Be the Light in The World

Are you being the light in your sphere of influence? Jesus said, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:1). I heard a story of a church worker who summoned the courage to politely correct her boss at work not to swear in the name of Jesus anymore. The rest of her Christian co-worker reprimanded her for doing such a foolish thing. She also thought she was going to be fired after all the talks. To her surprise, she got an apology email from the boss and he also promised not to swear in the name of Jesus in the office anymore. The rest is history after that incident. Give Thanks to God for Answered Prayers

It is good to give thanks to God for answered prayers. Give thanks to the Lord for the things he has done, for what he is doing and for what he is yet to do. Give thanks for he hears when you call on him in prayers and he responds to your requests according to his plans and purposes on earth. Give thanks to the most high for when things appear unreal on earth, this is when things are changing in the spirit realm. Give thanks for when life seem tough,  this is when the heavens are fighting your battles. Continue reading “Give Thanks to God for Answered Prayers”

Adoration for Jesus

It isn’t all the time that we focus on self. Sometimes we must focus on God, his son and the Holy Spirit. We must look up to heaven and sing a new song to God. We must serenade the Triune God with words of adoration. God loves to hear from you that you love him as much as he also loves you.

Here’s my little way of serenading Jesus with words of adoration. Join me to adore Jesus with the following

Monday Adoration Declaration for Jesus

Big brother Jesus!

I adore you Jesus, the lion of the Tribe of Judah.
I admire your love for others, my big brother.
I love the way you look out for me and watch over me
I love your strong arms of protection you wrap around me
I love your big shoulders upon which I lean on to cry
You have a heart of gold filled with compassion for the lost.
You have penetrating eyes that search out every intention of the heart.

Thank you for being so compassionate and understanding
Thank you for gentle rebuke when I am being naughty
Thank you for your never ending love that you shower over me
Thank you for always being present to wipe away my tears
Thank you for imparting knowledge of the father into me at all times
Thank you for being such a good though tough example to follow
Big brother Jesus, you are my hero

Make the Right Choice

Choices, Choices, Choices! We all make a choice of some kind every day but are we making the right choice? In the world where options abound, are we making the right choices as children of God? This is not something to do in a hurry or to consider with your own instinct. You cannot rush in and you cannot rush out when making a choice. You must do it with such great care lest you live in regret for the rest of your life. To make the right choice, a careful consideration and a constant consultation with the Lord on each option set before you must be adopted at all time. Continue reading “Make the Right Choice”

Overcome The Hypercritical, Judgemental Spirit

Criticism thrives in the world these days and though it is good when done constructively, it is very destructive when it crosses the line from the good side to the hypercritical judgemental side. This does not promote Christ’s image in any way. We are the lighy of the world and the salt of the earth. Wr are made for signs and wonders. We are mean to impact the world positively everyday amd at all times. We are meant to do follow in thenfootsteps of Jesus, to do what he did at all times. That is to attend to people with an open heart, with no judgement in our hearts but with mercy and compassion in our eyes.

Being hypercritical and judgemental of anybody condemns and judges people harshly rather than a show of love and acceptance which we all need. One thing Christ never did is to see the weakness in people amd use it against them. Instead he strengthened the feeble knees and healed the brokenness in people. Hypercriticism only sees its own perfection and tends to think it is above any mistakes. It complains all the time and constantly points out other people’s error without any consideration for the human feelings. It tears down instead of building up. It only drives people away from the God of love, peace, mercy and justice. It is not a good spirit to embrace or operate in at all.

Unfortunately, it has slowly creeped into the Christendom and slowly becoming the norm in the community. Continue reading “Overcome The Hypercritical, Judgemental Spirit”

Speak life

Christians are quick to blurt out what we feel on a daily basis. When we have negative feelings about something or somebody, we say it out loud to ourselves and we project it to other people. For example, when we feel an amount of discomfort or some kind of pressure in our heads, we are quick to say that we have a headache. Likewise, when we don’t understand somebody who is different from us as an individual, we are quick, to sum up, that person and give them a label.  But we do this at our own detriment, because the moment we form those words in our heads and those words leave our mouth creating a sound that other people hear from us, we affirm those negative words and those words begin to alter the realities which then creates the world around us.  Continue reading “Speak life”

God, The Master Planner

There is none like you Lord, the Master Planner.
From the beginning of time when heaven was formed, the ocean was born and the earth was drawn.
You made a notion and lights were laid out in bountiful motion.
With great love, you stripped out the ocean and you filled the earth with your great affection.
You made the sky, you made a covering over the heavens and the earth you spread out over the sea.
The expanse of each that none can fathom. Continue reading “God, The Master Planner”

Overcome Temptations

If the devil tempted Jesus Christ at his most vulnerable moments, he will tempt you, his follower. Temptations come when you least expect it. An innocent act here, a little white lie there and by the time you know it, you are neck deep in it. Even when you keep yourself pure, the devil will find a way to tempt you. Healing for the Hurting Christians

I was going through my inbox one day when I stumbled upon an old email from a friend. The email content contained a long hurting conversation with my friend. We were both offended by each others behaviour and felt hurt towards each other, yet none of us was willing to back down. My friend and I have since reconciled our differences but for many years before our reconciliation, my hurt was buried deep within my heart and I carried on with life as if it things were good. Time they say heals pain, it was not until the cause of my pain resurfaced in an old email did I realise that I was still hurting. Thankfully the Holy Spirit intervened and I received my complete healing.

