it and feeling generous, why not share this post with your friends and loves ones too? All you need to do is to click on the share button below and they can be a part of this change too. Wishing you every blessing of the day!
Is it possible that you missed the call for 21 days of fasting and prayer in my vision 2020 post? In the post I shared the vision that God laid on my heart and the word he has given for the year 2020. I believe God has given us his promise for this year and we will need to align ourselves with vision for a vision without works is dead.
I believe that every vision needs a spirit-led direction and guidance with faith-full works to manifest! This is why I have decided to seek God first in the place of prayer and fasting and I will be joining my place of worship – Jesus House for all the nations in this spiritual exercise because for God’s promise to manifest in my life I also need to play my part in what God is doing.
I hope you will join us in this spiritual exercise or perhaps give it serious consideration? However, it is OK if you have already observed your period of seeking the Lord before now as some churches and Christians do but if you join us every day in prayers if not in fasting, this will be great too. For as long as we are backing up God’s promises with some spirit-led actions together with guidance and some direction.
We will be meeting every day in our place of worship in London (don’t worry if you can’t join us physically because you can participate online) and this will be for 21 days of pure focus on Christ the King.
I really hope you’ll find some time to be a part of it. If you’d like to be a part of it, please do not hesitate to send me a direct message and I will send you further details closer to the day and time.

HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!
This is it. The beginning of a new year ….and a new decade!
Are you ready for a brand new future?
My mum said to me the other day, “I don’t want to take this many pills anymore”. She is 75 years old and desires to live a medication free life in the new year. Although those vitamins help to support her aging bones and body in functioning, she still continues to speak aloud her desire to change her world.
In order to live transformed by the renewing of our minds, we need to first feed our hearts and minds with God’s prescribed medicine for our souls. He has dispensed many of those pills to us in His words and they make our lives worth living on earth.Continue reading “Are You Ready for 2020?”
Happy New Year friends!
I learnt a new thing about broken bones recently and it is that, to fix them, they will have to be aligned with a metal and a bandage for a while until they heal. Nothing else needs to be done. No gruesome hospital operation needs to be carried out, only an X-RAY of the broken bones to help the doctors know how best to align the bones with the metal and then they observe the healing over a period of time. I had an experience a while back that got me into thinking about the word for the year 2020. It was during the peak period at a train station when you might expect everything to be chaotic; there’s always a child crying, at least one person is trying to dash for the train, the train station is overcrowded with distressed commuters – you can just imagine the worst, but in the midst of that chaos was a perfect harmony.
Heavenly father I thank you for this beautiful Sunday morning.
Only you can wake us up from a deep sleep and still give us the strength for each day.
I thank you for giving me another chance at life, another chance to make things right and another chance for a fresh start.
Because of your mercy, forgiveness is made real and I am able to let go of yesterday’s mess for a fresh start today.
Because of your grace, the gift of life is entrusted into my hands so that I can live wisely.
Because of your love, I am spared new moments and a brand new beginning in life is given to me.
Thank you for the grace, hope, faith and love released on earth that help make today worth living.
This has been a year of answered prayers!
First my brother called my mum one day and apologized. It was a prayer answered! It was a major breakthrough in my family! We had prayed for his return to the family for many years and one day, my long lost brother came back to us. He sought for peace to reign and by God’s grace we were reconciled. Today my family is reunited. Thanks be to God for an answered prayer!
I also received the most wonderful news of all time. It was a desire come true as I read through the letter that confirmed an amendment to my identity. As you all know that identity is everything and once it’s compromised you lose your real self. Today I can boldly thank God for the restoration of my identity at home and abroad. This is a desire come true. This was an answered prayer! Continue reading “2019 – The Year of Answered Prayers”
The three wise men had the privilege of knowing first when Christ was born. It was planned for their destinies to be among the first to see the new born king, to pay him homage and to give him gifts. This life mission filled them with so much joy that they couldn’t keep silent about it. When they heard the news about the saviour of Israel had been born! They traveled many days to fulfil their vision in life. To them, there would be no more delay in their lives as their desires had just come to past.

