Speak life

From Genesis to Revelation, The Lord spoke life to dead situations. He caused non-existing things to exist (Genesis 1). He brought alive dead human beings and he changed situations through the word (John 11:38-44).

In the book of Ezekiel chapter 37 verses 1 through to 14, The Lord commanded his servant Prophet Ezekiel to speak to dry bones and dry bones lived again.

We see the Lord overturned hard rock difficult situations and he simplified complex situations as revealed in the parting of the red sea (Exodus 14). We see the Lord brought water out of the rock where water did not exist (Numbers 20:8).

The Bible is filled with such texts and testimonies of time past encouraging us to see things the way the Lord sees things and to say things as the Lord has spoken over every situation in our lives.

The question is Will you speak life over your situation or will you continue to moan? Join me this week as we search the scripture together to #speaklife over our situations.

Speak life with me today!
I declare that I am enabled and empowered by the breath of the living God in me. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. Therefore, I speak life to dead situations in my life. Henceforth I arise with strength from the state of lukewarmness and I am ready to run the race that is set before me.

When Seeking True Friendship

There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24(NLT)

True friends don’t come easy. They are rare and are specially bred. They are made with tough skin to accomodate your mistakes and are loyal at heart to withstand storms in your life come what may. They stick with you as you grow in life and they stand by you as you go through life. True friends are sometimes closer to you like your family member. They urge you on, help you up, overlook your errors and they keep you going in life.

True friendship is that with which Jonathan displayed towards David. It was not a friendship established on a surface level. It was a deeper level kind of friendship based on companionship, honesty, transparency, patience, mutual respect and loyalty. Their friendship was not a friendship based on the number of activities they did together or the number of favours they rendered to each other. It was beyond what they could get from each other. It was based on a special bond of loyalty and mutual respect for each other.

True friends are there on this same Christian journey with you travelling with you seeking the Lord by your side, upholding your faith together, walking in purpose as you fulfil destiny together. To have a true friend, you ought to have been one to somebody else. To have a true friend, you ought to look within and ask yourself a question, have I been a true friend to someone else lately?

A friend of mine has such a true friend. They often joke together that they were meant to be twins from the womb but something happened and one of them missed the train causing their split up to different families. Thankfully they’ve found each other on earth and they are inseparable.

True friends are made for your upliftment and not your downfall. They are meant to help mend your heart and not break your heart. They are meant to wipe away tears from your eyes and not to cause you any grief. They are there to support, encourage and honor you not to discourage or dishonour you at anytime in your life.

True friends will hold your hands in sickness and in health, in poverty and when you have plenty. They are there correcting you in love and standing by you to see you grow as you become more like Christ. You are made to be a true friend to somebody and somebody is made to be your true friend. Can you honestly say that you have fulfilled that role recently?

True friendship is that which Ruth displayed to her Mother in law, Naomi. Ruth would not leave Naomi in her darkest time in spite of her personal troubles. She was a young widow who chose to comfort an older widow. She chose to weep with Naomi, to go on a long journey with her, endured with her, was patient with her and eventually rejoiced with her. Ruth did not abandon Naomi for the age gap or the societal class between them instead she was persistent, consistent, loyal, respectful, transparent and humble.

Such true friendship between Jonathan and David, Ruth and Naomi, Elijah and Elish may be hard to come by these days, there is one thing that is certain, The Lord’s original intent is for true and genuine relationship amongst his creation. Such friendship should be geared towards one purpose in mind, to glorify God in all we do, to commune with God in spirit and in truth and to love one another with the love of Christ.

The Lord’s intention is that we keep not only good relationships but also godly relationships. The Lord created human beings to influence each other positively not negatively, For us to grow together in Christ-likeness and not childlikeness. To build good memories with one another, to share pleasant experiences with each other and not for the horrible things we sometimes do to each other.

Should you be seeking for that true and godly friendships, make the following declarations and pray them into your life through the word of God and see what the Lord will do for you.

Make a Declaration of faith with me today for true friendship

I seek first the kingdom of God and its righteous, hence true and godly friends are added unto me. I seek to walk with the godly, the righteous and honourable friends are added unto me. We walk together in righteousness, in peace and we are joyful in the Holy Spirit (Matthew 6:33)

The Lord sets his love upon me and I am blessed, happy and fortunate with loyal friends. I am blessed, happy and fortunate with true and godly friends. I am blessed, happy and fortunate with God-fearing, Christ like friends. We delight ourselves in the law of the Lord day and night, and in return, the Lord prospers our ways (Psalm 1)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I acknowledge the Lord in all my ways and He lines up godly companions for me. He will fulfil His purpose for me and perfects all that concerns me. He orders my steps and he directs my path in the way of righteousness. He makes my ways prosperous and he favours me with true friends for as long as I am committed to doing his will.(Proverbs 3:6)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Today I disassociate myself from foolish talks. I stop walking in the ways of the foolish. I am no longer a companion to the company of fools. I stay away from the angry men, backbiters and the gossip for God does not delight in them. Instead, I stay with the wise and I am wise. I seek and search for true, godly friends and the Lord orders my steps. Henceforth I attract friends who have the fear of God, who loves the Lord and obeys him in all he commands me today so that I can also grow in the love of God and in the fearof the holy one(Proverbs 13:20).
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I love the Lord with all my heart, my mind and my soul. I love his children also as the Lord commanded me. I extend myself to the Lord’s children around me. Henceforth, I will deal with the Lord’s children with patience, in kindness and in gentleness for as long as the Lord gives me grace. I will show the love of Christ to the loveless and be a companion to the lonely (Mark 12:30-31)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I speak peace to my friends and they receive peace in their heart. I declare that they are truthful in their friendships/relationships, they are loyal and they find honour before the Lord. May we honour and reverence God together in our lives speaking peace to one another and reaping our rewards in righteousness (James 3:18)

I declare that I am a good friend, I am godly and I am loyal to my friends. And so are my friends also to me

Staying Focused!

Busy! Busy! Busy! Life is so busy! we live in the busy-ness of it and we forget to focus on His word. We have made Busyness the norm in our world and we have gone lukewarm in our faith. Can you sit still for a few minutes to focus on Jesus without getting distracted? How many times have you focused on the Lord in this past 24hours without losing your peace? Apart from going to church on Sunday, how many times have you sat still to focus on the Lord or to meditate in his word? Must you stay busy at all times?

If the Lord comes today, will he find you at peace in his word or will he find you in pace with the world? When the children of Israel lost their focus on God, serpents were found in their camp. They were bitten by snakes and many of them died until the Lord intervened. The Lord instructed Moses to make a rod replica to the snake and hang it up on the tree. Anybody who looked up to that replica was healed.

Jesus is like that healing rod on the tree. He went to the cross for your forgiveness, for your healing, for your freedom, for your deliverance and when you stay focused on him on a daily basis, you achieve much more than you can ever imagine. He is the healer. He is the Deliverer. He is the peace that calms all storms. He is the way maker. He is the timekeeper.

Imagine staying focused on Jesus in the midst of your to-do list! wouldn’t things be easier? wouldn’t you achieve much more than you can ever imagine? Instead of getting so easily distracted by things of this world, why not allow yourself a moment with the Lord of the harvest who gives generously and abundantly? He is the one who gives success, wealth and allows anyone to be productive.

When Simon Peter took his eyes off Jesus on the sea, he began to sink until the Lord Jesus intervened. Good situations or bad situations will drown you the moment you take your eyes off Jesus. It is Jesus who sustains and allows you to stay afloat when the storms or distractions of life arises. In situations when things are going well for you; your focus has to be on Jesus. Likewise when things seem to go awry. You have got to recognise distractions and stay focused on Jesus.

When trials and tribulations come into your life, stay focused on Jesus. In sickness and in health, stay focused on Jesus. In richness and in poverty, stay focused on Jesus. When in doubt or when full of faith, stay in Christ, never let your eyes off of him. When running late on things or when you are on time, don’t boast in your own strength and don’t be anxious or worry, you just stay focused on Jesus.

Make a Declaration to Help you Stay Focused in the week

Today I set my mind on things above that I may stay above all distractions, obstacles, principalities and powers of this world. I will stay focused on the Lord and he will enable me to accomplish all that I need to accomplish through his grace. (Colossians 3:2, Phillippians 4:13).
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Today I awake to seek the Lord in all my plans and he prospers me in all that I do. I will not worry. I will not be anxious but I will commit the word of the Lord to memory and I consciouly apply it to my life hence the Lord fulfils his purpose for me. I choose Christ as the centre of my focus in all that I do and anywhere I go therefore all good things are added unto me (Matthew 6:33).
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Today I set my mind on things of the spirit. I choose to live in accordance to heavenly standard and I direct my thoughts towards things that are true, honourable things, justice, purity, lovely things, commendable things, excellence and things that are worthy of praise. As a result, my mind is renewed and my life transforms to the glory of his name (Philippians 4:8).

I acknowledge the Lord in all I do and he makes my path straight (Proverbs 3:6 ESV)

My light has come! the glory of the Almighty overshadows me! Today I arise from my slumber, I will make the best use of time. I will act wisely in all I do and I will shine! (Ephesians 5:14-16 ESV)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Today I am crowned with steadfast love and mercy. My sins are forgiven me. I am healed of all sicknesses and diseases. My life is redeemed from the pit of hell. Praise be to the Lord! (Psalm 103:2-4 ESV)

Knowing God’s Plan

Knowing God’s plan for your life is one of the things that could liberate you forever. You worry less, you act more and you achieve more! Imagine waking up in the morning with a purposeful mindset knowing fully well that there is provision for everything you need to accomplish in the day. Imagine having everything you need to do in the day all set out before you. How to navigate through every twists and turns of the day also all laid out in the plan. How would that make you feel? Empowered? Fulfilled? Peaceful and Restful? That is exactly what God wants to achieve in your life when you seek his face for his plans for your life.

I read a story about a king who was so driven to build a magnificent building for the Lord. He was so consumed by the thought that the Lord decided to intervene. The king was not to construct the building for the Lord because he had shed so much blood but his son after him would build the magnificent house for the Lord. The king then knowing what was in the heart of the Lord concerning his desire decided to put things in place for his son who would eventually reign after him.

He prepared the land and he wrote out the plan as instructed by the Lord. He gathered gold and silver, timber and cedar wood, precious stones of all kinds and all the most expensive materials needed for the construction of the building. The king went ahead and employed all the skilled Artisans and skilful men for the job in preparation for the magnificent building. When his son eventually became king, building the Lord’s house was easier for him because his father the king had gone ahead of him to make all the necessary provision he needed to accomplish his purpose in life.

Imagine that you don’t need to struggle to make ends meet and provisions have been made for every single things on your task list. All you need to do is to just get yourself out of bed, take yourself from point A to B and connect all the dots in order to complete the task. Wouldn’t that make your life a lot easier? Wouldn’t you be so driven to accomplish all that is in your task list?

When we know the plan and we follow the plan, we do well in life. We no longer need to worry but we put our mind to rest in the master plan. Have you ever wondered what God’s plan is for your life? Wouldn’t you want to know what his plans are for you on a daily basis? How about knowing the ultimate plan before you were even born?

Make a Declaration to help you pray through for God’s plan for your life today

The Lord has a masterplan for my life and he will fulfill his plans for me. My future is taken care of, my present is taken care of and so is my past. I will obey his instructions and he directs my path. I will experience his goodness sending me help where it is needed and fulfilling all my needs. I am not abandoned. I am not forsaken. The Lord is working out his good purpose in my life. I will fulfil my destiny(Jeremiah 29:11).