It is not ok for Christians to sweep hurt and offences under the carpet like the world does. Christians are meant to be the light in darkness even when the offence is caused by you or another Christian. When we bury our hurts without clearing it up, we hold God’s hands from moving in our lives and we allow the enemy to attack the body. Harmful toxins are released when we hold on to hurts and our health suffer as a result.

Affliction is not part of God’s plan for his children nonetheless Jesus recognised this act as humane and inevitable for his followers. He admonished believers to take heart and rest in him. Jesus said “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). When you get hurt as a Christian, find your peace in Christ.

Your health may have been affected by the hurt in your heart, the Bible said of those who believe in Jesus Christ that ‘they will pick up snakes with their hands, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not harm them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will be made well” (Mark 16:18). I declare that those toxins in your body will no longer cause you harm in Jesus name. It may also be difficult to get over the hurt, the following Bible Declarations will help shift your focus to God for a complete healing and restoration.

Make a Declaration of Faith
Blessed be God, the Father of my Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforts me in all my tribulation. Henceforth I am enabled to comfort those who are in any trouble by the comfort with which I am comforted by God
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

I declare that in all things I am more than a conqueror through Him who loved me. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 8:37-39)

I believe God is with me, I will not be afraid nor be dismayed. He strengthens me, he helps me, yes, and he uphold me with his righteous right hand
(Isaiah 41:10)

I believe I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. I will wait on the Lord; I will stay strong, and my heart shall remain steadfast as I wait for my healing
(Psalm 27:13-14)

All things work together for my good for I love God and I have been called according to His purpose
(Romans 8:28)

God sets me on high when I am feeling hurt
(Job 5:11)

My peace is in Christ Jesus and not in this world filled with tribulation. Therefore, I will be of good cheer for Christ overcame the world for me (John 16:33)

I am hidden in the shelter of the highest; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock
(Psalms 27:4-5).

God’s promises gives me life. He is my hope and my comfort in affliction. Though the insolent utterly deride me, yet I will not turn away from God’s law. When I think of his rules from of old, I take comfort in him
(Psalms 119:48-52).

The Lord has compassion on me in accordance to his abundant love. He does not cast off forever and he will not cause me any affliction nor griefs in any way. (Lamentations 3:31-32).

I declare that the God of hope has filled my heart with joy and peace. Henceforth I may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit.(Romans 15:13)

God never leaves me, nor forsake me. He is with me like a mighty warrior fighting my battles for me and giving me victory on all front.
(Hebrews 13:5)

Healing for the Heartbroken Christians

I remember the day my heart was broken over past sins. Before that day, I was stubborn, proud, selfish, immature and I made hasty decisions. I didn’t know I was all these but a time came when God convicted me of these sins and my heart was completely broken. I was overwhelmed by God’s mercy and how without condemnation or rejection, he steadily broke my heart for what breaks his heart. Though my sins were exhumed from deep within, God healed my broken heart with his forgiveness and his great love.

With great grace, God reached out to me in my weakest state and steadily he peeled off the hardened layers of my heart. With great care and patience, God broke down the protective walls of my heart and he gave me a brand new heart. God wants to do the same for his children who are heartbroken – to give us complete healing and total freedom from the past.

Your heart may have been broken over a loss. Your broken heart may have been as a result of rejection. Perhaps, somebody, you love deeply aggravated and disappointed you. Or maybe it’s as a result of your broken past – divorce, family estrangement, siblings rivalry, relationship dissolution. God wants to heal your broken heart and set you free. Whatever has broken your heart can only make you a better person.

God has healed broken hearts in the past and he can do it again. His grace for his children is so big it renews minds and transforms lives. He is the same God yesterday, today and forever. May he heal your broken heart as you seek his face through his word on this site in Jesus name. Amen. As you speak OUT LOUD these declarations, may God’s healing balm rub off on your broken heart and may you begin a journey to a total transformation in Jesus name. Amen.

