Speak Forth Your Desires With God’s Word

Desires! We all have them. You know, those things we strongly wish for. Those things we set our hearts on, yearn for and long for, those things we want to come forth and come to past in our lives. Either starting a new business, learning new things, getting married, changing the world, living holy above sin, overcoming temptations, getting through one life challenge or the other, or winning life’s battles. You will always have heart desires and whatever your desires are, you have got to learn to speak them forth with the word of God.

The word of God is the word of truth. It renews mind and transforms lives. It teaches, informs and instructs you on what to do. When you speak God’s word over your desires, you in effect align your thoughts, your will and your desires with God’s plans for your life. You in effect surrender yourself under the leadership of the Almighty God. When you speak His word out loud and you confess positive over your desires repeatedly, the word finds its place in your heart, it work its way into your mind until it is deeply rooted, it transforms you gradually and it comes alive for you.

For as long as your desires are good and not for evil, they are from the God of love who gives good and perfect gifts (James 1:17) to his children and this God has not given his children the spirit of timidity that hides godly desires. Instead God has given you power, might, the spirit of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). In order to live the abundant life Christ promised his brothers and sisters (John 10:10), you need to dig deep into God’s word, accept the truth it offers and allow it to do its work in you and over you. When you do these things, your desires will be perfectly aligned with God’s will for your life and you must fan into flames the gifts, the skills you need for your desires to come alive and glorify God.

It is not good enough that you have desires that are stored away in your heart. Hiding your desires in your heart without doing anything about it is wishful thinking. God is ready to work and walk with you in fulfilling your heart desires and the best thing to do for yourself is to partner with God in bringing forth these desires.

So are you ready to bring alive your desires? Then start to speak the word of God over your desires and see them manifest in your life.

Give Thanks to God In The Highest

Thanksgiving is the remedy for sadness, discontentment, complaints and for when things are bad. It shifts your focus from the trouble at hand and places it on the solution provider. Instead of being focused on the problems at hand, King David never ceased from giving thanks to God who delivered him, forgave his sins and gave him victory over his enemies. It is good for you to give thanks to God for all he has done for you also.

Give thanks to God in the highest who controls the affairs of man on earth. He sees all things and he knows all things. He created all things and he is above all beings. Give thanks to God who sees to it that there are seasons and times on earth. He changes things on earth in the spiritual realm even when it seems like things are not moving forward. Give thanks to God in the highest who sends his angels to fight your battles for you even when life seems tough. Continue reading “Give Thanks to God In The Highest”

Thank God for Jesus!

Some gifts are more than just a gift. This was the slogan ending the recent advert by John Lewis. It was in collaboration with Elton John who was seen sitting by his piano playing and singing a song. As he sang he journeyed through the memory lane and reminisced on his life and his career throughout the years, from adulthood down to his childhood and when his mum gave him his first piano as a Christmas gift. This advert makes me think of Jesus Christ whom the heavenly father gave to the world as the perfect gift. Continue reading “Thank God for Jesus!”

Leave Your Comforts and Be Humble

Every now and again I leave the comfort of my home to babysit or house sit for somebody who is in desperate need of help. Whilst it gives me great pleasure to help others, it can be such an inconvenience when I don’t meet the same comfort I left behind.

I remember putting a complaint forward to the Lord about this one day and his answer was; “the same way you have left your comforts and made yourself inconvinient for others is the same way I have caused others to adjust their lives and inconvinient themselves for you whenever you’re in need of help”. Continue reading “Leave Your Comforts and Be Humble”

Have An Attitude of Gratitude

I love the hymn song; Count your blessings written by Johnson Oatman Junior. You have probably sang it in church or at home or perhaps you’ve heard someone else sang it. It’s a powerful song that calls humanity to show some attitude of Gratitude even when things aren’t going so well, focus less on those things and choose to see the many blessings that has come your way. Continue reading “Have An Attitude of Gratitude”

Humble Yourself First

Christ said it that “whoever wants to be greatest must be a servant” – Matthew 20:26. This simply means to humble yourself first and foremost if you want to be great among others. And if you want a change for good in your life, ask the Lord to start from your heart. Mother Theresa is honoured and well loved today because she humbled herself. She did not count herself to be above the lepers whom she cared for, instead, she moved her home to be among them and she served them.