I will stay above only and not beneath because only the Lord’s plan will be fulfilled in my life (Jeremiah 29:11)

God, The Master Planner

There is none like you Lord, the Master Planner.
From the beginning of time when the heaven was formed, the ocean was born and the earth was drawn.
You made a notion and lights were laid out in bountiful motion.
With great love you stripped out the ocean and you filled the earth with your great affection.
You made the sky, you made a covering over the heavens and the earth you spread out over the sea.
The expanse of each that none can fathom.

With a great plan you breathed life into the deadpan and With great intentions you formed humanity

You breathed upon all flesh and all things dead came to life
Humanity to live on earth, to multiply and be merry
To work the earth and its expanse till we filled our bellies

You who made the earth from the sea and the land from the ocean
You parted the sea and you hung the heavens
You beautify the forest with lilies and
You fill the oceans with all manner of creatures

With a great plan Humanity was made until the pain was such that your Son would come and pay for all our sins He laid on the tree called the cross of Calvary

You planned my beginning all through to the end of my life
You planned my standing up and my sitting down
You planned my happy hours and my sad moments
You planned my wake up call moments and my peaceful, restful moments

You planned what I would look like, talk like and act like
Right from my mother’s womb, you plotted my arrival time
You knitted me together from within her and
Her blood you passed through my veins to give me life, to give me breath

You chose that I may know your son at the right time and
That I may serve the only Holy one at the appointed time
You give grace and you give faith
You make me strong and then you make me steadfast
To walk in your ways so that I may belong to your race

To do your will on earth
To fulfil your purpose for my life
None of my tears are wasted in your room
All of my fears are consumed in the tomb
Every second, minutes, hour and days of my life are accounted for in your book
My life you have written out with your ink

What were you looking for on earth that you would choose me?
To whom do you need a representative that you would count me worthy?
How did you determine the worth of this lost soul that you would pay such a price?
Why would you consider this handmaiden that sins have overtaken
Where will you send me now that My true identity is no longer mistaken
You put together my destiny and you still call me your own
To you, my Lord, my God, the master planner I give all the adoration

The Lord God Who Answers Prayers

Lord God who answers prayers of the saints,
We ask in the name of your son and
You answer in the honour of your name.
We ask that your will be done and
You move in your ways till the midnight sun.
In your kingdom, it shall be done.

We ask your plans to fulfil and
Your answer is to be still,
We ask to accomplish your purpose
You pledge your allegiance to your people,
Your priorities are right and they are your children
In your timing, it shall all be done.

You give chances and you give choices,
You give grace and you give praises
You give honour to the disgraced and
You place the misplaced in your chosen space,
You answer when we call and
You shower your goodness upon all,
By your grace, it shall be done

Your ways are not our ways and your thoughts are not our thoughts,
Your Yes is your Yes and Your No is your No.
Not one of your words return to you void,
Not one of your promises do you not deploy,
All of them are your blessings for us to employ,
Through the night and through the days,
It shall all come to be done.

You do not leave any stone unturned,
You do not leave kingdoms upturned,
You give kings the wisdom to rule and
You establish their dynasties until eternity,
You give grace to the humble and
The proud at heart you cause to stumble,
In your perfect ways, it shall all be done

You give peace to the troubled, strength to the weary,
You sustain, you provide and you protect the needy,
You give hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless and homes to the homeless,
You give light in the dark, courage to the fearful and health to the sick,
Family to the lonely, friends to the isolated
The life you have restored, minds you have renewed,
In your power and your might, it is all done

You do not deceive us into believing
You do not precede your timing
You do not reject when we ask, Your answer is to wait and trust
You do not deny what we desire
No good thing do you withhold from your loved ones

You never keep us waiting and weary
You never keep us praying and hopeless
You never keep us believing and doubting
You always keep us trusting in your perfect timing
It shall be done

I will be careful what I ask of the Lord God
For I might just get it
I will be ready for what I ask of the Lord God
For a trial might come my way
I will be patient in my requests to the Lord God
For His ways are not my ways and his thoughts are not my thoughts
I will endure and be faithful in waiting
For the Lord God honours the faithfulness of His saints

Confession of Sin

We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). If God were to search through the earth for anybody who has not sinned, he would not find anybody who can stand (Ecclesiastes 7:20). That is why Jesus pointed out to the accusers of the woman caught in the act of adultery; “Let him who has no sin cast the first stone” (John 8:1-12).

Jesus does not condone sin but he shows mercy and he condemns hypocrisy of the judgemental others ad anybody who judges others will also be judged themselves. If you hide your sins from the Lord God you will not prosper. But if you confess and forsake your sins, you will receive mercy (Proverbs 28:13). God knows the intent of the heart and when we hide our sins before him, we are rattled with guilt and restlessness in our spirit. But when we confess our sins before God in genuine repentance, he gives us full confidence to come before his throne and he restores our spirit before him (Psalm 51:1-10).

Oh, what joy for those whose rebellion is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and miserable, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. Finally I confessed all my sins to you and stopped trying to hide them. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD .” And you forgave me! All my guilt is gone. Therefore, let all the godly confess their rebellion to you while there is time, that they may not drown in the floodwaters of judgment (Psalm 32:1-6).

Have you been riddled with guilt and worry over the sins you committed lately? the following declarations coined from the word of God will help you come to terms with your imperfections, bring you to a state of confession before the Lord. So speak the below declarations over yourself and pray them into your life. May the good Lord whom you seek to confess to grant you your heart desire.

The Forgiving God

Heavenly Father you are forgiving,
You do not forsake nor do you cast away in our weaknesses,
You do not condemn in our lowliest state,
Neither do shun nor disown us, not in our darkest moment at the least,
You do not turn us over to the enemy
Neither do you make us a prey for the devils.

You are not a man that you would hold grudges against anybody,
You are not a man that you would pay evil for evil,
You are not a man that you would not answer us when we call on you even in our sinful state,
You are not a man who would ignore the request of a loved one,

You are not easily angered
You are not easily frustrated
You are not easily irritated
You are not easily offended
You are not impatient with us

You are long-suffering, forbearing and uncomplaining
You give us long ropes to pull
You are patient and you are kind
You are full of mercy and you are compassionate

You see beyond our actions and you deal with us according to our motives
You look into our hearts and you reward us accordingly
You have mercy upon whom you will have mercy and
You judge the contentious

You see our inadequacies and you love us more
You see our weaknesses and you judge us less
You see our failures and you calm our fears
You see our state of mind and you cover us with your everlasting love
In all our miserable self you cast us not away

You choose to shine in us and through us
You turn our shame into fame
You turn our mess into a message
You turn our passion into flame
You break the stony heart and you give a heart of flesh
You turn over our weaknesses and they are made perfect in your strength
Heavenly Father great is your forgiveness towards us

Seeking Forgiveness from God

Those who come to God for the forgiveness of their sins must first believe that he is a God who forgives sin. He does not hold back from us because we have sinned against him rather he reaches out to his children with mercy and compassion in his heart.

God is not petty and he does not keep scores with anybody. He is love and he does not keep records of wrongdoings. He searches much deeper within the hearts of men and he measures our motives more than our actions. He is compassionate and attentive to those seeking the forgiveness of their sins genuinely.

He is full of mercy and he does not like the death of sinners. He is willing to forgive your sins and my sins for as long as we come to him with a genuine repentance in our heart. Think of God’s mercy like the internet you use on a daily basis.

Sometimes when you have been browsing the net, you may have too many windows open and your browser may freeze and this may cause a disruption to your work. In order for you to continue using the internet, you will need to shut down all the windows opened and you will need to refresh the window for a fresh start.

This is God’s mercy towards his children. He erases our sins on a daily basis, he wipes the slate clean and he gives us a fresh start the following morning. He gives each one of us blank cheques at the start of each day. His mercies are new to you and I every morning.

It doesnt matter what you did yesterday or the day before yesterday or the years before that, God showers new mercies upon his children on a daily basis. This means that your past sins are forgiven for as long as you confess them and repent from them.

It means that your daily errors are erased for as many times as you recognise them, repent from them and turn away from them. This means that you have a brand new slate on a daily basis. This means you have a new day to start afresh and begin again because of the mercies of God expressed to you on a daily basis.

If we were to be judged by God according to our sins, nobody will be able to stand God’s wrath yet instead of him being angry with us, he showers us with his love. Instead of keeping records of our wrongdoings he does the opposite, he dismisses our mistakes and gives us a second chance to try again.

This is your chance to grab that forgiveness and live life in abundance. So perhaps you have been struggling to accept the forgiveness of sins from God, the following declarations will help open your heart to receive this gift of God that is readily available to you.

Make a bold declaration for the forgiveness of sins with me today

Today I tap into the mercies of God for the forgiveness of my sins. I believe my sins are forgiven me and they are abandoned in the ocean of forgetfulness never to be remembered again. Henceforth, I have a clean slate before the Lord and I choose to live in freedom. I choose to start my day afresh in the mercies of Jehovah who gives me a brand new beginning every single day.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Surely God’s goodness and mercy follows me all the days of my life. I extend the same mercy which I received from the Lord unto others and my errors are erased. I will no longer hold on to the hurts from those who offended me but I release them into the hands of the Lord to deal with them in accordance to his mercies.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Henceforth, I choose to walk in compassion. I will put myself in other people’s shoes and I will not hold them at ransom for their errors nor for their mistakes towards me. I will be sympathethic, sensitive, sensible and understanding towards others. I will walk in forgiveness and show the love of Christ as the Lord gives me grace.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Today I choose the path of righteousness. I will b careful to observe the Lord’s commandment, to be vigilant and to stay away from sinning against God. I will keep the doors of my mouth shut so that I do not sin against God and I will walk in the fear of God all the rest of my life.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I receive the mercies of God readily available to me anew and I choose to extend the same mercy to others around me. I will no longer hold grudges or keep malice against those who offend me and I release them into God’s hands so that he might deal with each person according to his mercies.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Henceforth I will walk in compassion and show the same mercy I have received to others so that I can also be forgiven.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I receive the forgiveness of sins in my heart. I believe that my iniquities are pardoned, my transgressions are blotted out and my sins are casted into the depths of the sea because of God’s great mercy. I show mercy to others just as I have also received mercy. God no longer remember my sins because of his great compassion on me. I am forgiven (Isaiah 43:25, Micah 7:7 8-19).

God, The Generous Giver

God, you are great and you are kind
You are the great gift who keeps giving
You are the generous giver who never gives up
You are the gracious General who never gets weary
The kind who never relents in kindness and always cares
The precious provider who never pretends

You are never tired of giving and never weary in sowing
You never retire from pruning and never take a break from providing
You are never weary of weaning us and you never worry of winter or summer
You never withdraw your supply from us in any season
You are the all-rounder and always kinder than the kindest with your great gifts that reveal your riches

You are rich in kindness
You are great in generosity
Your gifts are unquantifiable
Your grace is matchless
You give gifts no man can fathom
You give grace nobody can comprehend
You give offers nobody can match
You give lifetime riches and honour
They are all part of your generosity

You are kind and you are generous
You are great and you are gracious
Everything I have you have given me
Every breath I breathe you have gifted me
I am alive because you supported me
Your generosity is what I live on

Friends I have you have given me
Food I eat you have provided
Faith I muster you have filled me with
Wisdom I share you shed on me
Grace abounds me because of you
I embrace your generous showers over me

May I not treat your gift with contempt
May I not treat your grace with too much comfort
May I not treat your wealth with weariness
May I not treat your riches with rags and rage
May your grace abound to me, my generous giver
God, You are the greatest giver

Heart of Forgiveness

Jesus said, “Let him who hath no sin cast the first stone”.

It is so easy to see the faults of others than we see our own faults. It is so easy to hold on to our hurts than to accept that we also hurt others. It is so easy to take matters into our own hands and judge others over their errors than we receive judgement from others. How often have we dished out punishments on those who have offended us without first thinking of our own offences. Has God called us to be the judge of the earth or to look inward and forgive those who spitefully use us?

