You are the spiritual guide in the homes. You direct, provide and protect your family. You are the first love to a girl child and the first role model to a boy child. It is a privileged role and a divine one. You are a model of a husband, father, and lover. A role comes with no pay, yet it comes with so much pressure that words cannot express. I proudly call you FATHER!
Scriptural Declaration of Faith to Speak over Yourself Daily
Declaration of Faith: I believe God’s word is God’s power and as I speak his words over myself, they give me life, align me with His will for me and they come into existence. Today, I declare God’s word with the confidence that they guide my heart into the peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and they bring to pass my desires in alignment with God’s plan for me. I will not worry nor be anxious about my future. Instead, I will live in peace in my own home and at peace with my neighbours. I declare that I am living at peace when I go out and I am at peace when I come in because Christ the Prince of peace is with me always. I am grateful to God for the peace of God in my life and I will extend it to others as God gives me grace.
Jesus Christ said that man could not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of God’s mouth (Matthew 4:4). That means you cannot sustain life on food and drinks alone, but it must depend on God’s Word. That was how Jesus overcame temptations from Satan. He spoke the Word, Satan fled from him, and angels attended him. God of the universe created the world by speaking His vision for the heavens and the earth into existence. You, too, can do it. You carry the image of the Almighty. So open up your mouth and speak the truth over yourself daily.
Follow in Jesus Christ’s footsteps, meditate on God’s Word, and declare truth over yourself daily. The truth you speak from scriptures will set you free from all kinds of addictions, temptations, or bondage of any sort. It is the shield against every enemy’s fiery arrows targeted at you. These truths will remind you of God’s fatherly love for you, his promises to you, and it will help guide you on the right path.
I am believing that God will turn around this period for your good. I have also been listening to Jonathan McReynolds prayer song and has been a real blessing to friends, I thought I’d share it with you too. It is so powerful and so right for this season and I’m praying it for you. Please, join me and let’s pray together.
10 Biblical Declarations to Encourage and Strengthen the Persecuted Christians
Declaration of faith: I am fighting the good fight of faith with Christ and I will win this battle with him on my side (1 Timothy 6:12).
I remember getting teary-eyed at the hearing of the fate of the persecuted Christians in various countries. I thought of their courage and the boldness they show in the face of adversity. Their lives couldn’t have been far from being different from mine, yet they make a stand for Jesus, even if it leads to death or imprisonment. There are at least over 300 million Christians in this situation, and they go through gruesome persecution with little or no intervention from their neighbours. Their faith in Christ in countries such as Afghanistan, North Korea, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Burkina Faso and, in my birth country, Nigeria means facing being stripped and beaten, isolation and rejection from loved ones, death by a fire while the service is going on in church on a Sunday or life imprisonment, and this keeps increasing every year.
Pray the promises: I thank you, Father, for the gift of prayer and for the grace to approach your throne of mercy. I thank you for you are always ready to hear prayers of the saints. May your will be done as we pray together today. May we experience your love, peace, unity and harmony as we seek your face. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
If you have ever been a fan of acronyms while growing up, you’ll know that they can help you to remember some arduous information you don’t understand, yet you need them to pass your A-levels in secondary school. The Lord’s prayer works similarly. It gives you a model to follow. It’s a guide to use when in communion with the Father. It’s the go-to formula to use when unsure of what to pray and how to pray. It is not to be chanted verbatim, but we can use it to help us pray effectively. It is the simplest yet the most potent form of prayer model to use.
When Christians come together to pray in troubled times, you know it is time to get in on the action using powerful psalms because God always answers when you pray through scriptures. So come, share your favourite Psalm for troubled times and pray against this pandemic with other believers. They’re his words, and his integrity compels him to bring them into existence. They are his bonds, and they do not return to Him void. The Bible says it better “He watches over his words to fulfil it” (Jeremiah 1:12). When you bring his words back to him in prayer, he rises to fulfil his promises.
I thank you, Father, for this beautiful Sunday morning. I am awakening to new grace. I am living with your breath solely for this new phase. Your strength in this new age is replacing my weaknesses. With you by my side, I have new ideas for today. Heavenly Father, I thank you for this beautiful day.

Biblical Declarations to Affirm Your Identity in Christ
Declaration of faith: I am who God says I am. I am the child of a great King. I have privileges of sonship with God. God approves me for greatness and I am becoming who He says I am. I am no longer live a life of mediocrity and I am staying focused on my God-given assignment so I can soar high like the eagles.
