These past few days, past weeks even have been nothing but trouble. The days have been filled with panic attacks that birthed disorderliness. Fear has hijacked our faith and it has birthed uncertainty. Anxiety has visited our homes leaving many to worry about the future. This Coronavirus has filled the world leading to the deaths of many and bad news has spiraled out of control leaving the world in disarray, but in all of these, there are so many things to be grateful for.
As I reflected on the news of the passing away of a former colleague, a vision flashed through my mind and it was that of a battery lifecycle. Every time a battery is used, its life decreases and every time the battery is powered up, life is restored, fully topped up until it is used again and the cycle continues. The human life is fragile and it runs as a battery lifecycle. The more we use it the quicker it runs out, Unless the Lord recharges or refuels the life within on a daily basis; every second, every minute and every hour of the day, we will not be alive to do so many amazing things that we do. When I look back on my life, I can think of multiple times when friends, family and strangers have shown me incredible love. Whether it was an early morning lift to the airport, a thoughtful gift in hard times, or just a much-needed kind word, I am so appreciative for the ways that I have been loved over the years.
But as treasured as these moments are, the most precious acts of love that I have experienced are the times when others have shared Jesus with me. Those beautiful moments when people have understood that the most loving thing I needed was to be pointed to Love Himself.
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
There are so many trouble in this world. Jesus said it; “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”(John 16:33). In this year 2020 alone, there have been so many shocking news in the headlines yet we’ve only been through two months in the year 2020!
We have been shocked by the deaths of lifestyle celebrities like Kobe Bryant and Caroline Flack who were quite young and in the prime of their lives. Brexit is still happening and we are in a battle with the widespread Corona virus disease. Who knew there was anything like this that could bring China to a standstill (and affect the global markets)?!
One thing is certain though. This is not a one sided battle. This battle affects all of us; both believers and non believers, old and young, male and female. Nobody is left out in this battle. Our afflictions may be unique to individuals but collectively we need to pray to God to save our souls and to deliver our world from these many trouble.
Did you know you already have victory through Christ over temptations?
We are oftentimes lured into temptation but this is down to the lustful desires of our hearts. We are enticed and drawn away into committing lustful sins. As James explains it; “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away” (James 1:14 NLT).
Jesus was pure in heart, however, even though he was tempted by the devil., he had no sin (2 Corinthians 5:21). He was God on earth and God does not have lustful desires. He was not a sinner otherwise he could not have overcome the devil’s temptations. He was the righteous man made a sinner for us so that we can be the righteousness of God.
First, he was tempted so that the works of the devil could be exposed; “the devil always tempts people not God” (James 1:13). Jesus wanted us to understand what it’s like to be tempted because he himself was also tempted. Secondly, He wanted to make us aware that temptations will come our way in life, so we must be prepared for them.
Furthermore, Jesus combated the battle against temptation and won, so we now know that we also can have victory over temptations (John 16:33). The battle is already won, all we have to do is claim it!
It’s coming up to another valentine’s day, so let’s talk about the big L word. Love. When people describe God, they may speak of His love or even say that ‘God is Love’. But what does this really mean? And how can God’s love connect with us on…valentine’s day (especially if you’re single)?
For us to have the emotion of love we must build a relationship with something or someone. We all need to build relationships with others in one way or another. Relationships are built through a connection between two or more people. Sounds simple enough, but whether this be with family or friends, relationships can be hard. They take time, commitment, effort and prioritising. Continue reading “Let’s talk about… Love”→
I enjoyed watching the movie Pinocchio as a child. In one scene, the father woke him up, helped him get ready and gave him the provision for the day. And just as Pinocchio was about to step out of the door, his father said out loud to him; “I love you Pinocchio”. What a great way to start the day! to receive words of affirmation.
Your heavenly father also affirms you on a daily basis. He pronounces a blessing of fruitfulness, productivity and abundance over you, his child, each passing day. As he wakes you up each morning and he helps you get ready for the day, he pronounces a blessing over you saying; “Be fruitful” (Genesis 1:28).