How can we call on the Almighty God to defend us in greater things when we cannot let go of little things? How is the greatest defender of all time going to avenge us of our enemies if we fight our own battle and refuse to forgive those who offended us? When we act as if we have no sin, when we hold on to our hurts, when we stay away from our offenders and we shut the doors of our heart against those who have hurt us, there is no forgiveness in our hearts and this very act itself is called sin. But when we allow God’s intervention in that situation then we allow for healing from that painful memory and we open up the door for restoration.

The ultimate goal in life is not to keep records of wrongdoings nor to pay back those who offend us with evil nor to hold on to our hurts for a long period of time but the ultimate goal in life is to be Christ-like; to not make a mountain out of a molehill, to let go and let God, to have a forgiving spirit, live in perpetual forgiveness and to forgive our offenders even before they offend us. This is exactly what Jesus meant when he said to forgive seventy times seven in a day; to not hold grudges against anybody, to forgive before you are offended, to bear with others, to put yourself in the other people’s shoes and be really patient with them especially when they get things wrong.

We ought to have a mindset of Christ. We ought to believe that God has our back and he is the one who fights our battle. We ought to give humanity the benefit of a doubt and give excuses for others knowing that it is out of character for anybody to go out of their way just to hurt our feelings. We ought not to take ourselves too seriously such that we are offended by people’s behaviour. When we do these things, then our peace will flow like a river and our joy will be full till it overflows. We ought to understand that we are all on a journey and some people might understand the journey faster than others. Some people might even set sail earlier than others and it is to understand that because you are a fast learner or you are quick to do things does not mean you are better than those who are slow to understand and coming behind you.

It is to understand that when we wear the judgement cloak as though God has given us the task to preside over a court case and we hold others at ransom with unforgiveness in our hearts, we ourselves have several times been forgiven by a just God and he does not hold us at ransom for our iniquities. God does not visit our pasts and he does not hold it against us rather he forgets the pasts and he encourages us to move forward. When Jesus shared the parable of the unforgiven debtor, he also pointed out to us that the same debtor had just recently been forgiven yet he forgot the graciousness of his creditor and he went out to be cruel to others who owed him. He himself was then thrown into prison for life. When we refuse to let go and let God, let us remember that we ourselves are imperfect and not devoid of wrongdoings/imperfections.

When we refuse to forgive and we beat our offenders with lashes in our hands then we forget the God of heaven who himself forgave our iniquities such that while we were yet sinners he loved us. Let us remember the many times we have sinned against God yet God forgave us of our sins and he cleansed us. We ought to emulate God in these things to let go and allow God be the judge. If you are struggling with unforgiveness in your heart, the following set of biblical declarations will help set your mind in the right place, your focus on God and your heart for healing from all kinds of hurt so that you may embrace the spirit of forgiveness and live as Christ commanded us to do so.

Make a bold declaration of faith with me today.

I am kind and tenderhearted. I forgive those who offended me just as Christ also forgave me of my sins (Ephesians 4:32)

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Today I release God’s comfort and peace into the heart of those who have offended and hurt me. May they not be overwhelmed by sorrow in their heart and may they swim in God’s unwavering love for humanity (2 Corinthians 2: 5-8)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I declare that as I am forgiven by heavenly father so also I forgive those who have hurt me for as far as the East is from the West in accordance to the grace given me, I now forgive. I do not judge as the world judge and neither do I condemn as the world condemns but I release those who have hurt and abused me into God’s ever loving arms. May they find peace and joy in their hearts forever more (Luke 6:37).

Accepting God’s Love

Believe it or not, God loves you no matter what you may think! He loves you no matter what anybody may have said to you or done to you. God loves you no matter what trauma you may have gone through. No matter what your actions may be against love. God loves you! He loves you unconditionally in spite of your condition.  He loves you objectively in spite of your objections. He loves you irrespective of your lack of respect for him. He loves you in spite of that situation or circumstances. He has not forgotten about you and he will never forsake you.

You may struggle to accept his love as a result of your experiences yet he will not reject you. This father’s love is unconditional and irreplaceable. Your heavenly father loves and cares for you deeply no matter what. His love is incomparable to any other human love on earth. God’s love gives you confidence and it boosts your ego. It helps you come into your own person and accelerates your growth in life. It doesn’t matter if you have never had a taste of that fatherly love’s experience, it doesn’t matter if the absence of a father has left a vacuum in your life. God’s love can and will fill you up to the overflowing.

Father’s day for you may have been more of a remembrance day like it was for me until a few years ago than it was a day to celebrate my earthly father. His loss and his absence may have lost a vacuum in my heart for many years, thankfully God stepped in and filled the hole in my heart wuth his love. Today I celebrate the many father figures that have come my way. I celebrate on Father’s day many father figures in my life who have been there for me and who have stepped in at any time I needed the father’s guide and love.

Father’s day for you may have been a day you were reminded of the abuse you suffered instead of the protection you needed. It may have been a day you remembered the rejection or the disapproval you suffered from your father instead of an acceptancehe  and approval you longed for. For you, father’s day may have been a reminder of your disappointments with your biological father. He may have disappeared when you needed him the most. He may have abused you, used you and dumped you. He may have cursed you instead of releasing a blessing over you. He may have disappeared into thin air when he was supposed to stand by you and stay with you. And this may make father’s day a difficult day for you.

The good news is, God’s love never disappoints. His love is like a rock, never moving, never shaken, always present. Always on stand by to comfort you and shower you with his love. His love is the ultimate. Where you have not known your biological father or you do not know him enough to experience his love, God knows you and his love for you never fails. He will do so much more for you than an earthly father could ever do for you. Nothing can stop God from loving you. He loves you beyond measure and nothing can separate you from his love.

The Bible says; “Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?” (Romans 8:35S).

Where you may have lost your father to death or any other unforeseen circumstances, God is readily available to be the father you lost. He is the father of the fatherless and the husband of the widow. He comes riding with comfort in his wings and bearing provisions in his back. He is ever loving and ever faithful. He will never disappear on you and you can never lose him. Though an earthly father is a representative of a heavenly father on earth, But in a case where you have not seen God’s love through your biological father and you struggle to accept God’s love due to your experiences, God’s love can permeate through your heart on this Father’s Day if you will give him a chance. You too can enjoy God’s unending love when you choose to accept his love. And where you may be struggling to see or accept God’s love, the following Bible Declarations of faith would help open up your heart to receiving God’s love.

Make a Declaration of Faith

Today I accept the unconditional, unending love of God into my heart. I may have gone through situations amd circumstances that have shaken my faith in the live of God, today I accept my fate in God and I declare that I am loved by God unconditionally. God loves me no matter what! Though, once a sinner and I went astray, now I am back and I am wrapped up in the love of God through Christ who died for my sins so that I can experience God’s great love. (Romans 5:8)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

My God is rich and merciful and he loves me greatly. Through God’s love I come alive together with Christ who saved me by his grace (Ephesians 2:4-5)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I declare that I am enveloped with God’s love through his son Jesus Christ. Today I accept the love of God with all of my heart and I exchange the missing piece of my heart for the wholeness in God so that I might live through his son Christ Jesus whom he sent to be the propitiation for my sins (1 John 4:9-11)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I declare that God is mighty to save and he saves me from loss and rejection. I declare that God rejoices over me with gladness and quietens me with his love. He is exulted over me with loud singing (Zephaniah 3:17)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am a product of God’s love filled with God’s love for the world. I am a child of God born with love, to show forth his love for the world (1 John 3:1)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I believe that God loves me so much he gave up his only son just for me in whom I believe that I shall not perish with this world but I have now inherited an everlasting life. (John 3:16)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am the apple of God’s eyes and he jealously guards me (Deuteronomy 32:10).

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

God is my father. He is my creator, my potter. I am the clay in his hands, the work of his hands carefully moulded for his purpose. He has great pride in me. I am his finished product ( Isaiah 64:8)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

My father knows what I need before I ask him (Matthew 6:8). He sees what is done in the secret and he rewards me for my labour of love (Matthew 6:4)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am loved. I am valuable in God’s eyes. Much more valuable than the birds of the air who do not sow or reap or store in barns yet my father feeds them (Matthew 6:26)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I ask my father for good gifts and he gives them to me (Matthew 7:11)

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Praise be to the God and father of my Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed me in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. I am chosen, predestined in love and adopted to be a child of God. I am loved (Ephesians 1:3-5)

Overcoming Deception

People no longer speak the truth. They hide it under their tongues and utter deceits. They pretend and there’s no truth found in them. I have had my share of being deceived and it really hurts. When deception sneaked up on me I was unguarded. It came from where I least expected it and from one of my closest friends. It came in my most vulnerable moment and ensared me with subtle solution to my problems. Little did I know that its subtle counsel was going to be my ruin.

It happened when Jesus was hungry too. He had been fasting for forty days and forty nights and he was hungry when the devil sneaked up on him suggesting the only seemingly solution at the time; “turn these stones to bread” he urged Jesus. But Jesus recognised the devil’s trick to deceive and he was able to overcome the lust of the flesh. Had he succumbed to the devil’s tactics he would have fallen for that solution and that would have ended his ministry (Matthew 4:3).

Be wary of deception, it always comes promising enlightenment. It happened to Eve.  She was minding her own business when the serpent crawled up to her and struck a sensible conversation with her in the garden of Eden; “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.” (Genesis 3:5). Deception plays on your vulnerability and feeds on your fears too. Think about what it did to Ananias and Saphira. It was their land they sold and their money to keep but the devil played a trick on their minds and they tried to deceive the man of God. The end thereof was death (Acts 5:1-11).

Deception always captures the mind of its victims. It is the way the world function. Be on alert. Guard the walls of your heart against deception; either to deceive others or from being deceived by others. It is not God’s ways. His ways are perfect, straightforward and transparent. When a man conceal a relationship, that woman might have fallen prey to the spirit of deception. When your stomach is full after eating a platefull of food yet you can’t resist another plate, you might have fallen prey to deception. When you have important things to do but you find yourself glued to the TV, you are being deceived.

Deception always plays a trick on people. When it seems like you have been captured by the spirit of deception, when you are feeling deceived or when the devil is playing a trick on your mind in trying to convince you to lie with intent to deceive somebody else, make a dash for the sword of the spirit and speak out loud the following declarations for your victory.

Make a bold declaration of faith with me today

1) I demolish arguments and pretension that sets itself against the knowledge of God, and I take captive every thought and I make them obedient to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV)

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

2) I declare that the spirit of him who raised Christ from dead is alive and he lives in me giving me the discerning of spirit and revealing the truth to me in all situation.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

3) Henceforth I walk in the integrity of heart, my path is secured and I attract integrity in return.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

4) I am no longer conformed to the ways of this world, but my mind is renewed daily through the word of God for the discernment of God’s will and a total transformation of my life according to his purpose for me.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

5) God will arise on my behalf and save me from the spirit of deception. When deceitful spirit come against me in one way, God will raise up a standard against it so that I do not fall prey to its captivity.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

6) I declare that I am enabled as a child of God to act justly and to stay on the path of righteousness. I speak the truth and I stand by the truth. I stay far away from deception, corruption and lying tongues. Hence God delights in me and he rewards my obedience to his word.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

7) I no longer sow into the flesh where lies, deceit or corruption leads to destruction, but henceforth I sow consciously into the spirit speaking the truth at all times and it sets me free.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

8) I speak the truth in love and I grow in all aspects of Christ who is the head over me.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

9) I walk by the spirit and the desires of the flesh I will not fulfill. I am no longer under the law but under grace therefore I submit to the spirit of God, He leads and guides me in all I do. I walk by the spirit and he leads me into all truth.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

10) I am a child of God and I do the will of God. I worship God in spirit and in truth. I do unto others as I want them to do to me. I stay away from malice, bitterness, anger, slander, strife, envy, jealousy as God gives me grace and strength and I no longer fulfill the desires of the flesh.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

11) I declare that I am not afraid to speak the truth at any time but the Lord God empowers me to speak the truth to nations in boldness and as I speak the truth in love to others so is truth multiplied to me in manifold. Deception is exposed and the truth prevails in my life at all times. I will not deal with others in lying tongues or in deceit but henceforth I live and rejoice in the truth and it sets me free. No matter how bitter the truth is I embrace it into my bossom, it edifies me and keeps me aligned to God’s will for my life. Whenever I speak the truth, it builds me up and honors me. It does not destroy me, not does it ruin my reputation, my image or my name. It does not put me down but instead it makes me a better person and elevates me to a position of honor. Henceforth, I walk in the understanding of heart with the truth on my tongue and peace dwells in my gate.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

12) Henceforth my mouth will utter the truth and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. I speak the truth to my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and acquaintances and my lips speak knowledge sincerely.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

SCRIPTURES

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; ( 2 Corinthians 10:5).

Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out (Proverbs 10:9 ESV)

The LORD will grant the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven (Deuteronomy 28:7 NIV)

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life (Galatians 6:7-8 ESV).

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight (Proverbs 12:22 ESV).

but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ (Ephesians 4:15)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect (Romans 12:2).

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves (James 1:22 ESV).

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, … (Galatians 5:16-26 ESV)

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44 ESV).

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them (Proverbs 11:3 ESV).

And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them (Luke 6:31 ESV).

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV).

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices (Colossians 3:9 ESV)

‘These are the things which you should do: speak the truth to one another; judge with truth and judgment for peace in your gates (Ephesians 4:25).

Therefore, laying aside falsehood, SPEAK TRUTH EACH ONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are members of one another (Proverbs 12:17)

“For my mouth will utter truth; And wickedness is an abomination to my lips (2 Corinthians 2:17)

“My words are from the uprightness of my heart, And my lips speak knowledge sincerely.

Thankful for Painful Experiences

If not for that heart break you may not have met the right person today. If not for that failure you may not have known what it means to have success. If not for that defeat you may not have known what it means to win a battle. If not for that struggle you may not have known what it means to have it easy. If not for that break up you may not have known what it means to be standing on your own two feet today. If not for that traumatic experience you may not have known what it means to put yourself in other people’s shoes. If not for that character you may not have known what it means to guard your heart. If not for that rejection you may not have known what it feels like to be accepted. If not for hunger you may not have known what it means to be full.

Every single one of your painful experiences are for good reasons; they occur in order to bring you to a state of awareness, to a state of maturity, to a state of humility, to a state of endurance and total surrender to God. None of them were meant to bring you down but every single one of them were intended to shape you and bring you up for God’s glory. None of them were meant for evil or to set you back but they were permitted by God in order to give you a platform for elevation. That painful experience is not meant for you to be a target but you were specifically chosen by God for that great big task. God allowed you to go through it in order to build up strength in you. God allowed you to go through it for you to fulfil purpose in life.

This too shall pass. Instead of you drowning in sorrow and despair as a result of this painful experience turn it into praise. The Bible says that you are blessed and happy when you go through trials for the sake of the gospel or for Christ’s sake for then your name is written in the book of life. That or those painful experience(s) is/are your stepping stones for your elevation network. Be thankful to God for choosing you for such a task. I know a lady who got an award simply for standing strong and still keeping faith having gone through emotional trauma on the loss of her husband and her sister within two weeks apart. Not saying that’s what its suppose to be but trying to encourage you that as unique as your experience is to you that is as precious and unique as you are to God. For God to have chosen you for such a great big task, that means he jas something bigger and better in your future. So thank God for that painful experience.

Adoption into God’s Kingdom

When Meghan Markle married Prince Harry of the United Kingdom on May 19th 2018, she became a bonafide member of the British royal family. As a virtue of her adoption into the British kingdom through marriage, she seized to be a commoner and she began a new life entirely. She has a new name, a new title the Duchess of Sussex and a new set of rules to help guide her and settle her into her new identity in the British empire.

This process is the same for anybody who genuinely surrenders their life to God through a set of confession of sin, believing in Jesus Christ and proclaiming him as their Lord and personal saviour. They are drafted from darkness into the kingdom of light, they seize from being a sinner, they become a child of God among the saints through adoption and they become a bonafide member of the Kingdom of God.

When this adoption takes place, they have a new name as a child of God and they become part of a bigger family in the body of Christ. No longer will they behave or think in the same way as of old but they adopt new ways of thinking and doing things as Christians. And just as a father secures the future of his children so does God align things in place to secure your future in his kingdom. You will find yourself endowed with spiritual blessings that enable you to settle in your new identity in Christ.

You may not know this but some of the things that takes place as soon as your adoption into God’s family is completed is that your sins are forgiven. You will have a new name. You are given a new image. You are given a new mind that enables you to think differently and see things from a different perspective. You are given a new heart in preparation for the fight in the world. God also writes your name in the book of life. You inherit an eternal life through Christ. You get to share in the inheritance of God’s firstborn son – Jesus Christ. You become an heir apparent with Christ Jesus.

Knowing these things sometimes help solidifies one’s stand in the kingdom and it strengthens one’s faith in God. Whenever anything comes to threaten your identity in the kingdom or it want to shift your focus away from God or from your new future, feel free to reach out to the following sets of scriptural declarations and speak them over yourself until you feel strengthened, enabled and prepared for a lifetime in the kingdom for eternity.

Make a bold declaration of faith with me today
1)

I have a new life through Christ Jesus. I am no longer of this world but of the heavenly kingdom. I therefore no longer think or act like those of this world. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus. Old things have passed away and all things have become new. (John 8:23, 2 Corinthians 5:17)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I have been crucified with Christ. I no longer live but Christ lives in me and henceforth I will strive to please the Lord who adopted me into his family for a brand new life. (Galatians 2:20)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

2)

Since my adoption into the kingdom of God, I have become the apple of God’s eyes. God sees to it that I am well loved and well cared for. Now I have an inheritance in heaven through Jesus Christ, an inheritance of eternal life. (Zechariah 2:8, 1 Peter 1:4)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

3)

I was carefully handpicked, specially chosen by Christ to be drafted into the kingdom of light and steadily grafted into becoming like Christ. I am a child of God adopted into the family of God to become holy and blameless before God and to serve him for the rest of my life. I am no longer forsaken and no longer condemned to hell but I am found and accepted into the saintly duties. (1 Peter 2:9, Romans 15:27)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

4)

God predestined me to be his child and he did not rest until I became fully his own. Now I am a child of God living in the light of God, walking in his ways and in obedience to his will, fulfilling his purposes for my life in accordance to his good pleasure for me. Now people who sees me will see the difference in me and they will call me a child of the most high God. (Ephesians 1:5,Romans 8:29,Romans 8:30, 2 Corinthians 6:18)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

5)

I have been redeemed from the curse of the law and adopted into God’s kingdom through Christ. I am no longer a slave but I am a child of God and an apparent heir to the kingdom of God through Christ whom I can cry Abba! Father!. (Romans 8:15-17, Galatians 3:26)
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

6)

God calls me by a new name – His delight is in me. Hence when I turn to God in humility and I call upon his name, I am confidently assured that God hears me from heaven, forgives my sins and he heals me.

SCRIPTURES
1) …and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14).
2) I appeal to you, therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
3) even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him (Ephesians 1:4).
4) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
5) I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
6) And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Corinthians 6:18)
7) But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God. Formerly, when you did not know God, you were enslaved to those that by nature are not gods (Romans 8:14-17).
8) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
9) The nations will see your righteousness, And all kings your glory; And you will be called by a new name Which the mouth of the LORD will designate (Isaiah 62:2).
10) See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him (1 John 3:1-2).
11) For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God (Romans 8:14).
12) For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:26).
13) and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him (Romans 8:17).
14) so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life (Titus 3:7).
15) So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, (Ephesians 2:19).

Declarations of Faith for New Christians

Doubt may set in. Confusion may find its way to you. Friends may mock you. The family may dissuade you. Colleagues at work or an acquaintance may taunt you. It’s all the ploy of the enemy to shift your focus away from the true God. It’s all a plan of the devil to make you afraid of the glorious future ahead of you. The devil does not let go easily. When he sees that you have made the beeline to turn your life around for the best and you have accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour, he will try all in his capacity to deceive, tempt and lure you out of God’s marvellous light.

The devil’s tactic is to steal, to kill and to destroy and he will try all sort to stop you from believing in God but do not give in. Stand firm in your faith. When you find yourself tempted, facing trials and tribulations, do not falter. When your sheer willpower can no longer support your belief in God, then make a beeline for the word of God and speak the following biblical declarations to strengthen your faith in God.

Make a Bold Declaration of Faith with Me Today
1)
I have not been giving the spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind. I am not afraid of what man can do to me as I set my face on God like a flint, I will not be moved.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

2)
My mind is alert, my heart is receptive. I am obedient to the word of God and it sets me free.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

3)
I declare that my kingdom is not of this world but it is set in the heavenly places filled with power and authority. It is set above principalities and powers of darkness enabling me to no longer conform to the patterns of this world. Henceforth, I set my eyes on things above in the heavenly Kingdom, I will obey its rules and regulations and I will reap the reward thereof.

I am a child of God graced with an inheritance of eternal life through my saviour Jesus Christ. I fight the good fight of faith with Christ on my side and I have victory until I sit next to him in eternity.

My new life is hidden in Christ and I have a new stake in the heavenly kingdom as joint heirs with Jesus and I have a new name which is written in the book of life, I am assured that nothing can take me away from God’s grip. My life is hidden in Christ. I will no longer turn my back to this new life given to me through grace but I will remain loyal, faithful and steadfast in my new found faith till God calls me home to be with him. So help me God.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

4)
I declare that I have the mind of Christ. I am no longer subjected to the flesh but I walk in the spirit and I reap the reward thereof.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

5)

God makes everything to work together for my good from now on, He is the one who has called me according to his purpose and it is to him I am answerable.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

SCRIPTURES
1) For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV)
2) And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose ( Romans 8:28 NIV)
3) But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you (Romans 6:17 KJV)
4) I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life (1 John 5:13 NIV)
5) For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him?” But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ ( 1 Corinthians 2:16 NLT)
6) Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires (Romans 8:5)

Overcoming Rejection

How do you deal with rejection when you know it hurts and facing its stings alone is even worse? It is emotionally draining and it affects one’s state of mind negatively. It creates fear. It paralyses self-confidence. And it introduces self-doubt. It makes you question your belief and leaves you with sheer terror. Sometimes it attacks with subtlety and at other times, it attacks head-on, with such cold stare that opens deep wounds. It creates such pain in the heart and feelings of shame, failure and deception. These negative emotions created by rejection are not something a Christian can merely shake off or face alone easily. Only God’s healing can truly set free from such snare.

Most of us have been its victim at least once in our lifetime. Right from an early age when that child refused to share his or her toys with us, or that time when that classmate and her friends ganged up to isolate us from their team, to that time when that person refused to acknowledge our presence leaving us with such shame, to that acquaintance who decided to ditch our conversation in exchange for some frivolous activity, and that employer who failed to see our talent or ability and decided to not hire us, to that group of friends who would not allow us in their inner circle, to that man who could not see beyond the physical. The list is endless when it comes to feeling rejected.

Even Jesus Christ the king of Jews was rejected. He also went through this gruesome experience during his lowest moment on earth. One day he was hailed as King of the Jews with praises and shouts of Hosanna, the next day he was rejected and swapped for Jesus the Barabbas, a criminal in the prison. But instead of Jesus to have withdrawn himself from the people, he prayed for them even on the cross of Calvary.