Make a Declaration of faith
Today I come to God with a heavy heart believing that he will give me rest. I take his yoke upon me and learn from him knowing that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Lord, you are gentle and lowly in heart and I know you will give me rest for my soul ( Matthew 11:28-30).
I believe that God’s grace is enough for me. His power is made perfect in my weakness. I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Corinthians 12:9).
I believe He will strengthen me, He will help me and He will uphold me with his right hand because he is my God and he is with me, I will not be dismayed (Isaiah 41:10).
When I pass through the waters, God promises to be with me; therefore, I believe he is with me now. When I pass through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm me; when I walk through fire I shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume me because God is with me (Isaiah 43:1).
I may be afflicted in every way, but I shall not be crushed; perplexed, but I shall not be driven to despair; persecuted, but I am not forsaken; struck down, but I will not be destroyed. For I always carry in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in my body (2 Corinthians 4:8-10).
God heals my broken heart, my wounds he binds up (Psalms 147:3).
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever (Psalms 73:26)
He sent out his word and heals me, he delivers me from all destruction (Psalm 107:20)
He keeps count of my tossing; put my tears in his bottle. they are all in his book (Psalm 56:8)
Therefore, My heart is merry. it is a good medicine to my bones (Proverbs 17:22).
My heart is glad, my face is happy to me (Proverbs 15:13).
My heart shall not be troubled, neither will I be afraid for my peace is in Christ Jesus (John 14:27).
God’s plans for me is that of welfare and not of evil, to give me a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
God is in me; I shall not be moved; God will help me when morning dawns (Psalm 46:5).
God is near me; I am saved (Psalm 34:18).

Seek for the Peace of Mind

Everybody wants peace of mind but nobody is actively seeking this peace. With headlines filled with terrorist news and breaking news that fuels fear in the heart of mind leading to aggravations, financial downturn affecting people’s finances enslaving them to money making machines, public unrest and political disorder creating worries in homes that leads to domestic assault, gun crimes and knife crimes creating false confidence in the heart of the youth; nobody seems to know the time to seek for the peace of mind. Build the “Goodness” Character

It may not come naturally for new believers to develop and express the goodness Christian character. Not in the world where evil and wickedness is prevalent with corruption, dishonesty, indecency, cruelty, immorality and the likes anyway. To embrace this benevolence would mean going against the norm and choosing to conform to the nature of Jesus Christ of Nazareth who went about doing good healing all who were oppressed by the devil(Acts 10:38). Speak the Word Whilst Waiting on God in Prayer

As a Christian, I do not expect to keep waiting on God in prayer yet keep meeting with cold silence from my heavenly father. If I ask my earthly father for a gift, he will most certainly find a way to give it to me without delay. Why then does God delay in responding to my prayers? What must I do if my patience is waning, negative emotions silently creeping in, worry, doubt and anxiety settling in? Does delayed answer to prayers mean God is not happy with me? Are there spiritual forces keeping my prayers at bay? has God not heard my prayers at all? What can I do whilst waiting on God for a response? Boost Your Self-Confidence.

If you were to go for an interview, career coaches will tell you to speak to yourself in the mirror or talk to friends in order to boost your confidence. The same principle applies when walking into a room full of strangers; life coaches will tell you, speak to yourself before you get to the venue, walk tall, make eye contact with somebody in the room and smile so that you may appear confident. In the kingdom of God, however, you do not need to fake it till you make it, you can simply claim the truth God has said about you and believe that your confidence will shoot through the roof.

Self-confidence in Christ Jesus is the best antidote for anybody going through self-doubt. In a world where self-promotion is the norm to achieve fame and recognition, a true follower of Christ would know that this tactic only lasts but a moment. The only lasting confidence lies in Christ Jesus. And that confidence comes by hearing and hearing through the word of God (Romans 10:17). In other words, the best way to get your confidence up is by soaking yourself in the word God; Read it, digest it, profess it and live it to the fullest.

Apostle Peter warned us to be alert and sober for our adversary, the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour (1 Peter 5:8). The enemy of our souls will always roam around looking to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). Remember the righteous man, Job? The devil accused him falsely before God and he was allowed to test Job’s confidence in God. The enemy would want to introduce self-doubt and low self-esteem but God is available to boost your confidence in him. You need to prepare yourself for the day of trials. You need to build up your self-confidence in Christ Jesus so that you might be able to stand firm during trials and tribulations. And the best way to be prepared for anything that may come your way is to build up your self-confidence in Christ Jesus through the word of God.

Christ is a body, soul and mind healer. He is a giver and restorer of faith (1 Peter 5:10). He will shield you and give you lasting confidence. The following Bible declarations will help build up your faith in Christ if you are a new Christian and they will strengthen your faith as a matured Christian. Make these scriptural declarations your mantra every day and you will overcome the devil whenever he tries any of his tactics on you.

Make a Declaration of Faith

The LORD is my confidence, He keeps my foot from being caught in a trap
(Proverbs 3:26).