Emmanuel. You are welcome here.
Christ the King. We applaud you here.
Son of God. We adore you this year.
We bow down to you and we proclaim you as the King.
Majesty. We praise your holiness.
Emmanuel. We declare your righteousness.
Holy one. We announce you with reverence.
Emmanuel! Our God with us!
Heavens applaud you and earth will praise you.
For the love you shared and for the blood that was shed.
You are the bright morning star, the risen king who was scarred.
You are the compassionate love of God who was barred, banned and battered.
But through it all you endured to set humanity free.
Emmanuel, Our God with us!
Many people often get stressed in the few weeks running up to the end of the year and it is important that you know this is not part of God’s plan for your life. God never planned for you to be a part of the UK Statistics of 74% of adults who have felt stressed, overwhelmed and unable to cope over the past year. His plan for you is to be in good health as your soul prospers. As a car could not be manufactured without a shock absorber your body could not be created without a resistance to stress in your DNA.
You are a child of the living God with the DNA of the most high. Your body is the temple of the Lord and nothing can destroy God’s temple. You have been hard-wired with resistance to stress. It is woven into your body system. You will always bounce back from stress but most importantly you can prevent it from getting through to you. When you surrendered yourself to God, you surrendered your body too hopefully. This means that you carry the DNA of the living God in your body and it does not accommodate destructive elements in the body. Your body is the temple fo God and nothing can destroy God’s temple. As a
If God did not create you without adding resistance to pressure points in your body system, you would not have been able to withstand all manner of stress attack targeted at you on a daily basis. Thankfully, you are alive today and you are still standing to the glory of God. Continue reading “10 Days of Resistance to Stress Biblical Declarations“
Biblical Declarations to Affirm Your Identity in Christ
Declaration of faith: I am who God says I am. I am the child of a great King. I am privileged to be one with God. God approves me for greatness and I will become great who He says I will be. I will no longer live a life of mediocrity but I will work hard, be diligent and stay focused on my God-given assignment on earth and I will soar high like the eagles.
Ever been through a period of mistaken identity in your life where people misjudge and make assumptions about you, but you know that’s not who you really are? This is precisely what happens when we fail to let the world know our real self. If Jesus could declare his identity at least fifteen times in the Bible from as little as at age twelve, then we ought to follow in his footsteps and start to proclaim the truth about ourselves to the world. We have the authority to change the narrative of our lives. We can accept the truth about our true identity in Christ, and start to live as one in alignment with God’s word about us.
“Trust in God with all your heart and He will direct your path“(Proverbs 3:5-6).
It can take a lot for us human to trust in the Lord we do not see than to trust a man who we do see regularly. It’s simply easier to trust in someone who you have a relationship with than someone you don’t know, hardly see or hardly talk to. Unfortunately, the man we do see regularly betrays us and lets us down while the Lord we do not see is faithful at all times (2 Timothy 2:13). He will never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) and he will never disappoint us (Psalm 145:13).
A child does not have to worry about his protection from harm or fear for his own safety because he instinctively trust his parents to do it for him. He may not have any power of his own but he will rest in the power of his parents who knows best for him. The same narrative applies to the children of God. We ought to know and believe that we have a Father in heaven who exists and he will go to any length to protect us from all harm (Hebrews 11:6).
Our relationship with God gives us the privileges of protection, safety, comfort and much more from the Lord but our doubts wills top us from receiving anything from God.
When we relate with God at any point in life we are assured of God’s protection but most importantly, God’s comfort even when we do get hurt, this is called maturing in the spirit.
What matters to this child was the presence of his parent(s) looking after him, is available for him and are ready to do anything to protect the child. This baby couldn’t care less on whatever happened him because, his parents were there for him.
This trust in man who we see regularly can be a big issue for anyone who have been betrayed or let down in one way or the other. But how about a trust in a God who we do not see? Some times we are like that baby on our Christian faith; we believe in God for simple little things and he does it for us but other times we find it difficult to trust him for bigger things. In fact we sometimes find it easier to trust in the world that we see than trusting in the God that we do not see.
A vision came to my mind as I attempted to write this post and it was that of a baby who has nothing to fear because his parents are there to watch over him.
Trust that He is working everything out in your favour and you will reap your reward. Trust his presence is in your life, He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in his ability, He is able to bring your dreams and desires to pass. Have you ever seen a child who does not trust his parents or a horserider who does not trust the horse he is riding? Hardly does this ever happen! Mutual trust usually exists between both parties. The child completely trusts his parents with unwavering faith and a horse does not allow a human to mount him unless he has gained the trust of the rider. Continue reading “Trust In God”
Do you remember the movie “In pursuit of happyness”? It was acted by Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. It was about a husband whose wife left him because she could no longer cope with the financial instability in their family. It was also about a father who did not allow himself to be limited by abject poverty or rejection but he tried all that he could to secure of his son and that of himself. At the end of that story the man became rich and he went on to help other people become rich too.
Life is often too busy with activities that we forget to be truly happy. We forget that happiness is part of life and it needs nurturing, it needs cultivating, it needs intentional pursuit of it. With happiness we can fully function in the world because it makes the world go round and a happy mind lives a contented happy life. When we intentionally pursue happiness we are choosing to pursue our inheritance in Christ and we have every right to claim it regularly using God’s Word.
Happiness can come alive for us if we make it a point of duty to speak it into existence first thing in the morning in our daily lives. It will cheer up the heart, lightens up the mood, and it makes doing our daily job easier than we can ever imagine. Happiness attracts the right people, it opens great doors you have never imagined and it will take you places you have not planned in your year.
Let us Speak it over ourselves for as often as we say wish one another a Happy New year. Declare it into your life until it affects positive changes in your world. Speak happiness over your life in alignment with God’s word for your New year goals and it will activate your desire for the best year ever. Continue reading “Speak Happiness Into Your Year With God’s Word”
God I thank you for the greatest gift of all time; Jesus Christ who saves all from all sins. If it were not for Christ, I would have died in my sins. I would have perished with this world. Thank you for Emmanuel who is with us all the time. His presence makes all things better; Sorrow disappears, sadness goes away. Depression cannot stay and there is peace in the midst of all chaos.
Thank you for the gift of life and for your breath in our lungs. Thank you for entrusting us with the precious life you have given us. Many times we take this life for granted but you are gracious and patience with us all. You continue to love and support us in spite of our negligence of life. Thank you God for the ability to function when all things are dysfunctional. Thank you for the broken heart mended, for the sickly body healed and for the downcast spirit lifted.Continue reading “Celebrate Christmas with Thanks to God for Christ!”