Have you ever been through a period of mistaken identity when people misjudged, misunderstood and made assumptions about who you are or who you should be? Our loved ones are sometimes guilty of this act. They make this mistake of thinking they know the real you and who you should become, and they are wrong about this, only God knows each person for who he created them to be. Jesus Christ experienced this with his parents too. Mary said to him, “Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you” to which Jesus answered them, saying, “did you not know I had to be in my Father’s house?“. Jesus knew his identity and the best way to deal with a mistaken identity is to affirm who you are to those who do not really know you.
When my flesh burn with desires for things of this world and my stomach churns with hunger for food to feed my flesh.
When my throat is dry and it thirst for the temporary waters of this world and my eyes lust for the worlds beauty with the power that it gives.
When my will is weak to fight off peer pressures and my strength is failing to flee from this world’s pleasure. Lord, I pray that your word will prevail in me.
Do not let my past dictate my future.
Do not let my present life unfold with ungodly features.
Make my future align with your plans and purpose for me.
I give thanks to God in the highest.
Who delivered me from sadness and he gives me joy everlasting
He shifts my focus from trouble and he makes me a solution provider.
He forgave my sins and he gave me freedom to live in abundance.
He gave me victory in battle and turned my life around for the best.
I give thanks to God in the highest for all he has done for me.
I give thanks to God in the highest for he controls the affairs of man on earth. He sees all things and he knows all things.
He created all things and he is above all beings.
I give thanks to God who changes times and seasons without asking for anybody’s permission.
When life appears stagnant he is moving things forward in the real life.
I give thanks to God in the highest who sends his angels to fight my battles
When life is tough he gives grace to endure. Continue reading “Giving Thanks to God In The Highest”→
I adore you Jesus, the lion of the Tribe of Judah. I admire your love for others, my big brother. I love the way you look out for me and watch over me I love your strong arms of protection you wrap around me I love your big shoulders upon which I lean on to cry You have a heart of gold filled with compassion for the lost. You have penetrating eyes that search out every intention of the heart.
Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding Thank you for gentle rebuke when I am being naughty Thank you for your never ending love that you shower over me Thank you for always being present to wipe away my tears Thank you for imparting knowledge of the father into me at all times Thank you for being such a good though tough example to follow Big brother Jesus, you are my hero.
I have had a few episodes of depression in my life and each time I have prevailed with God on my side. stronger mentally and spiritually with God on my side. One thing is certain when you fight depression with God, you come out from under that dark and heavy cloud of depression and you will find thepeace from God that surpasses all understanding. You will have a new drive for life, a new drive for your faith and even a drive to help others. It is World mental health day and I am using this platform to encourage anybody out there who is suffering from depression.
I praise you Heavenly Father for your merciful and forgiving nature, You do not forsake nor cast away in our weaknesses or in strength, It is not in your nature to condemn, shun or disown in our lowliest state, In the darkest moment, you are there. You do not turn over your children to the will of their enemies Neither do you make your loved ones a prey for the devil.
It takes courage and a bold step of faith when you turn your back on old ways of living life, choose to confess your sins, repent from your sins, and accept Jesus Christ openly as your Lord and Saviour till eternity comes. Nobody can do these things of their own accord except for those whose eyes have been opened and given the revelation that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord, the redeemer of all sinners and the giver of life.
Staying in faith can be quite a struggle for new Christians. Sometimes we can be easily swayed with words that make us turn our backs on God. Other times we are faced with so much hardship that we run back to our old ways of living life and at other times, we are simply persecuted for turning our backs on religion and embracing a relationship with God. In all our struggle to staying faith in Christ however, backslide from our newly found faith in Christ. Begum Bilquis Sheikh was a new Christian who converted from Islam to Christianity and in her book, I dared to call him father, she narrated her story of family exclusions, community condemnations, death threats and several attempts to dissuade her from her newly found faith in Christ. Her journey to becoming a fully fledged Christian was not at all that smooth. Yet she persisted in her faith and she followed Christ with all her heart, her mind and with all her might. Had she not been convinced of her call to Christ, she would have crumbled under pressure and she would have lost her faith entirely. Continue reading “15 Bible Declarations for New Believers”→
Sin is awful and as a new Christian, you might find yourself falling back to old ways of doing things and reasoning. One of the ways to overcome sin is to speak the word of God over that situation until it transforms you and you are completely set free. The Bible says if anyone is in Christ, old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that you can let go of the past and you can assume your new position in Christ. Everything has been made new. The Bible also says that anybody who believes in Christ overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), you are an overcomer through Christ. Continue reading “Bible Declaration to Overcome Sin”→
Jesus I believe in you is my salvation.