It was the heart of Saul that the Lord first changed before he became King Saul. The Lord first dealt with pride in King Nebuchadnezzar’s heart before he was restored to his throne after having been humbled by God to live like an animal. Saul’s heart was touched on his way to Damascus before he became Paul, an ardent follower of Christ and the preacher of the gospel of good news. It was also Zacchaeus’s heart that the Lord first changed before he repented of his sins, decided to give back everything he fraudulently collected from people and he followed Jesus. Pray for a Heart of Humility

In my quest to be Christ-like these days, I have found myself saying prayers for a heart of humility. Whilst I believe this is a start to my personal revival, I also believe this is a prayer everybody must engage with. Because everything really begins from the heart. Continue reading “Pray for a Heart of Humility”

Prepare Your Heart: Be Humble

We all know the end time is near and this is the time to seek for personal and national revival. If the Lord was to come today, will your heart be ready? Will he find your heart as humble as that of a child? If he were to search through your attitude and behaviour today, will any of your actions and intentions be anything as close as to being Christ-like? Would the Lord need to perform a surgery on you? Would he have to remove stubbornness and pride from you in exchange for a heart of humility? Continue reading “Prepare Your Heart: Be Humble”

The Message of Christ: Be Humble

Humility is not one of the Christian character traits we often see or find in people these days. Everybody is self-centered and self-focused. In fact, the media often encourages us to take pride in ourselves, to put our best foot forward with no consideration for others, to fight for that promotion above others and to take pride in our achievements. But this is not the message of Christ. Continue reading “The Message of Christ: Be Humble”

Be the Light in The World

Are you being the light in your sphere of influence? Jesus said, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:1). I heard a story of a church worker who summoned the courage to politely correct her boss at work not to swear in the name of Jesus anymore. The rest of her Christian co-worker reprimanded her for doing such a foolish thing. She also thought she was going to be fired after all the talks. To her surprise, she got an apology email from the boss and he also promised not to swear in the name of Jesus in the office anymore. The rest is history after that incident. Give Thanks to God for Answered Prayers

Give thanks to God who always answers prayers. No matter how small, how big or how ridiculous those prayers you raised up to God may seem, God has released his answers to each one of them. He is a God who always answers prayers. Some of those answers may be in silence which means: “Wait! I am working things out”, or you may get a resounding “Yes! in which case you get an express response”, or it could be a blatant No! which means that what you have asked God for is either not a part of his plan for your life at that particular point in time or it might be detrimental to your life. Whichever one of those answers you may have received in recent years are answers and they are worth giving thanks to God for them. Continue reading “Give Thanks to God for Answered Prayers”

Adoration for Jesus

It isn’t all the time that we focus on self. Sometimes we must focus on God, his son and the Holy Spirit. We must look up to heaven and sing a new song to God. We must serenade the Triune God with words of adoration. God loves to hear from you that you love him as much as he also loves you.

Here’s my little way of serenading Jesus with words of adoration. Join me to adore Jesus with the following

Monday Adoration Declaration for Jesus

Big brother Jesus!

I adore you Jesus, the lion of the Tribe of Judah.
I admire your love for others, my big brother.
I love the way you look out for me and watch over me
I love your strong arms of protection you wrap around me
I love your big shoulders upon which I lean on to cry
You have a heart of gold filled with compassion for the lost.
You have penetrating eyes that search out every intention of the heart.

Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding
Thank you for gentle rebuke when I am being naughty
Thank you for your never ending love that you shower over me
Thank you for always being present to wipe away my tears
Thank you for imparting knowledge of the father into me at all times
Thank you for being such a good though tough example to follow
Big brother Jesus, you are my hero

Affirm Your Adoption Into God’s Family

Did you know you were adopted into God’s family through Christ Jesus? It is National Adoption week and it gives me great pleasure to announce to you that you are one special individual chosen by God to be a part of a bigger family. Contrary to your belief or what you might have experienced in life, you are not alone. You have a complete family of God who loves and cares for you. You have brothers and sisters in Christ who you can reach out to and do life with. Continue reading “Affirm Your Adoption Into God’s Family”

SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD OVER YOURSELF

When we speak the word of God over ourselves, we align ourselves to God’s word over us and our household. The reward of this is that it renews our minds and it gives us fresh perspectives. It transforms our lives and changes our world in accordance to God’s plans and purposes for his children. Each Bible declarations will put you in a perfect alignment with God’s promises. The more you speak the word out loud, it enters your ears, registers on your heart and it begins to work its ways in your life.

  1. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places through Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). I am chosen to be in Christ before the foundation of the world so that I can be holy and blameless on judgement day before the Father (Ephesians 1:4).
  2. I was predestined for adoption as a daughter of God by the Father through Jesus Christ for the good pleasure of the Father’s will (Ephesians 1:5).
  3. The Father accepts me into his family. I am his beloved (Ephesians 1:6).

Overcome Temptations

If the devil tempted Jesus Christ at his most vulnerable moments, he will tempt you, his follower. Temptations come when you least expect it. An innocent act here, a little white lie there and by the time you know it, you are neck deep in it. Even when you keep yourself pure, the devil will find a way to tempt you. Healing for the Hurting Christians

I was going through my inbox one day when I stumbled upon an old email from a friend. The email content contained a long hurting conversation with my friend. We were both offended by each others behaviour and felt hurt towards each other, yet none of us was willing to back down. My friend and I have since reconciled our differences but for many years before our reconciliation, my hurt was buried deep within my heart and I carried on with life as if it things were good. Time they say heals pain, it was not until the cause of my pain resurfaced in an old email did I realise that I was still hurting. Thankfully the Holy Spirit intervened and I received my complete healing. Continue reading “Healing for the Hurting Christians”

Healing for the Heartbroken Christians

I remember the day my heart was broken over past sins. Before that day, I was stubborn, proud, selfish, immature and I made hasty decisions. I didn’t know I was all these but a time came when God convicted me of these sins and my heart was completely broken. I was overwhelmed by God’s mercy and how without condemnation or rejection, he steadily broke my heart for what breaks his heart. Though my sins were exhumed from deep within, God healed my broken heart with his forgiveness and his great love. Continue reading “Healing for the Heartbroken Christians”

Seek for the Peace of Mind

Everybody wants peace of mind but nobody is actively seeking this peace. With headlines filled with terrorist news and breaking news that fuels fear in the heart of mind leading to aggravations, financial downturn affecting people’s finances enslaving them to money making machines, public unrest and political disorder creating worries in homes that leads to domestic assault, gun crimes and knife crimes creating false confidence in the heart of the youth; nobody seems to know the time to seek for the peace of mind. Build the “Goodness” Character

Doing good for others surely has its reward although its reward must not be your motivation but to fulfil the will of him that sent you in being the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). I can never forget my return from climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in aid of Compassion UK in January 2017. I didn’t expect anything in return but upon my return from the trip, I was pleasantly surprised to have read from local newspapers who had carried the news about the fundraising project. It did not stop there but we went on to have an interview about it all on Jesus House radio. When I extended myself a little bit to help others, its news spread across the board. Continue reading “Build the “Goodness” Character”

Speak the Word Whilst Waiting on God in Prayer

As a Christian, I do not expect to keep waiting on God in prayer yet keep meeting with cold silence from my heavenly father. If I ask my earthly father for a gift, he will most certainly find a way to give it to me without delay. Why then does God delay in responding to my prayers? What must I do if my patience is waning, negative emotions silently creeping in, worry, doubt and anxiety settling in? Does delayed answer to prayers mean God is not happy with me? Are there spiritual forces keeping my prayers at bay? has God not heard my prayers at all? What can I do whilst waiting on God for a response? Continue reading “Speak the Word Whilst Waiting on God in Prayer”

Boost Your Self-Confidence.