I draw near to God and he draws near to me. With confidence I approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and I find grace to help in time of need.
(Hebrews 4:16)

The Lord is with me. He will not fail me nor forsake me. I am strong and courageous, I will not be afraid nor tremble.
(Deuteronomy 31:6).

I can do all things through Him who strengthens me
(Philippians 4:13).

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within me, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns (Philippians 1:6).

I have been justified by faith, therefore, I have peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ;
(Romans 5:1).

New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ

Congratulations you are born anew. The Christian journey is exciting but there are times when you may need to affirm your identity in Christ in order to win the battle ahead (Mathew 4:1-11). Though you have a new identity in the Kingdom of God through Christ Jesus, the prince of darkness will not relent in trying to steal from you, kill treasures within and destroy wherever he gains access. You need to imprint on your heart that you no longer belong to the world but you belong to the Kingdom of God.  You no longer belong to darkness, you are now a child of light (1 Thessalonians 5:5). The race of life set before you (Hebrews 12:1) may sometimes get overwhelming and the enemy may come trying to steal treasures within (John 10:10), all you need is to reach out to the word of God and affirm your identity.   Continue reading “New Christians: Affirm Your Identity in Christ”

Overcome Sin

Sin is awful and as a new Christian, you might find yourself falling back to old ways of doing things and reasoning. One of the ways to overcome sin is to speak the word of God over that situation until it transforms you and you are completely set free. The Bible says if anyone is in Christ, old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that you can let go of the past and you can assume your new position in Christ. Everything has been made new. The Bible also says that anybody who believes in Christ overcomes the world (1 John 5:4), you are an overcomer through Christ. Continue reading “Overcome Sin”

Declare Your Authority in Christ

You have made him a little lower than God, And You crown him with glory and majesty! You make him to rule over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet. Psalms 8:5-6

Your royal highness, you are crowned with glory and majesty, you are empowered to rule and reign like His Royal Highness in the Heavens, the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords. Your dominion on earth is second to none, your authority and power over all other creations is a masterclass. May all the fish of the sea obey your call whenever you call upon them as they obeyed Jesus Christ, may the fowl of the air attend to your request promptly without delay, may every living thing moving upon the face of the earth heed your call as they heeded unto Noah. Declare God’s Blessings Over Your Life

God blessed them:
“Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge!
Genesis 1:28.

You are too blessed to be stressed. You are blessed by God, the maker of the heavens and the earth. The owner of all things on earth and in the heavens has released his blessings upon you and you must prosper. Everything you need to prosper has been released to you by your creator. Declare Your New Identity In God

God spoke: “Let us make human beings in our image, make them
reflecting our nature
Genesis 1:26 (MSG).

You are made in the image of God, to be like God, to reign like God reflecting his nature, to be responsible for every other living being on the earth, to speak goodness into existence, to bring creativity alive, to give life where death lies, to ring the truth where lies have become the second nature. You are made in the image of God to reflect his nature, to bring order into a chaotic world, to cast light upon a shadow and be the light in the darkness. You are created to make good and lovely things out of nothingness, to be creative and be imaginative, and you have been empowered to do all of these and more, by the same God who made you. Declare Yourself A New Life In Christ

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:3

You always hide behind the church. Somebody once said to me. At least I have the church to hide, where do you hide? I responded. That statement wasn’t meant to be a compliment or a pleasant statement, the person who said it was throwing a shade at my faith. That statement was an attempt to throw me off my faith, an attempt to discourage me or to cause me to lose my faith altogether. But I was quick to understand where that shade was coming from. It was coming from the pit of hell to derail me. Thankfully the situation that led to this statement been thrown at me only made my faith stronger in the Lord. Have A Changed Heart

And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.” Ezekiel 36:26-

Do you remember when you first fell in love? Did it not feel like having a new heart completely? It’s a feeling of unexplainable joy, a feeling of excitement, a feeling of newness. How about when you first gave your life to Jesus? did you not feel that something was different? At least you must have heard family and friends say to you that something is different about you, right? That is because you had a change of heart from the Lord. Declare All Things New

“Behold, I am making all things new”. Revelation 21:5

Behold I will do a new thing now, it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in desert.
Behold I will do a new thing now, it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it. I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in desert.

Today is a new day. This is a new start. Today is a new day to forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13). Start afresh. Old things have passed away, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is a year of joy. This a year of accomplishment. This is a year of greatness. This is a year of success. This is a year of peace. This is a year of hope. This is a year filled with a brighter future. Continue reading “Declare All Things New”

Praise The Lord for New Beginnings

Happy New Year. Congratulations! You made it into the New Year alive. Let every living soul declare a praise to the Lord. Give praise to the Lord. Proclaim his greatness, let the whole world know what he has done (Psalm 105:1). Many wished they would see and make it to the new year but they did not make it. You made it into the new year not because of your doing; you made it into the year 2017 not for your good deeds nor for your good look, you made it because the Lord God is gracious to you. He showers you with his mercies, he sustains and helps you in all your doings. What could have swallowed you up in the year 2016 only served as a conduit to a new you? Today you are alive, you are still standing and you can hope for a better tomorrow. Continue reading “Praise The Lord for New Beginnings”

Declare God’s Provision Over Yourself.