I Believe you set free from bondage and addictions.
I Believe there is no condemnation from you Jesus but love.
Jesus I believe you break the bondage of sin over me and with your grace, I will sin no more.
Jesus I believe in you!
I will no longer trust in my own strength or rely on my understanding nor my good deeds to save me.
I do not believe any other god can save me but you, Jesus Christ.
My friends or family cannot save me and neither can my government save me nor my wealth can save me.
My talent, gifts or abilities cannot save me but only you Jesus can save me. I believe in you Jesus will save me.
To God, you are the sweet aroma of Christ. Through you, the world should have the experience of Christ so that the father may be glorified through the son. You carry a sweet fragrance of Christ in your heart and you ought to spread it to the uttermost part of the earth, allow your aroma to spread forth to the world. Anybody who walks through a beautifully scented garden never remains the same, their sense of smell is heightened as they breathe in the fragrance, their entire being accepts the fragrance, their face lits up, their mood changes and they will most likely carry that scent to wherever they go. Your life should model this experience to the world. Continue reading “I Carry The Sweet Aroma of Christ.”→
Do you know who you are in Christ? Can you honestly accept the truth in God’s word about your true identity? God knows who you are and He calls you what He sees not what the world sees in you. Your life can never remain the same again when you agree with what God says in his word about you. Why not try changing your words from saying, “I don’t think I can make it”, to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Continue reading “Declare Your Identity in Christ”→
Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not deceive one another. (Leviticus 19:11). Thats what the Bible says yet we do it all the time. We will lose count of the amount of times each person lies to someone or deceived them on a daily basis if we were to take a census. Still, God detest lies (Proverbs 6:16-19). It is a plague many people suffer and regardless of what you call it – white lie or a dark lie, a lie is still a lie before God. It steals your joy and peace, wearies the soul, hurts those you love and slowly destroys your health. The moment lies and deception have their claws sunk into the human mind, it is difficult for the tongue to regain its freedom.
Nobody who tells lies will enter heaven(Revelation 21:8, Revelation 21:27,1 Corinthians 6:9-11) unless you ask for forgiveness and you repent of telling lies. Sin hurts us and separates us from God. When we sin, we die a slow death physically and spiritually. You may be suffering from this plague of telling lies and being deceitful. You can ask God for the forgiveness of your sin, repent of this detestable sin, turn away from lying and deception and God will write your name in the book of life.
Let’s Get Started, But…
Before we make declarations, it is key to remember the rules that govern it. If we must make effective pronouncements that yield results, we must adhere to the rules of declarations and say the accompanying prayers. Can you join me in saying the Lord’s Prayer together after making the following declarations? It will seal up your affirmations and carry our hearts desire before God ALMIGHTY. I am so glad we’re on this journey together and I hope these faith-filled declarations will fill you with so much faith, and usher you into forgiveness in Christ with full restoration to your identity.
Prayer of Forgiveness for Telling Lies and Being Deceitful
Father God who forgives the sins of mankind. I come before your throne of mercy with a heavy heart and with humility I seek your forgiveness. Dear God, Forgive me for ever telling lies and being deceitful to people and most importantly to those I love.
My heart is heavy and my conscience is filled with guilt.
I know if I do not confess and repent of my sins you will not hear me.
The Bible says that telling lies and being deceitful is one of the detestable sins before you
Also, one of your commandments say that we should not tell lies (Leviticus 19:11) but I have been disobedient and my conscience is filled with guilt, please forgive me..
I come before you in the name of Jesus and ask for the forgiveness of my sins. Forgive me for all the lies I have ever told anybody.
Forgive me for hiding my sins from you and covering up with excuses thereby grieving the Holy Spirit whom you sent to be my guide and comforter.
Forgive me also for the lies I tell myself thereby opening the doors for the devil to attack my mind and body.
Teach me to speak the truth always and to give honest answer at all times
I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Forgive me for being deceitful in my words and in actions.