You already carry the seeds of fruitfulness in you only if you will believe it and allow it to grow into abundance. From the time of your creation your heavenly father put in you those seeds of fruitfulness so that you can live a life of abundance, you can increase and not decrease, you can grow in godly character that is needed to build fruitful relationships, both with God and with man.
God rejoices and sings over you each passing day (Zephaniah 3:17). He is your personal cheerleader as much as he is mine and he wants to see you thrive in life, not just to survive. He wants your day to be prosperous as much as he wants your soul to prosper (3 John 1:2). He wants you to succeed and not fail.
Whenever you are feeling down or your day is not going as productive as you would have liked it to be, I’d like for you to reach out for this declaration of fruitfulness and pronounce it over your life. Together let’s change your world with the word of God. Click on the declaration card below and let the words in it be on your lips every day. Don’t forget to download the 31 Days of prayer and declarations for the New Year. They are specially compiled for your use.

Is it possible that you missed the call for 21 days of fasting and prayer in my vision 2020 post? In the post I shared the vision that God laid on my heart and the word he has given for the year 2020. I believe God has given us his promise for this year and we will need to align ourselves with vision for a vision without works is dead.
I believe that every vision needs a spirit-led direction and guidance with faith-full works to manifest! This is why I have decided to seek God first in the place of prayer and fasting and I will be joining my place of worship – Jesus House for all the nations in this spiritual exercise because for God’s promise to manifest in my life I also need to play my part in what God is doing.
I hope you will join us in this spiritual exercise or perhaps give it serious consideration? However, it is OK if you have already observed your period of seeking the Lord before now as some churches and Christians do but if you join us every day in prayers if not in fasting, this will be great too. For as long as we are backing up God’s promises with some spirit-led actions together with guidance and some direction.
We will be meeting every day in our place of worship in London (don’t worry if you can’t join us physically because you can participate online) and this will be for 21 days of pure focus on Christ the King.
I really hope you’ll find some time to be a part of it. If you’d like to be a part of it, please do not hesitate to send me a direct message and I will send you further details closer to the day and time.
This is it. The beginning of a new year ….and a new decade!
Are you ready for a brand new future?
My mum said to me the other day, “I don’t want to take this many pills anymore”. She is 75 years old and desires to live a medication free life in the new year. Although those vitamins help to support her aging bones and body in functioning, she still continues to speak aloud her desire to change her world.
In order to live transformed by the renewing of our minds, we need to first feed our hearts and minds with God’s prescribed medicine for our souls. He has dispensed many of those pills to us in His words and they make our lives worth living on earth.
I learnt a new thing about broken bones recently and it is that, to fix them, they will have to be aligned with a metal and a bandage for a while until they heal. Nothing else needs to be done. No gruesome hospital operation needs to be carried out, only an X-RAY of the broken bones to help the doctors know how best to align the bones with the metal and then they observe the healing over a period of time. I had an experience a while back that got me into thinking about the word for the year 2020. It was during the peak period at a train station when you might expect everything to be chaotic; there’s always a child crying, at least one person is trying to dash for the train, the train station is overcrowded with distressed commuters – you can just imagine the worst, but in the midst of that chaos was a perfect harmony.
Heavenly father I thank you for this beautiful Sunday morning.
Only you can wake us up from a deep sleep and still give us the strength for each day.
I thank you for giving me another chance at life, another chance to make things right and another chance for a fresh start.
Because of your mercy, forgiveness is made real and I am able to let go of yesterday for a new start.
Because of your grace, the gift of life is entrusted into my hands so that I can live wisely.
Because of your love, I am spared new moments and a brand new beginning in life is given to me.
Thank you for the grace, hope, faith and love released on earth, help make today worth living.
First my brother called my mum one day and apologized. It was a prayer answered! It was a major breakthrough in my family!
We had prayed for his return to the family for many years and one day, my long lost brother came back to us. He sought for peace to reign and by God’s grace we were reconciled. Today my family is reunited. Thanks be to God for an answered prayer!