The Lord Jesus is indeed your shepherd. He’s a good shepherd. He will not suffer his sheep. He always looks out for his sheep. He calls out to his sheep and his sheep his hear his voice and they obey.

A good shepherd sees to it that his sheep lack nothing. Jesus is a good shepherd and he will see to your needs. The Bible says Jesus is a good shepherd, his sheep hear his voice and they obey. Not everybody is Jesus’ sheep. Not everybody recognizes his voice, not everybody obeys his commandments and certainly not everybody recognizes him as their shepherd, and not everybody follows him. Speak the Word of Assurance for Your Salvation

There are moments in a Christian life when doubts set in and he needs an assurance of his salvation. Soon after he became a Christian in college, author C S Sprout wrote a book titled; Can I lose my salvation? he shared his experience where he was advised by an elderly woman to “drive a spiritual stake in the ground right now.” He needed to make sure his conversion was forever. You may not have received a sound advice like C S Sprout when you accepted Christ as your Lord and saviour but as time goes by, you may find life happen and you begin to wonder and ask yourself some serious questions; Am I a Christian? Is my salvation real? Continue reading “Speak the Word of Assurance for Your Salvation”

Be The Salt of The Earth.

Praise God. You are the salt of the earth! You have been cleansed through the blood of Jesus and preserved by God for a special assignment on earth. You have been named the life transformer and solution provider the world is waiting upon. Jesus said, ‘You are the salt of the earth’. There is no longer any confusion or objection surrounding your identity in God and in this world.

Jesus came to restore your identity and to clarify the son and daughter of whom you are. You are the child of God. An heir to the kingdom of heaven. Your identity is no longer in crisis but in Christ. He came to give you life, peace, hope and grace so that you may have life in abundance. You are no longer lost but you have been found. You are no longer blind but you can see. No longer under oppression but you can claim your freedom. You are no longer termed forsaken but you have a new name; the delight of the Lord. No longer frustrated but you can have peace, no longer confused but you can have clarity on who you are and to whom you belong. Jesus has calmed the storm of life and you can rest in his assurance.

You are the salt of the earth. Salt gives liveliness, piquancy, or pungency. It cures, it preserves. It’s a solution to many disasters. It gives taste to tasteless bland meals. It melts the snow and creates a firm grip on a slippery road. It heals bitter water. It adds interest or excitement to anything. Its misuse can cause a chaos, a disaster. But give salt to the person who knows it’s benefits and how to use it, and you can achieve your purpose, your goals. You can have victory where necessary.

In the course of fulfilling his purpose on earth, Jesus set the captives free from every bondage. He redeemed the chosen and the predestined from sin and death. He restored faith in the heart of men where it failed. He gave hope to the hopeless, help to the helpless, healing to the sick, comfort to the aggrieved. Before his death, he restored the dignity, the confidence and the identity of every child of God. He was the liveliness in every dull environment. He was the excitement that everybody travelled to see. He was the healer, the solution provider, the life transformer and he says you are the same.

Do you believe that you are the salt of the earth? or have you lost your savour as a child of God? But if the salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything but it is thrown out and trampled underfoot. Mathew 5:11. Have you been through condemnation, accusations, abuse or some form of torture? Have you been betrayed, tormented or persecuted? Have you lost your focus on Jesus? Are you lacking in confidence in God and in yourself? Are you going through an identity crisis? Do you know who you are in God and to whom you belong? Do you know your worth in the hands of the master and your assignment on earth? When in doubt about who you are, remind yourself of what Jesus said; He said, ‘You are the salt of the earth’.

Make a bold declaration of faith

I am the salt of the earth (Matthew 5:13), I am well preserved, I am a preservative (Mark 9:49). My speech shall be graceful always, seasoned with salt to everyone that I might know how to answer everyone(Colossians 4:6). This is my declaration.

Overcome Feelings of Regret, Guilt and Shame

Judas Iscariot suffered a painful regret after his betrayal to Jesus. He was one of the disciples of Jesus who dined and wined with him (Matthew 26:23-25). He was the treasurer of the group (John 12:6). He knew more about Jesus than the outsiders. He knew what Jesus looked like and he was willing to point him out to the chief priests (Mathew 26:14-15, 47-49). But he made a grievous mistake. He sold out and handed an innocent man over to the injustice of men. When he realized the error of his way, it was too late to rectify it. The Bible says that’ Judas Iscariot was gripped with so much remorse that he returned the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and the elders, saying; ‘I have sinned by betraying innocent blood’ (Mathew 27:3-5). After the deed was done, he went on and hung himself. Continue reading “Overcome Feelings of Regret, Guilt and Shame”

Be The Star In the World

His word says that Jesus is the bright and morning star. His star drew people to him at an early age. His star brought him the most expensive and covetous gifts like a baby. His star spread the good news of the arrival of the saviour on earth as an infant. His star guided the three wise men to his birthplace. His star informed king Herod of the most powerful king on earth. His star is powerful.