I know through your word that nobody who is deceitful will dwell in your house or stand in your presence. Psalm 101:7
I know you destroy those who tell lies and you hate those who are deceitful
Forgive me for hating and hurting others with lies. Proverbs 26:28
Deliver me from telling lies, it wearies my soul and puts me in trouble. Proverbs 17:20, Jeremiah 9:5
Dear God, teach me to speak the truth always. Help me to be honest at all times. Proverbs 24:26
Keep falsehood and lies far from me. Proverbs 30:7, 8
Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me through your law. Psalm 119:29
Keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking lies that I may see many good days. Psalm 34:12-13
Help me to hate deceits and falsehood but to love your law. Psalm 119:163
Establish the truth on my lips and let it endure forever. Proverbs 12:19
This I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
The words we speak can set the course for our future. I declare by Joel Osteen encourages us to speak God’s promises over our lives daily, one for each day of the month. It helps affirm God’s blessings over every area of our lives by declaring faith, hope, and victory over our families, friends and our future. says Joel Osteen
Day 1 – Declaring God’s blessings
I DECLARE God’s incredible blessings over my life. I will see an explosion of God’s goodness, a sudden widespread increase. I will experience the surpassing greatness of God’s favor. It will elevate me to a level higher than I ever dreamed of. Explosive blessings are coming my way. This is my declaration.
Friends! these OMG games on Facebook are fun and quick personality quizzes that tells us who we are based on our current profile. We all want to know the answer to this, right? and it shows us some more answers to those pertinent questions on our minds; who hates or likes us from our contact list? which country should we live in based on our names? which career path to follow based on our facial analysis? and the list goes on.
The truth is that as fun, harmless and sometimes accurate these games are, they couldn’t be far from the truth on who God says we are in Christ.
Memorable Scripture: God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power to overcome obstacles, love to conquer hatred and sound mind to make the right decisions (2 Timothy 1:7).
There are different types of people living with fear in this world. Some are always afraid of death because you don’t want to die young or just yet. You want to enjoy this life and spend eternity on earth if you have your way. To you, life should be forever on earth. Unfortunately, only Christ has the power to eternal life. So all must die to give an account of how you spend your life when God calls you home. Therefore, stop living your life afraid of the fear of death and start to live for Christ so you can give an account that is devoid of fear.
Then, some fall into fear of people now and then because you have exerted your power on human beings. You allow them to make or break you with their power, even though you have the same ability. They control your life in ways that make you fearful of the unknown, afraid for the future and afraid of the danger that looms around. Sometimes, you are scared of past mistakes and their consequences because they will remind you of them. They hold you captive with fear always looming and lurking around in your life. Therefore, you need to fight this fear to live a victorious life in the freedom that Christ bought for you.
Also, something always makes some people afraid. When you are not fearful of the danger in the day, then you’re so scared of the harm in the night. You are living your life in terror all year round. If you continue to live your life with fear and don’t face it head-on with a fight through God’s word, it will control your life forever and stand in the way of the fulfilment of God’s promises in your life.
What are you afraid of? What keeps you up late at night and keeps you turning in your bed? What is that thing that has kept you in fear and held you in bondage for this long? You are a child of the living God, and fear should not have a hold on you. God is your light and salvation (Psalm 27:1). Fear should not cripple you. Christ in you is greater than the fears in your heart (1 John 4:4). You do not have to be afraid of anything.
Fear is the rod of the wicked that should not rest on the lots of the righteous (Psalm 125:3). That rod is for the wicked, not God’s own children. The enemy can release fear on the people who do not have Christ as their Lord and salvation, but he crosses his boundaries when he targets the children of God. You should not give him the right of passage to you. Otherwise, he will go the extra mile and overstep his boundaries.
Imagine if Noah had allowed the fear of impending doom to cripple him from planning for his future after the flood. He would not have been able to listen and yield to God’s instructions to build an ark. He and his household would have perished in flood, and nobody else on earth today would have had the chance to live on earth.
This story tells us that God will protect his own when there is an impending doom on earth. He will instruct them on what to do and help them plan ahead.
We sometimes find ourselves in unsettling situations that causes us to cry, to grieve and to mourn for our misfortunes or disappointments. But at other times when we find ourselves in the middle of an ugly situation, instead of allowing our emotions get the best of us, let us find something good in that we are grateful to God for in this period. Let us find the silver lining in this cloud that will lift up our spirits and helps us be grateful to God. Continue reading “What Are You Grateful For In These Unsettling Times?”→