Do you recall the story of the three wise men who had the privilege of knowing first when Christ was born? Their destinies was to see the new born king, to pay homage to him and to give him gifts. They were so filled with joy when they heard the news about the saviour of Israel who had been born! They were so very close to fulfilling destiny. There would be no more delay in their lives. Their desires would soon come to past. Continue reading “A Christmas Story – Life Lessons from The Three Wise Men”→
Many people often get stressed in the few weeks running up to the end of the year and it is important that you know this is not part of God’s plan for your life. God never planned for you to be a part of the UK Statistics of 74% of adults who have felt stressed, overwhelmed and unable to cope over the past year. His plan for you is to be in good health as your soul prospers. As a car could not be manufactured without a shock absorber your body could not be created without a resistance to stress in your DNA.
You are a child of the living God with the DNA of the most high. Your body is the temple of the Lord and nothing can destroy God’s temple. You have been hard-wired with resistance to stress. It is woven into your body system. You will always bounce back from stress but most importantly you can prevent it from getting through to you. When you surrendered yourself to God, you surrendered your body too hopefully. This means that you carry the DNA of the living God in your body and it does not accommodate destructive elements in the body. Your body is the temple fo God and nothing can destroy God’s temple. As a
Have you ever felt imprisoned by life so much so that you tried everything but kept hitting a brick wall? I went through a time like this when my life was grounded to a halt. I felt trapped and unable to move forward. I was drowning in debt and it didn’t seem like I was going to ever come out of it. I lost my job and had no means of livelihood. For years I couldn’t work, travel, go on a holiday or go out with friends. My situation was worse than that of a wicked person. My life had been sapped out of me and all that mattered to me was to break free from it all.
When life stood still for me and all I could see was a dark tunnel without a glimpse of light, I kept praying through the Bible. That was a season when walls closed in on me and I couldn’t swim through the sea of life without talking to God about it. Although it seemed like my life was in total darkness and I couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, God kept me safe. My life was not in total darkness and I sought for the light in prayers, Jesus came through for me.
It is World Mental health week and I am reminded of the supernatural help I received during a difficult period of depression in my life. Although I have no recollection of the moment when life went spiralling downward, I remember some of the symptoms I suffered. Constant crying, mood swings, being irritable and just feeling deeply saddened with life. I was ready to defend myself when criticized, feeling condemned or judged by anybody.
Every day was a struggle and I felt the closest people to me were not emotionally available to help me deal with difficult situations. The only thing that helped me was the Bible. I managed to read it every day, cover to cover. Even though I didn’t understand a lot of it, I called on the same God who gave many people victory in the Bible. I made several biblical declarations over myself to recover my mindset, using scriptures such as “for God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We all have pride. It is embedded in our veins right from our mother’s womb. It’s an inheritance passed down from generations to generations. It’s in our DNA. It’s that thing that makes us feel more important than others. It’s that thing that makes us feel we deserve better than others. It’s that thing that makes us strive for the best in life. We see it in other people and we emulate it. The dictionary describes it as self-esteem or self-importance. If you like you can call it self-respect or self-worth. It’s all the same meaning. Some of us have it more than others.
As we travel through the journey of life, we’ve acquired it as a skill. We have fanned it into flame beyond God’s original intention for self-esteem and we have turned into pride. We have turned up that self-respect a notch and we have pumped up ourselves above everybody else, way beyond it should be. We view ourselves as bigger, better, smarter or richer than others. We cherish ourselves much more than we cherish the people in our lives. We are self-focused, self-centred and self-conceited. We have turned ourselves into the god of our lives and we hardly ever listen to anybody else in our lives. Pride is not a good attribute to have. It’s not a good thing to acquire or to cherish. It actually leads to one’s downfall.
Lord Jesus help me to grow in the awareness that you are really my sustenance and nobody else.
Help me to continuously increase in the recognition that only you can make me become somebody in life.
Help me to rest in your strength as I realize that I am weak in my flesh.
I pray that I may be solely and wholly committed to my walk with you all the days of my life.
I pray that I may be wholly contented with my life with you for the rest of my life.
I pray that I may not turn away from the path of righteousness for your namesake.
I pray that the devil will not have a chance to sift me from the kingdom of our heavenly father.
I pray that my reliance in you may grow deeper today and that my assurance in you may grow wider.
I pray that my faith in you may grow stronger and my zeal for you may grow bigger.