I met a woman who was once refused a hug from somebody else. She said It was as if a dagger went through her. She had extended a gesture of love but she was blatantly refused. It affected her confidence badly and she withdrew herself from the other person but that incidence also challenged her Christian faith. Her Christian responsibility was not to withdraw herself from another human being but to show God’s love even in the face of rejection.

My Christian friend decided to let go of her ego and she approached her offender with more love gesture. It was not easy at first but she understood what the issue was and she was willing to lay down herself for God to shine through her.

The more you try to deal with rejection in your own strength, the more difficult you may find that feeling to overcome. But, when you accept God’s love in your heart and you resolve to speak the word of God over that situation, when you decide to turn to the word of God and you speak it over your life to overcome that feeling of rejection and its stings, then you will receive your healing, inner peace and emotional stability that you need to live life in abundance.

Asking questions or blaming yourself will not bring the desired solution but turning to God’s word for a complete restoration will help you develop a thick skin, overlook certain human behaviour, see beyond the person who rejected you and deal with the spirit behind that behaviour. Henceforth, make a pact to no longer wrap its stings around your chest, it will only cause you more pain. Don’t carry it on your head either, it’ll cloud your judgement and stop you from carrying out your Christian responsibility. Instead, let it go. Deal with it spiritually and allow God to heal you, he heals the broken-hearted.

Make a bold declaration of faith

(1)
Today I rest in the assurance that God accepts me and God loves me unconditionally. No matter what anybody may do to or against me, God is for me and he is never against me. When the world rejects me for Christ’s sake then the Lord accepts me for his name’s sake. His promises are sure and his word never fails. Nothing can separate me from this love of my God. He never leaves me and he never forsakes me. God accepts me unconditionally.

(2)
God is for me even when the world is against me. Rejection cannot pull me down nor can it drown me out . When I stand I stand with God and the spirit of rejection flees from me.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(3)
Rejection cannot put on hold God’s will for my life instead it will serve as part of God’s plan to pull me closer to God and fulfil God’s purpose for me. Henceforth, rejection will work together for my good.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(4)
I declare that the blessings of God is upon my life. When I am rejected for Christ’s sake, then I attract God’s acceptance even more. When people hate me because of my faith in God, they are pushing me closer to God and to fulfil my destiny then I will excel where God places me.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(5)
I declare that the feelings of rejection, hurts and pains cannot get me down. Instead of feeling rejected and feeling down, I hold on to God’s plan for my life which supersedes any fiery dart of the enemy shot against me. Henceforth I dwell in peace, I spring forth into a good future and I hold on to hope in God above any human behaviour. God’s plan gives life to my soul giving me something to look forward to daily, it gives springs to my steps and it shall be fulfilled in due time.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

(6)
I declare that I embrace God’s acceptance above any human acceptance. When God accepts me, nobody can be against me. When man rejects me for many reasons, God accepts me unconditionally.

Recovery From Identity Crisis

There are moments in life when the struggle gets real and a Christian finds himself or herself in a state of identity crisis. Those are moments when you may get discontented with life and you wish you had somebody else’s privileges, gifting or abilities otherwise things would have been different for you. Those are moments when you may begin to compare your failures to somebody else’s achievements. Those are times when you may look in the mirror but you wish you were as beautiful as that other person or you wish we had the same lifestyle as that other human being. Those are times when life may seem unfair otherwise you would have the same beauty as that of Queen Esther, or you would have the courage as that of Joshua the son of Nun, the bravery of Naomi who lost everything abroad yet returned home to face life alone, the faith of Daniel who stood in faith even in the face or adversity or the lifestyle of King Solomon who was the wealthiest man on earth.

When these thoughts pervades your mindset and everyday Christian life looks like Christianity isn’t working for you, then it is the time to get real with God, focus on him and allow his strength to be made perfect in your weaknesses. When these thoughts pops up in your mind, the best thing for us to do is to turn to God, stand fast with the belt of truth and counter every false lies of the devil with faith declarations. When the truth about who you are in God and the truth of God concerning you seems thwarted by the enemy’s fiery arrow, that is the best time to to fight back with your shield of faith. When it seems you are alone in this fight, be encouraged by the story of Moses who was born Jewish, raised as an Egyptian and at some point suffered from identity crisis yet who eventually embraced who God created him to be (Hebrews 11:24-25).

The best things of this world does not define who you are, only God does. Somebody once said this statement; “Be yourself, everybody else is taken”, allow me to say this to you, your DNA is different to others, your paths in life is different, follow it and become who God created you to be.

Make a Bold Declaration of Faith Today
I am created in the image of God for dominion over every other living creature on earth. I am specially created in the likeness of God for God’s blessings in fruitfulness, multiplication, subduing and dominion of the earth for God’s purpose on earth. God took one good look at me and he says I am wholesome and I am a good work of his hands.

God’s plan for me is that of peace and not of evil, that of hope and not of hopelessness, that of a great future and that plan shall be fulfilled in my life.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I am a child of the living God, the king of all kings. I am no longer conformed to the image of this world nor do I adhere to its patterns. Henceforth I see me the way God sees me and I think the way God wants me to think. I am a child of a king, the living God and I will live like one. Henceforth my mind is renewed as I study the word and I am at alert to God’s ways as I daily observe God’s laws. The word of God permeates through my being bringing me closer to God and transforming me into the likeness of Christ.

I am God’s special possession, God’s royal priest chosen for a life of holiness and to fulfil special assignment on earth. I no longer belong to the dark world but I belong to the light where God called me into. Therefore I no longer subject my mind, body and soul to the torment of this world but I surrender my will, my intellect and my desires to God’s will for my life. Henceforth I belong to the light, I belong to the living God, I am no longer a slave to darkness and I shall proclaim God’s excellencies for as long as I live.

Overcoming Low-Self Esteem & Regain Your Self Worth

When you wish you were somebody else, you may be suffering from a low esteem. When a man can’t control his anger and he finds himself lashing out at a woman compulsively, this may be a sign of low self-esteem problem. When a woman sleeps around without thinking of its consequences, she may be acting out her low self-esteem. When you find yourself with feelings of inadequacy but instead of admitting your weaknesses you act it out in an unacceptable manner, this may be low self-esteem reaching out in an ugly way.

Low self-esteem often reveals itself in an ugly way. Only trained minds and experienced eyes can detect its symptoms quite quickly. The Bible says that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. People suffering from low self-esteem do not only speak what is often in their minds, they act it out in ugly ways unbeknown to them sometimes.

I have seen teenagers battling low self-esteem by trying so hard to become who they are not and I have seen adults pretend they can hold it together whilst dying from this low self-esteem plague. Men cover up with control, manipulation and outburst of anger because they feel inadequate yet unable to admit their weaknesses. Women sleep around because they lack a sense of self-worth. Young adults dress up like grown-ups just to feel accepted. Both male and female succumb to peer pressure just to feel some sense of belonging. This is what low self-esteem does to you; it holds its victims captive, clouds your judgement and fills up your heart with lies. Lies such as you are not worth it, it’s your fault that bad things happen to you, you can never amount to something good, you have to do something wrong before somebody can take notice of you and so on.

A friend once shared in a group meeting how she wished she was somebody else. She totally adored a lady whom she thinks has the voice of the angels better than her singing voice. She would go to any length to adjust her voice to sound like this other lady’s voice but it all went terribly wrong and she got frustrated with herself. One day God spoke to her about the issue. God explained to her that there is a reason why she sounds differently from this other lady, the anointing upon her life is different from the anointing upon this other lady’s life. She is called to a different people than this other lady. When she heard this truth directly from God, it set her free for life. She no longer aspired to be somebody else but she began to pursue God’s purpose for her life.

The above symptoms are by no means an extensive list of signs to watch out for if you are suffering from low self-esteem or if you know somebody who may be suffering from this plague. However, the below biblical declarations of faith would be an anchor for anybody looking to overcome low self-esteem and regain their self-worth in Christ Jesus.

Make a Declaration of Faith with Me Today

1.
I declare that the words I speak are spirit and life and through them I regain my self worth in Christ Jesus. I declare that I am a new creation in Christ. The old me has gone, the new me has come.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

2.
I no longer live for myself, I have a new purpose in life; to live for Christ and to know and share His love with others.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

3.
I declare that I overcome low self-esteem through Christ who strengthens my inner being.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

4.
I declare that low self-esteem will not overwhelm me for I put my faith in God who delivers me from its traps. I will no longer yield to its whims and caprices but I yield my body, my will and my intellect to God for his kingdom use. I will hope in God who is faithful to keep me from getting lower than I already am. I will put my trust in God and he will provide a way of escape out of this prison and set me free to regain my self-worth.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

5.
It does not matter what anybody say, God loves me and my soul knows this. God surrounds me with his love and low self-esteem has no room in my being. Hence, I am called a child of God. I am not a subject to low self-esteem. When low self-esteem sees me, it flees from me because I carry God’s love in me and it flows through me to others around me.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

6.
I come to Jesus and there is rest for my soul. Henceforth I no longer carry the heavy burdens of low self-esteem, its yokes are broken over me and I regain my self worth in Christ Jesus.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

7.
I belong to God and greater is God who is in me than low self-esteem that is in the world. I have victory over low self-esteem and I overcome this plague by the words of God, it shall not return to God void without fulfilling its promises in me. This is my declaration.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

8.
I praise you o God for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

SCRIPTURES
(2 Corinthians 5:17).
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21 NIV)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:13-14 NIV)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:6-7 NIV)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV)
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well (Psalm 139:14 ESV).
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
I can do all things through him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13 ESV).
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him (1 John 3:1 ESV).
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30 ESV).”
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world (1 John 4:4 ESV).
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it (Isaiah 55:11 NIV).
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing. And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life (John 6:63).

4 Reasons Why You Need to Accept Jesus Christ.

It’s Easter Sunday and I recount the day I accepted Jesus Christ the saviour into my life. Before this day, I was not far fetched from being a sinner even though I grew up in a Christian home. I went through all the motion of praying, fasting, reading my Bible and going to church regularly. I even said the salvation prayer at some point in my teenage years but living the Christian life never really did sink into my mind.

I remember quite clearly the day I had enough and I cried out to Christ to save me. I was drowning in sorrow, guilt and shame. I was depressed and going through a really rough time in all areas of my life. I was rejected by family and friends and nobody seemed to want to have anything to do with me. I had been bruised and knocked down emotionally and battered physically such that I suffered from a low self esteem.

I don’t know what came over me but I broke down that day in tears and I called upon the name of God from the corner of my room. I cried out to God and he heard me from his holy hill. The peace that engulfed me after my prayers was unexplained and I haven’t looked back since then. You too can experience such peace and freedom in Christ if you so desire. Below are four reasons I believe you need to know to help you accept Jesus Christ into your life.

1.  FOR ABUNDANT LIFE
The devil has us bound in deceits and lies. He has blinded us and enticed us with lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life. We are so lost in the world with our won desires culminated with the heightening of our emotions for things of this world such that an easy life in God through Christ Jesus seemed less appealing.

Jesus Christ came to shine some light on our path. He opened our eyes to see the tactics of the devil as a liar and a thief who came only to steal, to kill and to destroy. Yet we close our eyes to the truth as we pursue the latest gadget, travel the world, control the mass and manipulate situations to suit our needs. We think less of others and more of ourselves. We look to the gods of this world on how to please ourselves against pleasing God in all that we do, and we go all the way to satisfy our flesh without thinking of the consequences it might bring to our soul. We have us blinded from the abundant life in God.

Yet Jesus Christ came to give us abundant life in God. He came to give us life and life in abundant  (John 10:10). If you are tired of the rat race, Tired of living to satisfy the human flesh, tired of living to please others rather than God, then Christ is your way out of such life and your way into abundant life.

I am the gate. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved. He will come in and go out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness (John 10: 9-10).

2. FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS
Jesus Christ died for your sins. Nobody can claim to be holy, free of sin. We have all sinned and our sins has banned us from God’s presence but when Christ died, he took it upon himself to carry the sin of the world and to make us right with God. Because of Christ’s death, our sins are forgiven and we are finally accepted by God.
He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God. Romans 4:25
……………………………………………………………………..
3. FOR SALVATION OF YOUR SOUL
Jesus Christ died so that you can be saved. Have you ever thought of the after life? What would happen when you die? Are you going to rest in the Lord and be in heaven or is your soul going to be tormented in hell? When you accept Christ, you are saved from eternal damnation and delivered into eternal life. Because of Christ’s death you have been set free from all manner of bondage and the captivity of the enemy.
Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:28
……………………………………………………………………..
4. FOR FREEDOM FROM YOKES AND HEAVY BURDENS
The burden of sin is heavy and its consequences is fatal. With Christ’s death you are set free from such burden and such consequences are cancelled against you. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. He calls you into freedom from sin, freedom from addictions, freedom from sufferings, freedom from pain, unfairness, disloyalty, injustice and everything that so weigh you down in life so that you can be free to serve him in holiness and in truth.
He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:24

Would you accept Christ today? Say yes to Jesus with this prayer of salvation

Death Bed Scriptural Declarations of Faith

Death is scary! No matter how old you are, you will never be ready. It separates us from what we know and it takes us to a territory unknown. When death comes knocking, nobody is able to stand strong and face its face alone. No matter how tall or short you are, no matter how rich or poor you may be, no matter how big or how skinny you may fancy yourself, a day of reckoning will beckon and you will answer to death’s call alone. Nobody can stand against death for you, you have to do it yourself. We all have to face him alone at some point in our lives and only Jesus can face him because he already won the battle against him.

As anointed and powerful as Jesus was, at just age 33 years old, Jesus of Nazareth as brave and courageous enough to die on people’s behalf, he cried out with a loud voice saying; “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” Mathew 27:46 (NIV). As close to Jesus as Lazarus was, his influence may have given him a second chance at life but it definitely could not stop him from answering the fateful call. He faced death all by himself until Jesus seized death on his behalf. John the Baptist was the forerunner of Jesus Christ yet a time came when he faced death alone, he was beheaded and his remains buried by his disciples.

Before Billy Graham died at the age of 99 years old, he made a bold declaration of faith many years before his death, with such foresight and insight into death he professed; “My home is in heaven, I’m just travelling through this world”. Such declaration of faith helps in facing death alone at any age. Such legacy, such example is worth following most especially on death beds.

Perhaps you know someone who might be afraid of dying or facing death alone? or perhaps you are on your death bed and feeling afraid, alone, forsaken and dejected. Making a bold declaration of faith will strengthen you for the next journey to eternity. It’ll shift your focus away from the tribulations of this world and set your heart on the journey home to heaven.

I am no longer afraid of dying for I cross over from death to life, I cross over from living in the flesh to a life in the spirit eternal. I cross over to live with Christ Jesus in the heavenly places with the hosts of angels and the heavenly beings. Death no longer has its hold on me. When I die on earth I will rise up with Christ who already won the battle over death for me. I believe that Jesus was sent from God the father to bring me salvation and through him, I will meet with God in heaven.

Scriptural Declarations of Salvation for Loved Ones

My brother was brought up with Christian values but he has since turned its back on those things that gave him life as a child. He is currently lost and I have been praying for his salvation for a while now. He may be labelled the black sheep of the family but I know with God’s mercy and pardon for his sins, it is only a matter of time before he gives his life to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I believe declarations of faith over this situation with prayers for his life will bring about the desired change. I believe that the more I declare the word of God concerning salvation over my brother’s body, soul, spirit and mind, the more my faith grows in the belief that God will save him.

I know that God does not want the death of sinners nor does he want them to go to hell or die in their sins. I am trusting God that like the prodigal son in the Bible (Luke 15:11-32) who lost his ways but traced his steps back to his father, I believe my brother will come back to Christ and accept him as his lord and saviour, I am trusting God to bring my brother home to him.

You may be in the same situation as me, been grieved over the salvation of your loved ones. You may have preached to them, shared the good news of Jesus Christ to them and perhaps prayed for them several times but you keep hitting hard rocks, do not give up on them. Let these declarations of faith take root in your heart to build up your faith as you believe God for them. You cannot save them but God can save them, therefore, allow the wind of God to carry these holy words of God that speak over them to reach them, to bring about the change of heart and transform their lives for the best.

Finding Peace in the Storms

This is the promise of God to all his children concerning peace;”When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you”(Isaiah 43:2). The image that comes to mind meditating on this scripture is that of an individual crossing over a deep water and they are afraid of being swept away but there is someone stronger than them walking side by side to them and urging them to carry on crossing because he is with them and they have nothing to be afraid of. This is exactly what the peace of God is when you submit your fears and anxieties to him. You have nothing to be afraid of because God is with you, gently guiding you and directing you on the right path.

When the three Hebrew boys Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were going to be thrown in the fire, they did not go ballistic instead they surrendered their fears to God and they exchanged their fears for God’s peace; “The God whom we serve will deliver us from you king…” and that God delivered them. He turned the burning fire into an air condition for them. Instead of them to be burning they were having a swell time with the Lord. This is what God means when he said in his word; When you go through fire it will not burn you for I am with you.

It is often said that a life without Christ is full of crisis. Life will always happen. Trials and tribulations will always come. There are times when life may seem chaotic and all you want to do is to find some peace and quietness. During such moment, I sometimes shut myself away from the world and I seek for peace in a retreat centre,  a hotel room away from home on a holiday, my room at home away from everybody else or even a quiet space at work. Those times away from the noise and the hullabaloo of the world sometimes help to rejuvenate my mind, body and spirit, but the truth is, such peace often only last but for a moment.

However, there is a peace that lasts a lifetime and it is often found in Jesus Christ. This peace that Christ gives helps us during the storms of life. This peace that Christ gives is in abundance and it adds no sorrow to us. Christ’s peace gives hope and helps us to stay afloat. Those who accept peace through Christ will always ride the tempestuous storm effortlessly. No matter how strong or how weak you are, no matter how talented or whether not so talented you may be, no matter how rich or how poor you may be, unless you accept and embrace the peace Christ gives in the storms, you will end up cracked open and broken in the storm.

During trials, some people will say, I am just trying to keep my head above waters”. As a follower of Christ, you need not try to keep your head above waters; through Christ you can confidently swim through deep waters of life. God said, “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you“.(Isaiah 43:2).

Peace is a gift from God and it is readily available for you. You only need to accept Christ. Accept his promises. Accept the peace he came to give the world. Speak out loud the following Bible declarations until your faith has been made stronger and you will see the word of God come alive for you in Jesus name.

Make a bold declaration of faith
1.
I declare that the peace of Christ encompasses around me. I will not be overwhelmed by trials or tribulations, instead, I overcome afflictions, I overcome trials and tribulations through Christ who overcomes the world just for me.

I believe that God hears me when I bring my prayer, petitions and requests to him through the name of Jesus Christ. Therefore, as I render my requests to God for the peace of mind, I rest in the assurance of his promises. I shall no longer worry myself about the things I cannot change but I will rest in God who gives me peace in the storm.

4.
I have made the Lord my strength and my peace. My days of turbulence are over. I am clothed with strength and blessed with the peace from heaven.

Biblical Confessions for My Finances – Kenneth Copeland Ministries

God cares about your finances! Sound surprising? Did you know that there are more than 2,000 verses in the Bible that deal with financial issues like money, greed, stewardship, debt, hard work, contentment, provision, investments and more? Just as with anything else, you should approach your finances in faith, believing that your heavenly Father will be true to His Word. And part of approaching your finances in faith involves the way you think and speak about them. If you constantly focus on your lack of money, complain about your financial outlook, and doubt that God will be faithful to His Word, then you will receive exactly what you expect. However, if instead, you proclaim God’s goodness, thank Him for His provision and expect Him to be faithful to His Word, you will receive the provision from Him that you expect.

But I have no idea what to say about my finances, you might think.

Well, we’ve got you covered. Here are four biblically based mini confessions to speak over your financial life.

More Than Enough
“God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, ‘They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.’” –2 Corinthians 9:8-9

Confession: God, I thank You that You generously provide everything I need. In fact, I thank You that according to Your Word, I have more than enough so that I can share my extra with the those in need. And every time this occurs, I’ll remember and proclaim Your faithfulness.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Every Need Covered
“My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” –Philippians 4:19, KJV

Confession: Lord, You know the needs I have even better than I do. I trust You with every part of my life, including my finances. I stand in faith for Your Word to come to pass that all my needs are met according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus. And I thank You for it!
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Provision by His Power
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.” –Matthew 6:25-33

Confession: Heavenly Father, I know You care for me. I know You love me. Your Word tells me that I am more valuable to You than the birds or the wildflowers. I trust and focus on that Word and You. You know the needs that I have for basic necessities, and I trust that You are meeting those needs right now. I will continue to thank You that those needs are met and that You will provide for me and my family every day of our lives.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Overcoming Debt
“Owe nothing to anyone—except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbour, you will fulfil the requirements of God’s law.” –Romans 13:8

Confession: Lord, I stand in faith for all my debts to be paid in full so that I may owe nothing except to love others. I understand that I cannot accomplish that on my own, but I know You can make that possible. And I trust You to do it.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Right now, begin proclaiming the Lord’s provision in your life. Whether you need a new job, a boost in your income, your debts paid off or some other need met, begin proclaiming the faithfulness and trustworthiness of the Lord and His Word. And when your financial miracle occurs, be sure to share it with us by email, on Facebook or on the Believers’ Academy forum. We want to celebrate God’s faithfulness with you!

Powerful Biblical Prayer of Declarations to Speak Over Your Life

There is so much power in the words we speak. What we say today creates our tomorrow. If we want a healthy and prosperous future, then we need to use wisdom and speak words that bring positive results. Our future depends on it.

To declare means:

• To make known formally or officially
• To state emphatically or authoritatively; affirm.
• To reveal or make manifest; show.
God spoke (declared) all things into existence. Since we are created in His image He has given us the authority and the power to declare over our own lives. You might be declaring over your life without even knowing it. Have you ever said, “I hate my life,” or “My life sucks,” or “I’m so fat and ugly.” These are negative declarations that will bring negative results into your life. I know, I’ve been there. I’ve learned that what I say or what I think brings what I am focusing on into my life. So, now I declare only positive words over my life. I am beginning to see the changes!

Scripture tells us, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17 NKJ) Scripture is a powerful tool we should use to declare over our lives.

I love to pray Psalm 91 over me. I substitute “you or your” with “I, me, and my,” as follows:
1.
Psalm 91
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High
will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
This I declare about the LORD:
He alone is my refuge, my place of safety;
he is my God, and I trust him.
For he will rescue me from every trap
and protect me from deadly diseases.
He will cover me with his feathers.
He will shelter me with his wings.
His faithful promises are my armour and protection.
I will not be afraid of the terrors of the night,
nor the arrow that flies in the day.
I will not dread the disease that stalks in darkness,
nor the disaster that strikes at midday.
Though a thousand fall at my side,
though ten thousand are dying around me,
these evils will not touch me.
Just open my eyes,
and I will see how the wicked are punished.
If I make the LORD my refuge,
if I make the Most High my shelter,
no evil will conquer me;
no plague will come near my home.
For he will order his angels
to protect me wherever I go.
They will hold me up with their hands
so I won’t even hurt my foot on a stone.
I will trample upon lions and cobras;
I will crush fierce lions and serpents under my feet!
The LORD says, “I will rescue those who love me.
I will protect those who trust in my name.
When they call on me, I will answer;
I will be with them in trouble.
I will rescue and honor them.
I will reward them with a long life
and give them my salvation.” (NLT)
……………………………………………………………………..
2.
I also do the same for Ephesians 1:17-23 and Ephesians 3:14-21.