If you were to go for an interview, career coaches will tell you to speak to yourself in the mirror or talk to friends in order to boost your confidence. The same principle applies when walking into a room full of strangers; life coaches will tell you, speak to yourself before you get to the venue, walk tall, make eye contact with somebody in the room and smile so that you may appear confident. In the kingdom of God, however, you do not need to fake it till you make it, you can simply claim the truth God has said about you and believe that your confidence will shoot through the roof. New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ

Congratulations you are born anew. The Christian journey is exciting but there are times when you may need to affirm your identity in Christ in order to win the battle ahead (Mathew 4:1-11). Though you have a new identity in the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus, the prince of darkness will not relent in trying to steal from you, kill treasures within and destroy wherever he gains access. You need to imprint on your heart that you no longer belong to the world but you belong to the Kingdom of God.  You no longer belong to darkness, you are now a child of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5). The race of life set before you (Hebrews 12:1) may sometimes get overwhelming and the enemy may come trying to steal treasures within (John 10:10), all you need is to reach out to the word of God and affirm your identity.   Continue reading “New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ”

Overcome Sin

Sin is awful and as a new Christian, you might find yourself falling back to old ways of doing things and reasoning. One of the ways to overcome sin is to speak the word of God over that situation until it transforms you and you are completely set free. The Bible says if anyone is in Christ, old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that you can let go of the past and you can assume your new position in Christ. Everything has been made new. The Bible also says that anybody who believes in Christ overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), you are an overcomer through Christ. Continue reading “Overcome Sin”

Declare Your Authority in Christ

You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalms 8:5-6

Your royal highness, you are crowned with glory and majesty, you are empowered to rule and reign like His Royal Highness in the Heavens, the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords. Your dominion on earth is second to none, your authority and power over all other creations is a masterclass. May all the fish of the sea obey your call whenever you call upon them as they obeyed Jesus Christ, may the fowl of the air attend to your request promptly without delay, may every living thing moving upon the face of the earth heed your call as they heeded unto Noah. Declare God’s Blessings Over Your Life

God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Genesis 1:28.

You are too blessed to be stressed. You are blessed by God, the maker of the heavens and the earth. The owner of all things on earth and in the heavens has released his blessings upon you and you must prosper. Everything you need to prosper has been released to you by your creator. You have skills, gifts and abilities of a God to do exceedingly well on whatever you set your heart to do on the earth. God has blessed you with immeasurable blessings and he has also commanded you to put to practice his blessings upon your life. Continue reading “Declare God’s Blessings Over Your Life”

Declare Your New Identity In God

God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
Genesis 1:26 (MSG).

You are made in the image of God, to be like God, to reign like God reflecting his nature, to be responsible for every other living being on the earth, to speak goodness into existence, to bring creativity alive, to give life where death lies, to ring the truth where lies have become the second nature. You are made in the image of God to reflect his nature, to bring order into a chaotic world, to cast light upon a shadow and be the light in the darkness. You are created to make good and lovely things out of nothingness, to be creative and be imaginative, and you have been empowered to do all of these and more, by the same God who made you. Declare Yourself A New Life In Christ

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3

You always hide behind the church. Somebody once said to me. At least I have the church to hide, where do you hide? I responded. That statement wasn’t meant to be a compliment or a pleasant statement, the person who said it was throwing a shade at my faith. That statement was an attempt to throw me off my faith, an attempt to discourage me or to cause me to lose my faith altogether. But I was quick to understand where that shade was coming from. It was coming from the pit of hell to derail me. Thankfully the situation that led to this statement been thrown at me only made my faith stronger in the Lord. Have A Changed Heart