Like Jesus, you also have a star. Your star can be an instrument in the hands of God. Your star can be instrumental to a great revival. Your star can accomplish a purpose to which it has been sent on the earth. Your star can be a guide to the blind and a direction to the lost.

Christ said you are the light of the world (Matthew 5:14). Your star should bring light to the world in the midst of the darkness. The Bible also says;

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed and commissioned me To bring good news to the humble and afflicted; He has sent me to bind up [the wounds of] the brokenhearted, To proclaim release [from confinement and condemnation] to the [physical and spiritual] captives And freedom to prisoners Isaiah 61:1

Christ fulfilled this scripture for all the children of God being the firstborn son of God (Colossians 1:15, Hebrews 1:6, Romans 8:29). This scripture was not only a commission for Jesus alone. This is a commission for every child of God. As a Christian, you are anointed to do all these things too.

You are anointed by the spirit that raised Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11) to bring good news to the humble and the afflicted, to bind up the wounds of the brokenhearted, to proclaim a release to the captives and freedom to the prisoners. This is your star, this is your light that must shine for the world to see.

Make a conscious decision to be a star shining brightly on the path of humanity. Make a conscious decision to reach out to others, allow your star to shine brightly for the world to see as you focus on Jesus as the bright and morning star.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare his word that Christ is the bright and morning star. In him I live, in him, I breathe and in him, I have my being. Because Jesus is the light of the world. I am also a light of the world. I am a child of God. I am above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. I am endowed with insight to be a light in the midst of the darkness. I will bring many to righteousness and my star shine brighter. This is my declaration.

I declare his word that Christ is the bright and morning star. He is my light and I am the light of the world. I will prove myself blameless and innocent before many. I will allow my light to shine brighter like the brightness of the expanse of heaven. I will chase first the kingdom of God and lead many to righteousness, and so my star will shine forever and ever. This is my declaration.

Declare Your Identity in Christ

Do you know who you are in Christ? Can you honestly accept the truth in God’s word about your true identity? God knows who you are and He calls you what He sees not what the world sees in you. Your life can never remain the same again when you agree with what God says in his word about you. Why not try changing your words from saying, “I don’t think I can make it”, to “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. Continue reading “Declare Your Identity in Christ”

Purify Your Thoughts

Do you control your thoughts or do your thoughts control your life? Somebody once shared a testimony with the public. She said she has a wild imagination. One day she was driving on a motorway and her imaginations ran wild. Before she knew it, she was driving herself towards a ditch before she got a hold of herself. God saved her that day.

Christians ought always to watch their thoughts. Thoughts can spread out like unguarded ants on a rainy season. Thoughts are supercharged, super fast and super powerful. They can spread like the spider’s web taking prisoner everything that comes to their path. They can drive you to an early grave and they can drive you to a great destiny. Your thoughts really do control your life, it determines your destiny. If carelessly steered in the wrong direction, it leads to disaster. If carefully guarded, it gives life.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

Your thoughts should be true, good, pure, lovely, commendable, honourable, excellent and praiseworthy. If for whatever reason your thoughts carry none of these characteristics, you ought to put your thought in check and to the obedience of Christ. You have the power to control your thoughts and to steer your destiny in the right course.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare my thoughts are pure, my thoughts are commendable. I submit my thoughts to the obedience of Christ. My thoughts will no longer defile me. I destroy every argument and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God concerning me. Henceforth, I have the mind of Christ and I will guard my heart with all diligence. This is my declaration.

Philippians 4:8, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Proverbs 4:23, Philippians 2:5, Matthew 15:11

Go and Do The Impossible.

How can this be? How can you bring a baby into the world when the father has deserted you? How can you forgive those who hurt you when the memory grips you with pain every time you remember? How can you focus on new beginnings when you lack the strength to move forward from past experiences.

How can you reach out in faith to receive your healing when there is a history of such illness in the family? How can you let go of memories of shame and guilt when you knew better? How can you create something new when the old still drags on? The truth is, you cannot until the power of God comes over you.

The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.” Luke 1:35

You cannot do it by yourself. You cannot do any of those new things you so desire to do without a supernatural help. You need the power of the Holy Spirit to come over you to help you. With the Holy Spirit, you can receive strength in replacement of your weaknesses. You can create something so powerful that no weapon of the enemy can withstand. You can move into your new beginnings and stay free of past hurts. You can do the impossible.