Ephesians 1:17-23
…asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give me spiritual wisdom and insight so that I might grow in the knowledge of God. I pray that my heart will be flooded with light so that I can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance.

I also pray that I will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.
……………………………………………………………………..
3.
Ephesians 3:14-21
I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower me with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in my heart as I trust in him. My roots will grow down into God’s love and keep me strong. And may I have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May I experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then I will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within me, to accomplish infinitely more than I might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Scriptural Declarations to Help Overcome Temptations

If the devil tempted Jesus Christ at his most vulnerable moments, he will tempt you, his follower. Temptations come when you least expect it. An innocent act here, a little white lie there and by the time you know it, you are neck deep in it. Even when you keep yourself pure, the devil will find a way to tempt you.

When Jesus hungered, the devil tempted him with food and as a result, God sent angels to attend to him. When Joseph went about his chores as a servant, the devil tempted him with a woman and as a result, he ended up in jail. When David was idle in the palace, the devil tempted him with beauty and as a result, he lost a child. When Saul was at war, the devil tempted him with the spoils from the war, as a result, he lost his kingdom.

On this Christian journey, you cannot escape temptations. The moment you declare your allegiance to Jesus Christ, you become the devil’s target. His number one goal is to distract people from knowing the truth. His mission is to stop people from knowing God, to win them over to his side and to ultimately lead them to their deaths.

There is a current continuous massive campaign against smoking as being dangerous to health. In a bid to help quitters in smoking, an electronic cigarette was introduced. The people who subscribed to the e-cigarettes are somewhat free from the danger smoking causes to their health but they are mostly hooked with the e-cigarettes – where is total freedom in this e-cigarettes?

To overcome temptations, you have to fight through with the sword of the spirit which is the word of God, otherwise, you are most likely to become the devil’s victim. You, as a Christian, must be careful, watchful and prayerful lest you fall into temptation. You must recognise the tactics of the enemy. You must be vigilant and ready to thwart his strategy against your soul.

The devil does not rest. He is always prowling, always looking for who to devour, always scheming and always watching for an opportune time to carry out his plans. His weapons may seem irresistibly strong, your weapons of warfare will overcome his strength at any time. Be ready to fight back with the weapons of your warfare.

Put on the whole armour of God, indispensable and readily made available for you. Wear the belt of truth and the body armour of God’s righteousness, for shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to these, hold up the shield of faith in order to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God with you (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Finally, fight back with the following Bible declarations and let God do the rest for you.

7 Bible Prayers of Forgiveness and Repentance from When Christians Hurt Each Other

Christians sometimes struggle with forgiveness and repentance. When we get hurt, we want immediate justice and vengeance. And when we hurt other people’s feelings, we find it hard to swallow our pride, reflect upon our actions, accept our faults, repent from our sins and make amends where necessary.

Instead of fighting for peace, we pursue deceit and end up being defeated. Instead of letting go and letting God fight the battle, we allow the flesh to rule and lead us into taking matters into our own hands and taking vengeance whenever we can.

This fight against flesh is the first fight we must conquer in order to become Christ-like. Christ who was led to the slaughter yet he did not open his mouth to condemn anybody though he had the power to stop his tormentors not once did he lift a finger neither did he speak a word to curse instead he prayed for them saying, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do” (Isaiah 53:7, Luke 23:34).

You may not have done it on purpose, but for some reasons beyond your imagination, you may have found out that you hurt other people’s feelings and you will like to reconcile this before God. Perhaps the Holy Spirit has convicted you of hurting other people’s feelings and you wonder how to go about it. The following Bible Prayer will help you to pray for God’s forgiveness and cause you to repent from hurting others henceforth.

Make Peace With All Men

The Christian life is a spiritual journey of total surrender to God. When He said; “pursue peace with all men (Hebrews 12:14)”, he meant, in spite of your views, opinions or perspectives of that situation, approach every situation with peace in mind. Do not think about your interest rather think about the best way to advance the kingdom of God. No matter how difficult the situation is, be the light, be the salt, be the solution and bring peace with you. This, in essence, means let go of your ego, make necessary sacrifices at every opportunity, swallow your pride and ride on God’s wings of justice.

Not in my wildest dream would I ever thought I would offend a friend so much so that she would tell me she no longer wants to be friends with me. But it happened. That situation broke me. I went home for days, cried and then prayed about it all. But I didn’t stop there, I chose to forgive the hurt my friend had caused me. Even though she chose not to be my friend anymore, I chose to make myself available to her as a friend. I continued to be myself around her and I offered to help whenever needed. Thankfully the strain between us was lifted.

One of the greatest ways to shut down the enemies is by offering peace when they expect a fight back. When the enemy accuses you and tries to attack your personality, pray for them. Don’t fight back. Don’t try to explain yourself. Don’t try to justify your actions. Sincerely apologise and take your case to God. He is the one who will fight your battle for you, let him do it. This is what it means to pursue peace with all men; to live a life of selflessness, to not consider your own feelings nor remain adamant on your rights, to render an apology first even when you are right and the other person refuses to apologise.

When you have a valid cause of complaint and you are feeling justified by your actions, put aside your rightness and win that battle with humility and your obedience to God’s commandment will earn you a great reward; the Bible says ” Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9). When you make peace with others your priority, you are blessed and you shall be called a child of God. But when you respond word for word, when you slide the issue under the carpet for a revenge or when you start to keep malice with the offender, you are not being a child of God, instead, you are putting yourself up for strife, anger or violence.

A child of God must respond to offence exceptionally. Jesus Christ said; “Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar. First, go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift“(Matthew 5:23-24). Prayer may be the master key to talking to God, forgiveness may be key to God in answering prayers but making your peace with others is definitely the key to God listening to your prayers.

Perhaps you are struggling with making peace with others, the following Bible Declarations have been compiled to help you. May the spoken word of God renew your mind to a state of peace even as you meditate on the word, speak it into existence and pray it through into your life in Jesus name.

Make a Declaration of Faith
1.
I bless God for the peace that comes only from him. Without Christ, in our lives, there will be no peace in the world. I declare that I am a peacemaker through the prince of peace who enables me to become one.
……………………………………………………………………..
2.
I am a child of God. I am a peacemaker. Through Jesus Christ, I express peace unto others at all times. The Prince of Peace is my lord and saviour. He enables me to be at peace with all men. He empowers me to proclaim peace to all men and he equips me with his peace that passes all understanding.
……………………………………………………………………..
3.
I bring peace to the world around me. Even in the midst of problems, I will do the works of God in bringing peace to all men as he commanded.
……………………………………………………………………..
4.
I am a peacemaker in the world through Christ who paid the price for my peace (Isaiah 53:5).
……………………………………………………………………..
5.
Today I choose peace over problems. I will follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. I will pursue and live in peace with all men. I will make every effort to live in holiness without which no one can see God. And henceforth I shall be called a son of God (Isaiah 9:6, 1 Peter 3:11, Colossians 3:15, Matthew 5:9, Hebrews 12:14).
……………………………………………………………………..
6.
As far as God gives me grace, I will live at peace with everyone not taking revenge where I have been hurt but surrendering all to God and allowing him to repay all as he deems fit. Henceforth, I will make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification of others. I will not repay anyone evil for evil. I will be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone with the help of God who lives sovereign over all (Romans 12:17-21, Romans 14:19)

7 Bible Declarations To Help Christians Struggling To Admit Personal Wrongdoings

Not admitting personal wrongdoings is an act the world is accustomed with and you will be forgiven to think that such behavior does not exist among Christians. Unfortunately, Christians do struggle with this unethical behavior too. It started from the beginning when Adam blamed Eve for giving him the forbidden fruit to eat and Eve, in turn, blamed the crafty serpent for playing a trick on her (Genesis 1: 12-13). The truth is, despite having accepted Christ as personal Lord and savior, Christians still struggle with the flesh until the mind is completely renewed and life is transformed in Christ Jesus (Romans 12:2).

Apostle Paul struggled so much with the flesh, he lamented; “Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death?” (Romans 7:24 NLT), “For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate” (Romans 7:15).

The Bible states that we have been chosen to conform to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29) and not to conform to the world. Unfortunately, the world has become like the crafty serpent and instead of encouraging admittance of wrongdoings, it discourages non conformists from doing the right thing. Should you admit being wrong in the world today, you are seen as a weakling and therein lies the struggle. The struggle to be seen as strong, independent, to be seen as a team player and be accepted in the work place, in the social circle, among friends and family is real among Christians too.

Sadly, the underlying cause for this prevalent plague is pride and there is a need to be cleansed of it. The Bible admonished us to stay away from pride, it comes before a fall (Proverbs 16:18). King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon reaped the consequences of being proud, he became an animal until God had mercy on him (Daniel 4). We are now in Christ Jesus and we must no longer conform to the way of the world but God’s way of doing things.

Should you struggle with admitting wrongdoings, do not be ashamed of it, do not cover it up, instead seek God’s help in humility and ask him to help you to be considerate of others in deeds and in words. This would be a sign of personal spiritual growth. Bible declarations below aim to help you on your way to freedom from this transgression.

3.

……………………………………………………………………..
4
I declare that I no longer take part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead, I expose them to the light of God(Ephesians 5:11).
……………………………………………………………………..
5.
I pledge to be kind to others, tenderhearted, forgiving, as God in Christ forgave me (Ephesians 4:32).
……………………………………………………………………..
6.
Henceforth, I walk in a manner worthy of my calling in Christ, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with others in love and eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-32).
……………………………………………………………………..
7.
From today onward, I live in love for God is love and this is acceptable to him. I will be patient and kind; I will not be envious or boastful; I will not be arrogant or be rude. I will no longer insist on my own way or be irritable nor resentful according to the grace God has given me (1 Corinthians 13:1-13)

10 Biblical Declarations of Repentance on Ash Wednesday

Repentance is not for sinners only, it is for new Christians, matured Christians and everybody who is capable and willing to admit personal wrong doings (James 5:15, Ephesians 5:11), accept own responsibilities (Romans 14:10) and make peace with God and man. Though we live in a world where people hardly admit wrongdoings, this is not the Christian way to living life in abundance. The Christian lifestyle would be to realise personal mistakes, admit wrong doings, repent and refrain from repeating the same mistakes again. In the history of Christianity, Ash Wednesday has been consecrated for such an act of repentance.

Repentance is when the thief on the cross rebuked the other thief saying; “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We are suffering justly because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done; but this Man has done nothing wrong” (Luke 23:40-41). Repentance is when the despised tax collector considered by the Pharisees to be the worst sinner, went up to the temple to make amends with God. He beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner’ (Luke 18:13).

A state of self-reflection brings us to repentance and one that we must continuously observe like Job, who often sought God’s forgiveness for his children should they had sinned against God (Job 1:5). Should you be joining other Christians worldwide to observe lent, you are are taking the right step in trying to be right with God and knowing him more through fasting and praying.

In addition to preparing yourself for baptism, focusing on your relationship with God, choosing to give up something or to volunteer and serve others during Lent, below are Ash Wednesday Bible declarations of repentance for new and matured Christians observing Lent. Let the word of God be a sign of the cross to you as you speak it into existence and allow the word of God to wash over you in reflection and in repentance.

3 Bible Declarations New Christians Need To Overcome Sin

As a new Christian, getting over the first hurdle of giving your life and accepting Christ as your LORD and savior is a huge decision. If you answered the call to follow God’s ways, congratulations, you are now born again! All you need now is to overcome sin and temptations of the devil, and stay focused on God.