I pray that I may continue to rely on your wisdom and I will no longer lean on my own understanding.
I pray that I may yield to your instructions at all times and make you first in all that I do.
I spend hundreds of hours every month writing, editing and managing this website. If you have found any comfort, support or guidance in this work, please consider donating. Your donation will go along way in keeping this site running.

Forgiveness is not always easy most especially when you have to forgive yourself. It may be easy to forgive others when you do not see them every day but you cannot run away from yourself and this makes it harder. But however hard this is for you, you have to let bygone be bygone and you have to embrace God’s love in order to move forward.
We have all been through those moments when you wish you hadn’t said that or you hadn’t done that and it may be difficult to move forward from the mistakes we have made. In those moments when you are finding it difficult to let go of the shame you have caused, you may need to turn to God for help, comfort and consolation because your mistakes are all part o your learning curve in life.
I watched a Christian leader recently recounted his sins to some of the people he leads. With his head bowed and his voice shaken over what he thinks is an unforgivable offence, he was finding it difficult to come to terms with what he had done wrong. At the end of his confession was a piece of information even more shocking, he was going to step down from his position as a leader and he had already told the church council about it. I am who God says I am. I am God’s special child. I am a treasure in heaven. I am God’s beloved. I am perfect in His eyes. Believe it or not but these declarations are true. These are the way God feels about you. These are the things God says about you and these biblical declarations are what you should regularly declare over yourself. They will help you stay in the course of your true identity in God. They will help bring your mind back to God, build up your faith in God and align you with your real identity in God.
These Biblical declarations are like those daily doses of vitamins you need to stay healthy in life. They require nothing but your daily commitment to shifting your focus from distractions of this world, setting your mind on God’s word and speaking over yourself what God says about you in order for you to achieve all the things your heart ever desires.
I have been a Christian all my life. I thought I was doing alright with God until I had a personal visitation from the Lord. He revealed to me the intentions of my heart and the hypocrisy in my behaviour. Whilst I attended church regularly, spoke in Christianese fluently, dressed like a saint and followed the commandments as much as I could; it was nothing but the practise of a religion. Although I professed to be a born again Christian, I did not wholeheartedly followed Christ. The solution was clear to my dilemma, I was in dire need of a personal revival!
Psalm 85:6 Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
As a Christian, our lives should reflect Christ’s in all that we do and in any place that we find ourselves. We ought to turn our backs on compromising situations and make a stand for Christ. Our behaviours ought to speak louder than mere words. I have prayed for the forgiveness of my sins and for a change of heart, a heart that is fully aligned with God’s heart. I hope you will join me in that quest for a personal revival.

Those were his words to me. This person who is like a father to me. This person I look up to and glean wisdom from regularly. He was disappointed in me for making a mistake. Those words broke my heart. They hung over my head for weeks! I tried to make amends for my mistake but he wouldn’t accept my apology. Oh! I was disappointed. So disappointed that my heart hurt so badly.
He was not the kind of person I would ever want to disappoint in any way. He was not the kind of person I expected would ever say such a thing to me either. Not now and not ever. Having lost my father at the age of five, I looked up to him as a father. He mentored me in some areas of my life and then I blew it. I expected a lot from him just as he expected more from me. I expected some grace and some care from him but his words said otherwise. Continue reading “8 Days Biblical Declarations for You When Feeling Disappointed”→
At the point of great persecution, Jesus was abandoned and betrayed by those closest to him. One of his closest disciples betrayed him. One of his best allies denied ever knowing him. The other ten disciples fled from the scene without any trace. And those followers? they were nowhere to be found!
Jesus the saviour, Emmanuel the healer, the comforter trapped in the human body yet free in his mind, burned in his flesh with pain and wounded in his heart by betrayal and abandonment! How could he have been so betrayed by those closest to him? Where did he do wrong?
It is one of the horrible incidents anybody could ever experience in life. But Jesus Christ endured it so that you can have victory when you go through it in life. He was a righteous man who endured condemnation to death on the cross (1 Peter 3:18). He had all the power and authority to stop injustice being done to him but he didn’t react nor did he respond to any of it. Instead, he submitted himself willingly to abuse, insults, hurt, pain, rejection, and condemnation from people.