Perhaps you are struggling with un-forgiveness, letting go of the past hurts, pains and rejection; you might be struggling with receiving healing for your health because of doctor’s reports, you might be worried and anxious about tomorrow, cast your cares on God. Ask him for help and he will empower you with the Holy Spirit.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare the power of the highest will overshadow me to do the impossible. The spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is upon me, I am filled with life. I am clothed with power for love and for the sound mind. I am no longer weak to make the right decisions for my life but I am strengthened with power through the spirit of God in my inner man. I will do great things. I will know the truth concerning my situation, speak the truth and live in the truth. For the son of God has set me free and I am free indeed. I am free from the deceits and lies of the enemy. I will live right and do right all the days of my life. This is my declaration.

I declare the power of the highest will overshadow me to do the impossible. I am a carrier of good news not bad news. I am empowered for joy and peace shall reign in my life. I have the power of God over weaknesses in every area of my life and I am strengthened. I have the power to be a witness to Christ throughout the world. I am a carrier of good news, I will spread the good news of Christ throughout the world. This is my declaration.

Romans 8:11, Luke 4:14, Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49, Ephesians 3:16, Romans 15:13, Romans 8:26,

Declare Your Ways Smooth and Straight

Did you ever wonder in life, which is the way to go? Have you ever asked yourself, where am I headed in life? Everybody claims to know the way but these ways often lead to sadness, rejection, frustration, condemnation and eventually death. There are so many choices to choose from but there is only one true way, the way of the Word (John 1:1, Psalm 119:9).

Wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many go in by (Matthew 7:13)

The way of the world is wide and enticing yet it often leads to destruction. Many love and prefers it above any other way and they are full of painful regrets. But narrow is the way that leads to eternal life (Matthew 7:13-14) and Jesus is the way to eternal life.

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Nobody can see God except through Jesus (John 14:6).

The way to eternal life is the way of the word. Though it is narrow, often uninviting and less travelled, it brings peace, joy and it does not end in tears or fears. Jesus has prepared this way (John 14:2-3), enter through it for a fulfilled life. Anybody who comes to Jesus finds fulfilment in life. A life void of Jesus is often tossed to and fro leading to chaos, confusion and frustration. Your life need not be a part of that lifestyle.

You can quit dilly-dallying. Stop yielding to a storm filled life and hold on to peace in the midst of the storm. Do you find yourself stumbling through life? There’s a way out. Do you want a sense of clear direction? There is a clear path to take. Do you feel like a little child stumbling through his steps when learning to walk? There is a way, the truth and the life. Jesus is the way you need for a clear direction and a smooth sailing in life. Life should be smooth sailing or at least, you should have a clear-cut sense of direction.

The way forward is to acknowledge God as the way maker and follow his leading. There is a need to clear the way before we can make a headway. There is a need to acknowledge the way maker before we can acquire the right knowledge for the true way. Why not start with God and let him lead the way to fulfilment. Choose life and choose Jesus (Deuteronomy 30:19, John 14:6).

Make a declaration of faith

I declare my ways are smooth, my path is straight, I will no longer stumble through life. Today I choose Jesus as the way, the truth and the life. He will lead me on the right path for my life. Through him I have access to the throne of grace and mercy, my ways shall be levelled, my paths shall be made straight. I will trust in him with all my heart and he will lead me and guide me on the best path for my life. I will acknowledge God in all my ways and he will direct my path. This is my declaration.

Isaiah 26:7, Psalm 5:8, Proverbs 3:5-6

Guard Against Harm

Are you distressed, overwhelmed, feeling oppressed? Is your problem driving you to self-injury or self-harm? Come to Jesus. You do not have to carry your pain or burden by yourself. Jesus beckons for you. He loves you so much. He paid a heavy price to show you the love of the father. Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).

He will deliver you from grief and sorrow, he will heal and protect you from depression. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Whatever turmoil or shame you carry within, God accepts you, he does not condemn you. Satan torments. Pay no attention to his antics. Turn to Jesus with your heavy burdens and you will receive rest (Matthew 11:28).

No temptation will overwhelm you beyond what you can handle (1 Corinthians 10:13). Resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7). God never tests you to the point of self-harm. Instead, he protects his own from all harm. He is the solution provider. Whatever you are going through, God is bigger than your problems. Make him the Lord of your life and no harm will overtake you.

He will send his angels to carry you in their arms so that you do not dash your foot against a stone (Psalm 91:12). He will comfort you from all sorrows. No matter what may come your way, God loves you. God will see to it that your needs are met and you get justice for the wrongs done to you. There is no need to be afraid, no need to hurt yourself. You can give your problem to Jesus and he will protect you from all harm.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare no harm will overtake me. No disaster will come near my home. No evil will conquer me. I resist the devil and he flees from me. I surrender my burdens to Jesus and he gives me rest. I believe Jesus laid down his life for me. He loves me. He accepts me. I will humble myself under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt me in due time. I have not received the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind. This is my declaration.