He gave me victory in battle and turned my life around for the best.

I give thanks to God in the highest for he controls the affairs of man on earth. He sees all things and he knows all things.
He created all things and he is above all beings.
I give thanks to God who changes times and seasons without asking for anybody’s permission.

I give thanks to God in the highest who sends his angels to fight my battles
When life is tough he gives grace to endure. Continue reading “Giving Thanks to God In The Highest”
Friends! Sometimes we ought focus on God, his son and the Holy Spirit rather than on ourselves. There ought to be a moment in time when we cast our burdens aside and all we do is lift up Jesus in thanks and in adoration. We must look up to heaven and sing a new song to God. We must serenade the Triune God with declarations of adoration. God loves to hear from us that we love him as much as he also loves you. Here’s serenading Jesus with words of adoration on this thanksgiving day. O come let us adore him!
Big brother Jesus!
I adore you Jesus, the lion of the Tribe of Judah.
I admire your love for others, my big brother.
I love the way you look out for me and watch over me
I love your strong arms of protection you wrap around me
I love your big shoulders upon which I lean on to cry
You have a heart of gold filled with compassion for the lost.
You have penetrating eyes that search out every intention of the heart.
Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding
Thank you for gentle rebuke when I am being naughty
Thank you for your never ending love that you shower over me
Thank you for always being present to wipe away my tears
Thank you for imparting knowledge of the father into me at all times
Thank you for being such a good though tough example to follow
Big brother Jesus, you are my hero.
I have had a few episodes of depression in my life and each time I have prevailed with God on my side. stronger mentally and spiritually with God on my side. One thing is certain when you fight depression with God, you come out from under that dark and heavy cloud of depression and you will find the peace from God that surpasses all understanding. You will have a new drive for life, a new drive for your faith and even a drive to help others. It is World mental health day and I am using this platform to encourage anybody out there who is suffering from depression.
When I was in the midst of some episodes of depression, Continue reading “Overcome Depression with God”
We all encounter difficult people every now and then but how do we deal with them as children of God? The Bible says that “You are the child of light and that makes you the light of the world. You must arise and shine because you carry the light of God on the inside of you. Therefore, whenever you engage with difficult people, be really patient. Do not repay them back by being equally difficult because if you do so, you reduce yourself to their level and you dim the light in you. Every time you repay evil with good, you allow the light of God in you to shine in the midst of darkness.
Jesus was and still is the light of the world (John 9:5). Just as he allowed his light to shine for the world to see, he wants you to follow in his footsteps. You must give room for your light to shine in the world. Don’t repay evil with evil but repay evil with good. If somebody shouts you down, do not shout them down no matter how shaken you may have been. If somebody humiliates you, be humble and apologise even if you are not in the wrong. If somebody causes you any harm, pray for them that they may encounter the light of God through you.
I heard a story of a Christian sister who was ambushed by a thief in the night. She was going home from church and she was suddenly waylaid by an armed robber. With a gun on her head, she was asked to give up her wallet. She in turn gently handed over her bag to the armed robber and begged him not to kill her. She explained to him that she was just coming from church and she would like to tell him that Jesus loves him. She spoke a bit further with the robber and somehow he listened. She invited him to her church the next Sunday and to her surprise, he turned up in church and he gave his life to Christ. This is a great example of a Christian repaying evil with good.
You are a child of God and all children of God are lights in the world. You carry the light of life on the inside of you because you believe in Jesus (John 8:12). You have been adopted by God through Jesus Christ into God’s wonderful family, therefore you must shine like the rest of God’s children. Being the light in the world is not meant only for a few of God’s children, every one of God’s children must shine for the world to see. It is what God desires. It is what God wants to see on earth. It is what makes him happy. That every one of his children is being lights for others in the darkness. That every one of his children is not hiding but they are choosing to stand out in darkness so that his name can be glorified.
It is what Jesus your big brother did. He came to the world to show the way. He shone his lights in darkness and made ways where there was none. Jesus your big brother would be so proud of you if you step into his shoes and choose to follow in his footsteps by being the light for others in darkness.
Jesus said you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). Anybody who believes in Jesus Christ and chooses to follow him gets adopted into the family of God who is the creator of lights and the father of light. There is no darkness in God. He is light and He is full of light. The moment you step into his family, he welcomes you into his arms and wraps you up with his light. You are thence no longer in darkness but in the light of God. You are the adopted child of God who now lives in the light. Because you believe in Jesus and you follow in his footsteps, you have become the child of light through Jesus Christ and you carry the light of life on the inside of you. You are in every sense a part and parcel of the family of light. So forget about the past, leave darkness behind and embrace your new life in the light. You can no longer harbour or hide in darkness. You must be engulfed in the light and shine from the inside out for the world to see.
God is your light, His word is a light unto your feet and a lamp unto your path (Psalm 119:105). So let us bring it all together; you are the light of the world because you have the light of God on the inside of you and you are surrounded by the light of God on a daily basis. Let your light so shine just as Christ commanded you. “Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1
Make a Declaration of Faith
I declare the light of God rises upon me, I will arise and shine and the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon me. I declare that my heart is flooded with the light of God so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to me whom he has called–his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I declare the light of God floods my heart and my eyes are opened to see good, pleasant and suitable solutions to my situations. This is my declaration
Daily Bible Meditation
Ephesians 1:18, Psalm 119:105, Isaiah 60:1, John 8:12, 2 Corinthians 4:4, 2 Corinthians 4:6, Genesis 1
You are the light of the world . Arise and shine . You are a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. You must arise and shine. You have been filled with the light of life (John 8:12). You must arise and shine. God has deposited his light in you, let it shine. Open your eyes and see the light of God all around you. See the light God has provided for you, see the light God has covered you with (2 Corinthians 4:4, 2 Corinthians 4:6, Genesis 1), arise and shine in that light. You are no longer in darkness, you have been called into God’s marvellous light (1 Peter 2:9). You are no longer of the world, you belong to the Lord and he is light. It is time to arise from your slumber, arise from the past, arise from what has kept you bound. Arise and shine for your light have come and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