And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.” Ezekiel 36:26-

Do you remember when you first fell in love? Did it not feel like having a new heart completely? It’s a feeling of unexplainable joy, a feeling of excitement, a feeling of newness. How about when you first gave your life to Jesus? did you not feel that something was different? At least you must have heard family and friends say to you that something is different about you, right? That is because you had a change of heart from the Lord. Continue reading “Have A Changed Heart”

Declare All Things New

“Behold, I am making all things new”. Revelation 21:5

Behold I will do a new thing now, it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in desert.
Behold I will do a new thing now, it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in desert.

Today is a new day. This is a new start. Today is a new day to forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13). Start afresh. Old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is a year of joy. This a year of accomplishment. This is a year of greatness. This is a year of success. This is a year of peace. This is a year of hope. This is a year filled with a brighter future. Continue reading “Declare All Things New”

Thank God for New Beginnings!

Most people often see the start of a New Year as a fresh start. We write new goals, new vision, missions and objectives for the new beginning. And we hope for the best to accomplish tangible things in the year. Congratulations! You made it into the New Year alive. Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness in your life. Shout it out from your lungs and let the whole world know the Lord is good and his mercies endures forever.

Many people wish they would see and make it to the new year but they did not make it. You made it into the new year not because of your doing; you made it into the year not because of your good deeds nor for your good look, you made it because the Lord God is gracious to you. He showers you with his mercies, he sustains and helps you in all your doings. What could have swallowed you up in the year 2016 only served as a conduit to a new you? Today you are alive, you are still standing and you can hope for a better tomorrow. Continue reading “Thank God for New Beginnings!”

Declare God’s Provision Over Yourself.

The Lord Jesus is indeed your shepherd. He’s a good shepherd. He will not suffer his sheep. He always looks out for his sheep. He calls out to his sheep and his sheep his hear his voice and they obey.

A good shepherd sees to it that his sheep lack nothing. Jesus is a good shepherd and he will see to your needs. The Bible says Jesus is a good shepherd, his sheep hear his voice and they obey. Not everybody is Jesus’ sheep. Not everybody recognizes his voice, not everybody obeys his commandments and certainly not everybody recognizes him as their shepherd, and not everybody follows him. Speak the Word of Assurance for Your Salvation

There are moments in a Christian life when doubts set in and he needs an assurance of his salvation. Soon after he became a Christian in college, author C S Sprout wrote a book titled; Can I lose my salvation? he shared his experience where he was advised by an elderly woman to “drive a spiritual stake in the ground right now.” He needed to make sure his conversion was forever. You may not have received a sound advice like C S Sprout when you accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour but as time goes by, you may find life happen and you begin to wonder and ask yourself some serious questions; Am I a Christian? Is my salvation real? Continue reading “Speak the Word of Assurance for Your Salvation”

Be The Salt of The Earth.

Did you know you are the salt of the earth? You have been cleansed through the blood of Jesus and preserved by God for a special assignment on earth. You have been given the power to transform lives and to be the solution provider the world is waiting upon. This is what Jesus said, ‘You are the salt of the earth’. Therefore there is no confusion or objection surrounding your identity in God and in this world. Continue reading “Be The Salt of The Earth.”

Overcome Feelings of Regret, Guilt and Shame

Judas Iscariot suffered a painful regret after his betrayal to Jesus. He was one of the disciples of Jesus who dined and wined with him (Matthew 26:23-25). He was the treasurer of the group (John 12:6). He knew more about Jesus than the outsiders. He knew what Jesus looked like and he was willing to point him out to the chief priests (Mathew 26:14-15, 47-49). But he made a grievous mistake. He sold out and handed an innocent man over to the injustice of men. When he realized the error of his way, it was too late to rectify it. The Bible says that’ Judas Iscariot was gripped with so much remorse that he returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying; ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood’ (Mathew 27:3-5). After the deed was done, he went on and hung himself. Continue reading “Overcome Feelings of Regret, Guilt and Shame”