It may surprise you to know that the same people who praised him with shouts of Hosanna deserted him and mocked him on the cross. He didn’t do it all in vain however, he did it for a reason. He did it for you and me so that we can have victory when we experience condemnation in many areas of our lives. This should give you solace when feeling condemned, rejected and hurt by people. This realisation helped me a while back when I was condemned, rejected and eventually thrown out of a community. Continue reading “7 Biblical Declarations For You When Feeling Condemned by People”→
Nobody is above tests in life. We all must go through it.
In fact, you would have written different tests in school throughout your childhood and all the way through to the university level in your adolescent. There is always one test or the other to write in order to progress from one class to another and the end result usually amounts to some level of academics achievement.
Your Life is not dissimilar to your educational experience. It is in different stages and it comes with different tests. In order to progress from one stage to another, there are different tests to write and those you must pass them. This is just the way God created the human being life cycle.
These tests are usually in the form of trials and tribulations. They often come unexpectedly and if you are unaware of them and unprepared for them, they will catch you off guard and you may fail them. When you fail these tests in your life, you will remain in one life cycle not moving forward, not achieving anything, not finding fulfilment nor purpose until you pass your tests.
I had a panic attack recently and it gave me an insight into what most people who suffer from anxiety, fear of the future and Monday blues go through. I didn’t know what was happening to me at the time but it felt like my mind was going to pop right out of my chest. My chest was tight and I had very little strength in my body. My mind was numb and my brain was hurting badly. I thought I was going to run mad. I wanted to get through to the people around me but nobody picked up their calls. Revival is the renewal of the mind and the transformation of lives in a society. It doesn’t just happen, it starts from individuals. It starts with having a mindset for a true change and being persistent in prayers for a touch from the Lord. That is what we have been praying for in my church and it has somehow extended to me personally.
In my quest for an intimate relationship with the Lord and sending regular prayers for a personal revival to heaven, I have noticed some events have taken place in my life and these I believe are critical to a Christian journey into personal transformation in Christ.
Every now and again I hear someone say to another person, can I pick your brains on something? and off they go to reason together, to share ideas that are beneficial to each other. Isn’t it interesting that we sometimes depend on other people’s ideas and opinions about something?
The marketing experts know how best to convince us to buy those products and we trust them because we know that they are the experts, they have the full knowledge of the products, they have possibly carried out their tests, surveys and analysis on this product and so we trust them to give us the best of what’s on offer. Come away with me. Let us go to a quiet place and rest for a while (Mark 6:31-33).
I recently resigned from my day job, albeit abruptly and almost immediately, I started to fill in my free time with activities; researching for new roles, updating my CV, applying for jobs and doing everything else that was ignored during my employment. Now I know as a child of God that my life is in His hands and I believe that my steps are ordered by Him but Not once did I pause to think that the Lord must have ALLOWED my day job to end abruptly for a reason in this season. However, in a hiatus moment, the Lord reached out and said to me, come away with me…. there’s a reason I allowed that employment to end abruptly. There’s a reason for this free time. I need to show you something and I need you to pay close attention. Continue reading “Enjoy Your Monday Moments with Christ”→
We tend to be friends with certain people in life. We gravitate towards those we think we can trust, those we share common ideas and ideals of life, those we are alike in nature and those we like to get on with. And then we stay away from those with whom we have nothing in common, we neglect those we see as lower than us in social class or status, and we cast aside those who we think we cannot gain anything from them. What we look out for, what we see and think in choosing the people in our lives have been warped with selfishness and wrong motives. We are failing to see and embrace a vital lesson in the life of Jesus who was intentional in his choice of disciples. We are failed to see vital lessons from biblical narratives of relationships and friendships. So, who are the unusual types of friends and acquaintances we need in our lives who will be instrumental to us fulfilling our God-given assignments on earth? Feeling hopeless? There is hope in the God of all creations. He called forth light and darkness disappeared. He parted the sea and dry ground appeared. He called forth all plants out of the grounds and He made all kinds of animals from the depths of the seas. There is nothing impossible for him to do. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever. He delivered slaves out of captivity. He gives the wanderer a home and settles the lonely in a family. Continue reading “8 Days of Declaring Hope In God In a Hopeless Situation.”→
Do you remember the movie “In pursuit of happyness”? It was acted by Will Smith and his son Jaden Smith. It was about a husband whose wife left him because she could no longer cope with the financial instability in their family. It was also about a father who did not allow himself to be limited by abject poverty or rejection but he tried all that he could to secure of his son and that of himself. At the end of that story the man became rich and he went on to help other people become rich too.