Sin is awful and as a new Christian, you might find yourself falling back to old ways of doing things and reasoning. One of the ways to overcome sin is to speak the word of God over that situation until it transforms you and you are completely set free. The Bible says if anyone is in Christ, old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that you can let go of the past and you can assume your new position in Christ. Everything has been made new. The Bible also says that anybody who believes in Christ overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), you are an overcomer through Christ.

Therefore, you can live free of sin. And if you are struggling like most people in this new way of life, indulge in the word. Speak the word of God over your life and it will come alive to transform you. The following Bible declarations will strengthen your faith and help you to steer the course of your journey in abstaining from sin and living in righteousness.

Make a Declaration of Faith

3.
I have the fear of God established in my heart, I will walk in His ways, do no wrong and tell no lies, nor will a deceitful tongue be found in my mouth. therefore, when I eat and sleep in safety, and no one will make me afraid (Psalm 128:1, Zephaniah 3:13)

Some believe in their families
Some believe in their governments

But all these can fail you
The only person who does not fail is Jesus.
He is steadfast in his love
He is faithful in his words
He is beautiful in his works

His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom
His name is powerful
He is the way maker, miracle worker and a promise keeper
He is the light in the darkness
He is the way, the truth and the life.

Anyone who believes in him will never remain the same again
Anyone who trusts in the name of Jesus will be saved
Anyone who relies in his words will never be let down
Would you believe in Jesus?

Biblical Declaration of Faith for Provision

Whenever I need provision of any sort I reach for my Bible and I declare in faith; The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want (Psalms 23:1). I declare this scripture because I am aware that Shepherds always provide for their sheep. They go to any length to look for food, water and shelter for their sheep. They go beyond providing the basic needs, they guide, direct and protect their sheep. I have made the Lord Jesus Christ my shepherd and Jesus is a good shepherd who laid down his life for his sheep (John 10:11-15). Therefore I am convinced that he will provide for all my need and yours.

What do you lack? What do you need? What exactly is it that you want? Are you unemployed, call upon Jesus the good shepherd. Are you single looking to be married, call upon the good shepherd for a good husband and companion. Are you hungry, call upon Jesus the good shepherd to feed you, do you need clothing? Jesus is more than able to clothe you, do you need shelter? Jesus can provide. Do you need guidance, counselling, comfort, protection? What do you need? Call upon the name of Jesus. He is a good shepherd and he will look after you.

Shepherds lead. Shepherds guide and guard. Shepherds direct. They are responsible for the safety and welfare of their flocks. As a good shepherd, the Lord looks after the welfare of his children. He makes sure that they are in good health, they are fed, sheltered, guided and guarded, well rested, provided for, they lack nothing. Even their hair is taken care of.

King David understood the role of shepherds. More so he understood the role of Jesus as the good shepherd. That is why he said, the Lord is his shepherd. He acknowledged Jesus as his shepherd. King David surrendered himself to the Lord as his shepherd. Not because he saw himself as an animal but because he saw beyond the physical. He was being metaphorical. He simply recognized the Lord as the good Lord who leads, guides and guard, provides for his children. He saw beyond the realm of the physical and he had the revelation that the Lord is responsible for the safety and protection of his own.

You may choose to see the Lord differently. He may not be a shepherd to you but he may be a father to you. He may be a God to you or a king. You can attribute those names and authorities to the Lord if you so wish to do so. But allow me to introduce Jesus to you who is a shepherd and a good one at it. Jesus said he is the good shepherd. There are bad shepherds who do not care for their sheep but Jesus is a good shepherd who looks after his own. He will do everything in his capacity to provide for you, to protect you, to guide and guard you, to lead you in the path of life and in the paths of righteousness. He will lead you besides still waters and allow you to lie down in green pastures.

If you know Jesus, Call upon the name of Jesus and he will do whatever you ask in his name. If you do not know Jesus, call upon his name still and he will come to your aid.

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

I call upon the name of the Lord and he answers me. Jesus is my shepherd I shall not lack anything good. I shall not lack a good companion for he set a good shepherd over me and he settles me in a good home.

Jesus is my shepherd, I will not lack employment for he leads me to a green pasture(a good company to work with). Jesus opens a great door for effective work for me and I shall enter therein for good works.
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Jesus is my shepherd, I shall not lack a good house over my head for he leads me beside still waters(a good house in a good neighbourhood).

This is my declaration. God said it, I believe it and so shall it be.

SCRIPTURE
Psalm 23

Assurance of Salvation Scriptural Declarations

There are moments in a Christian life when doubts set in and he needs an assurance of his salvation. Soon after he became a Christian in college, author C S Sprout wrote a book titled; Can I lose my salvation? he shared his experience where he was advised by an elderly woman to “drive a spiritual stake in the ground right now.” He needed to make sure his conversion was forever. You may not have received a sound advice like C S Sprout when you accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour but as time goes by, you may find life happen and you begin to wonder and ask yourself some serious questions; Am I a Christian? Is my salvation real?

Whenever you experience such fiery dart of the enemy, it is best to nip it in the bud before it grows out of hands. Whenever you begin to wonder whether your salvation is real and genuine, whether you are still in faith, still on the Christian journey, whether you have completely backslidden or whether you were even saved at all, be assured that you are under an attack and you may have opened the door for such fiery darts from the devil and his cohorts.

You might be at that stage where you are feeling guilty, fearful, doubtful and condemned by your actions, wondering as you wander in life, am I saved? How can I say that I am saved when I gave up on Jesus under pressure? How can I say that I am saved when I sold out for pleasure whilst under pressure instead of guarding my soul? My saint has been tampered with what now can I do?

Whenever you get to this stage of doubt in your faith, know that you are under an attack of the enemy against your faith in God. You may even be at the brink of backsliding and like Peter who denied Jesus three times in order to save his face, you too may have denied Christ at some stage in your Christian journey.

In that time when the enemy has sown the seeds of doubts and unbelief, in that time when you want to do the right thing but you find yourself doing the wrong things. In that time when you are fearful and doubtful of your belief in God and your true salvation. In that time of struggle with your salvation, in that time when you question your belief and faith in God, make a declaration of faith out loud.

Declaration of faith
Whatever you say often gets rooted in your heart. Continue to confess your faith and you will see a turn around in your belief.

I am saved by grace through Jesus Christ. Not by might nor by my power was I saved dbut by the grace of God. I believe with my heart that I am saved. God said it, I believe it and so it is.

The Spirit of God bears witness with my spirit that I am saved and I have become a child of God.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Nothing can separate a child of God from their Father.Romans 8:38-39

Let us also be secure in knowing that “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” Romans 10:13.

7 Critical Things Jesus Did Just For You

Jesus did not go through agonising pain on the cross for no reason. He did not suffer rejection in the hands of those he cared for and loved for no just cause. His betrayal by the most trusted disciple was no child’s play. Jesus did it all for a reason in the season. He went through it all so that you might have abundant life.

Like a criminal he was harshly treated, beaten, spat upon, stripped naked, pierced, whipped with seventy lashes, condemned to death on the cross, so that you could be redeemed from the harsh consequences of sin and just so that you do not have to go through the same injustice he suffered on earth.

Jesus was pierced for your rebellion(transgression) – Adam and Eve surrendered their will to be tempted of the devil and thereby introduced sin to the world.(Romans 5:12) making us all sinners (Romans 3:23), even from our mothers womb (Psalm 51:5). Since the eyes of the Lord cannot see evil(Habakkuk 1:13) and He want to redeem mankind from sin (Titus 2:14), He gave his only begotten son (John 3:16), Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). So Jesus was beaten and tortured for your transgressions so that salvation might be made available to everyone, and in all of his sufferings he didn’t say a word.

Jesus carried your sicknesses and pains – Jesus took upon himself our infirmities and carried away our diseases (Matthew 8:17), so that we might be made whole (John 5:6). God intends for his children to live a healthy life just as a father would suffer for his children so that they do not have to go through the same suffering. Jesus was beaten up, crushed for the sins of many not because he brought it upon himself nor because he deserved the beaten, but because God ordained Christ to carry the sicknesses and diseases of sinners that they might partake of the healing process once they come into salvation the prophesy might be fulfilled (Matthew 8:17)(Hebrews 6:4), his body was broken for you and by his stripes, you were healed(1Cor.11:23,24).

Jesus was poor for your sake – He was looked down on and passed over because he took upon himself your poverty so that you might be rich in the spirit (2 Corinthians 8:9). He was meek and lowly (Mathew 11:29) so that you might inherit the kingdom (Matthew 5:3). Jesus died without a thought for his own welfare, just so that you might be a partaker of the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus was beaten bloody for the sins of the people – His body was broken and his blood was shed to make you a child of God (Matthew 26:28). The beatings made him unattractive. People looked on him and turned away because they thought he was a scum. The truth is, it was your ugliness and wickedness (our sins) he carried that disfigured him and made him unwanted in the society and through his bruises we get healed.

Jesus grieves over your sins – We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost. We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong on him. Jesus is the good shepherd, the good shepherd will never allow his sheep to go astray and if any of the sheep goes astray, he leaves the ninety-nine behind to search for the lost sheep (Luke 15:1-7) and bring him back into the fold. Jesus looks out for everybody that his father put in his care except for the stubborn sons of perdition (John 17:12) accounts for everybod Jesus took the punishment of sins of the world, and that made us whole. He was grieved for the sins of the world, he was sorrowful for the lost soul (Hebrews 5:5-8)

Jesus died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2) – Jesus died for the sins of the world. He laid down his life as a sacrifice to atone for your sins and my sins (1 John 3:16) (John 15:13) (John 10:18). There would have been bloodshed and eternal damnation had Christ not laid down his life for the payment of our sins. He loves us so much he was willing to pay the sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.

Jesus was buried with the wicked that you might rise up with him in righteousness – They threw him in a grave with a rich man, even though he’d never hurt a soul or said one word that wasn’t true. This was done so that we might rise up with him in righteousness at the end of time (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

Now, it’s up to you. Do you own your weaknesses and sorrows? Do you want to continue in your ways as though you’re okay, as though his death means nothing, and as though eternity doesn’t hang in the balance? You can confess your rebellion and sins, and trust him to forgive you, make you whole. PRAYER OF SALVATION

How do I know if I lack wisdom? by Mo Adiah

How do I know if I lack wisdom? The book of James 1 verse 5 says; “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” 8d1e87a77f4be424e5ab81c9b48e76b5This book is not usually deemed as the ‘wisdom’ book but this verse speaks on wisdom and emphasizes it’s importance. The wisdom being talked about is Godly wisdom, often referred to as ‘ divine wisdom’ so I can’t judge by what my mind is naturally conditioned to think or what the general consensus is, there is a much deeper dimension. This therefore suggests that there are at least two kinds of wisdom; divine wisdom and worldly wisdom.

‎Divine wisdom is the ultimate goal at all times but how do I know which kind of wisdom I am operating under? In any given situation or moment, we can take the litmus test and ask active questions like; does it line up with the word of God? Is the wisdom I think I posses one that seeks to diminishes others, one set out to please others at the expense of God’s command and so on.

It would be ‎optimum to live from a place of constant divine wisdom where our request from God is for more and more wisdom. As the saying goes, we should ‘grow older and wiser’ but I have found that this can only be attained from a relationship with the Holy Spirit where he is our constant guide to life, there is no corner to be cut in this.

Another gem found in this verse (James 1:5) is that it gives an assurance that we can and should ask God for whatever we are lacking. It is stated like a no brainer, ‘if you are lacking, ask!’ there is no ounce of hesitation or drawn out pondering in the way this is expressed.

James 1:6 goes on further to say we must ask in faith‎, without wavering; “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.‎”‎ There is a certainty about asking in faith without doubting as it is impossible to please God without it (Hebrews‎ 11:6). It brings to light that if we ask God for anything in faith, we will receive it.

‎I pray that you may grow in both wisdom and unshakeable faith daily. Remember, if you are lacking anything, ask of the Lord.