How did you feel when you couldn’t see anything? uncomfortable? fearful? motionless? immobile? With your eyes closed still, can you imagine your world without the light? Can you imagine living in darkness? What would the world look like if we had to live in a complete and utter darkness? what would your life look like if you were blind and you cannot see what lies before you or what lies behind you? what would your life be like if you were not able to see what you are surrounded with nor are you able to move forward, backward or move around? can you imagine not been able to do anything? Can you imagine feeling incapacitated? feeling like you are capable of doing great things yet you are unable to do anything because you cannot see? Such is the intensity of captivity of darkness.
Darkness renders people useless. You want to do things but you cannot do anything. You want to see clearly but all you see are shadows of darkness. You want to move forward, to the right or to the left but you cannot even move an inch from where you are standing because of the thickness of darkness around you.
God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature Genesis 1:26 (MSG).
You are made in the image of God, to be like God, to reign like God reflecting his nature, to be responsible for every other living being on the earth, to speak goodness into existence, to bring creativity alive, to give life where death lies, to ring the truth where lies have become the second nature. You are made in the image of God to reflect his nature, to bring order into a chaotic world, to cast light upon a shadow and be the light in the darkness. You are created to make good and lovely things out of nothingness, to be creative and be imaginative, and you have been empowered to do all of these and more, by the same God who made you. To God, you are the sweet aroma of Christ. Through you, the world should have the experience of Christ so that the father may be glorified through the son. You carry a sweet fragrance of Christ in your heart and you ought to spread it to the uttermost part of the earth, allow your aroma to spread forth to the world. Anybody who walks through a beautifully scented garden never remains the same, their sense of smell is heightened as they breathe in the fragrance, their entire being accepts the fragrance, their face lits up, their mood changes and they will most likely carry that scent to wherever they go. Your life should model this experience to the world. Continue reading “I Carry The Sweet Aroma of Christ.”

Therefore there is no confusion or objection surrounding your identity in God and in this world. Continue reading “I Am The Salt of The Earth.”

As an infant, His star spread the good news of the arrival of the saviour on earth. His star guided the three wise men to his birthplace. His star is powerful. Continue reading “Be The Star In the World”
How can this be? How can you bring a baby into the world when the father has deserted you? How can you forgive those who hurt you when the memory grips you with pain every time you remember? How can you focus on new beginnings when you lack the strength to move forward from past experiences. Continue reading “Go and Do The Impossible.”