Life is often too busy with activities that we forget to be truly happy. We forget that happiness is part of life and it needs nurturing, it needs cultivating, it needs intentional pursuit of it. With happiness we can fully function in the world because it makes the world go round and a happy mind lives a contented happy life. When we intentionally pursue happiness we are choosing to pursue our inheritance in Christ and we have every right to claim it regularly using God’s Word.
Happiness can come alive for us if we make it a point of duty to speak it into existence first thing in the morning in our daily lives. It will cheer up the heart, lightens up the mood, and it makes doing our daily job easier than we can ever imagine. Happiness attracts the right people, it opens great doors you have never imagined and it will take you places you have not planned in your year.
Let us Speak it over ourselves for as often as we say wish one another a Happy New year. Declare it into your life until it affects positive changes in your world. Speak happiness over your life in alignment with God’s word for your New year goals and it will activate your desire for the best year ever. God I thank you for the greatest gift of all time; Jesus Christ who saves all from all sins. If it were not for Christ, I would have died in my sins. I would have perished with this world. Thank you for the gift of life and for your breath in our lungs. Thank you for entrusting us with the precious life you have given us. Many times we take this life for granted but you are gracious and patience with us all. You continue to love and support us in spite of our negligence of life. Thank you God for the ability to function when all things are dysfunctional. Thank you for the broken heart mended, for the sickly body healed and for the downcast spirit lifted.
Humility is not one of the Christian character traits we often see in people these days. Everybody is self-centred and self-focused. In fact, we are often encouraged to take pride in ourselves, to put ourselves forward for that promotion and to take pride in our achievements. Yet the message of Christ is that we completely humble ourselves, think of others first and be the servant of all if we want to be the greatest amongst all. It’s Easter Sunday and I recount the day I accepted Jesus Christ the saviour into my life. Before this day, I was still a sinner. Even though I grew up in a Christian home, I went through all the motion of praying, fasting, reading my Bible and going to church regularly. I even said the salvation prayer at some point in my teenage years but living the Christian life never really did sink into my mind.
I remember quite clearly the day I cried out to Jesus Christ to save me. I was drowning in sorrow, guilt and shame. I was depressed and going through a really rough time in all areas of my life. I was rejected by family and friends and nobody seemed to want to have anything to do with me. I had been bruised and knocked down emotionally and battered physically which led to my suffering from a low self-esteem. Continue reading “Accept Jesus Christ As Your Lord and Saviour”→
Temptations will always come when you least expect it and it comes in variety of ways. Jesus was tempted with food when he was hungry. David was tempted with sexual lust during his leisure time. Eve was tempted with getting wisdom whilst working in the garden of Eden. Joseph was tempted while in prison and Judas Iscariot was tempted with money in ministry. The devil will always find a way to tempt you. You cannot escape it. If he tempted Jesus Christ the Messiah, he will most likely tempt you his follower. Some relationships are not meant to be but we are meant to be at peace with all men.
I have had some turbulence in my past relationships. Some of those relationships were very dear to my heart but the enemy managed to infiltrate into our lives and he turned beautiful unions sour. Had I paid more attention to the word of God, then would I have been more vigilant and better prepared to handle difficult situations that arose against us. The truth is, God has warned us in his word to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8. If I don’t do what I should have done in the first place as a child of God, then I will be giving the devil a chance to attack my relationships.
Apostle Paul said; “we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12). I have since come to the realisation that we are not dealing with the physical human being when we engage with people but that we are engaging with a spiritual being and we need to be proactive in prayers by regularly declaring God’s peace with his love over each relationships. When we do this, we deal with difficult situations that could have occurred in the physical before it ever happens in the spiritual.