Be The Star In the World

His word says that Jesus is the bright and morning star. His star drew people to him at an early age. His star brought him the most expensive and covetous gifts like a baby. His star spread the good news of the arrival of the saviour on earth as an infant. His star guided the three wise men to his birthplace. His star informed king Herod of the most powerful king on earth. His star is powerful. Continue reading “Be The Star In the World”

Declare Your Identity in Christ

Do you know who you are in Christ? Can you honestly accept the truth in God’s word about your true identity? God knows who you are and He calls you what He sees not what the world sees in you. Your life can never remain the same again when you agree with what God says in his word about you. Why not try changing your words from saying, “I don’t think I can make it”, to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Continue reading “Declare Your Identity in Christ”

Purify Your Thoughts

Do you control your thoughts or do your thoughts control your life? Somebody once shared a testimony with the public. She said she has a wild imagination. One day she was driving on a motorway and her imaginations ran wild. Before she knew it, she was driving herself towards a ditch before she got a hold of herself. God saved her that day. Go and Do The Impossible.

How can this be? How can you bring a baby into the world when the father has deserted you? How can you forgive those who hurt you when the memory grips you with pain every time you remember? How can you focus on new beginnings when you lack the strength to move forward from past experiences. Continue reading “Go and Do The Impossible.”

Declare Your Ways Smooth and Straight

Did you ever wonder why some people’s ways and paths in life seems to be quite smooth and straightforward? Have you experienced that feelings of confusion on which is the way to go? Have you ever asked yourself, where am I headed in life? Everybody claims to know the way but these ways often lead to sadness, rejection, frustration, condemnation and eventually death. There are so many choices to choose from but there is only one true way, the way of the Word (John 1:1, Psalm 119:9). Continue reading “Declare Your Ways Smooth and Straight”

Protect Yourself From Sicknesses and Diseases

When I see the blood I will pass over you (Exodus 12:13). When sicknesses or any terrible diseases see the blood of Jesus on you, they must pass over. The blood of the lamb was shed for your healing. Christ already paid the price for your well-being. You have a new covenant of peace and well-being in Christ.

You no longer need to pay for the consequences of past sins. The devil no longer needs to accuse you of ignorance or negligence before the father. You can shut the access door against your health in the devil’s face and you can tell the devil that by the virtue of your association with Christ, you have the power to walk over scorpions and serpents and to crush them, from now on nothing shall by any means hurt you. Declare God’s Provision Over Your Life

Are you hungry? Try His word. Not to eat the sheets of the Bible but to meditate on it when hungry and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It is quite filling and very refreshing. More often than not this has happened to me. I had been hungry, and instead of eating some food, I would pick up the Bible to read and all of a sudden my hunger would disappear. Declare God’s Presence Into Your Life

The Lord Jesus Christ is Emmanuel. God with us. Whatever you are going through, God is with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. He will not leave you comfortless (John 14:20). His hands are not too short to save and his ears are not dull to hear your heart cry (Isaiah 59:1).

Conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of man for the main purpose to save the children of God from their sins (Mathew 1:21) and to set free from slavery (Romans 6:18). He came to the world, not for his own selfishness but he selflessly gave up his throne in heaven just to be with you on earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14), to show you the way to the father’s heart (John 14:6) and to redeem you from the world of slavery (Deuteronomy 15:15). Declare God’s Peace Over Your Life

Is your world rocking with the storms of life? there is #peace in God. He sent his peace to Gideon through his angel, he sent the children of Israel his peace through Gideon. Declare God’s Righteousness Over Yourself

I declare my righteousness is in Christ Jesus. My life has been made right before God. God accepts me. I am safe in the hands of God. I am justified through faith in Christ. I am at peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ. I will live and not die but to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. I will follow his decrees and faithfully keep his laws. I have been made righteous through Christ, therefore, there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death.