I declare no harm will overtake me. For the Lord will give His angels charge concerning me, To guard me in all my ways. He will rescue me from six calamities and in seven, no harm will touch me. I will turn to Jesus with my burdens and I receive rest from all my burdens for I turn them to Jesus.I will not be afraid of the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plagues that destroy at midday. The Lord will keep me from all harm. He will watch over my life. He will refresh my spirit and satisfy my soul. This is my declaration.

Job 5:19, Psalm 91:6, Psalm 121:7, Mathew 1:18-22, Psalm 91:12, 1 Peter 5:6-7, 2 Timothy 1:7, Jeremiah 31:25

Protect Yourself From Sicknesses and Diseases

When I see the blood I will pass over you (Exodus 12:13). When sicknesses or any terrible diseases see the blood of Jesus on you, they must pass over. The blood of the lamb was shed for your healing. Christ already paid the price for your well-being. You have a new covenant of peace and well-being in Christ.

You no longer need to pay for the consequences of past sins. The devil no longer needs to accuse you of ignorance or negligence before the father. You can shut the access door against your health in the devil’s face and you can tell the devil that by the virtue of your association with Christ, you have the power to walk over scorpions and serpents and to crush them, from now on nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Sickness is too costly. Count the cost and call it to quit to all forms of illness, sickness or disease. The cost of driving to the GP, costs of your prescriptions, cost of driving to the hospital if referred to the hospital and again the cost of those prescriptions, creates a dent to your bank account. Some of the instructions for taking the prescriptions says to use one, twice, three times, four times a day or use at 4 hours intervals with food or after food. Every time you obey these rules you spend more money, more time and wasted energy.

Not one child of God should harbour nor condone any type of dis-ease in their body. You must protect and deliver yourself from those seasonal allergies, flu, viral infections, inflammations, low immune systems and diseases. Tell whatever that sickness is called to pack up its loads and leave your body. Tell them that their tenancy period in your life is over. Christ is the Lord of your life, not the devil. And your body is the temple of the Lord not the abode of sicknesses and diseases.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare no sickness shall come near my home. For the blood of Jesus was shed for my healing. Nothing shall by any means hurt me. I remember the blood of Jesus during the communion as Christ commanded; for he said, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood, do this in remembrance of me’. Therefore, as I am obedient to Christ’s commandment about his blood, I declare that I have a new covenant in the blood of Jesus Christ, my blood is mixed up with the blood of Jesus. I carry the blood of Jesus in my body, sicknesses and diseases shall bow to the blood of Jesus in my system. And by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed. This is my declaration.

Leap For Joy

Praise the Lord this is a unique day. This is the day the Lord has made we will rejoice and be glad in it. This leap day only comes around every four years and if you are reading this Monday motivation declaration, it means that you are alive since the last leap year. Four years is a long time and a lot has happened since the last leap year.

Have a quick think about it. Where were you in this last four years? What have you done or been able to accomplish within the space of four years? Surely you must have something to be grateful to God for. If you are not breathing you cannot be alive, be alive to see another four years is a cause for celebration. So REJOICE. And if perhaps you do not have anything to be grateful and thankful to God for, then look up to God, trust in him that he will give you cause for celebration henceforth.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare by my God I leap for joy on this leap day. The Lord is my lamp, he will lighten my darkness. By my God on this leap day, I am clothed with the ability to leap like a lion. I will leap out of misery, poverty, financial instability. misfortunes and lack. I will leap and dance before the Lord and so shall I leap into my victory, breakthrough and success. By my God, I will leap over every wall into my victory, breakthrough, healing and success. This is my declaration.

I declare by my God I leap for joy. Because I fear the name of the Lord the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in his wings, I will go free leaping with joy like calves let out of the pasture. This is my declaration.

Declare God’s Provision Over Your Life

Are you hungry? Try His word. Not to eat the sheets of the Bible but to meditate on it when hungry and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. It is quite filling and very refreshing. More often than not this has happened to me. I had been hungry, and instead of eating some food, I would pick up the Bible to read and all of a sudden my hunger would disappear.

Jesus did it in the wilderness. He was hungry after a period of fasting and praying. Instead of yielding to the flesh to obey the devils’ temptation, he chose to do the will of God. He saw beyond the impulse and the emotion of the physical and he addressed his issue with the word of God. Jesus saw beyond his hunger for food and he fought back with what the father had said.

Fasting or denying the flesh of food may cloud your judgement. You may get hungry, cranky and act on impulse. This happens when you fast religiously but when you do it in the spirit, your vision becomes clearer. Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Whether you are fasting or not, you cannot live life by impulse or by your emotions. Every decision you make should be focused on fulfilling the will of God for that situation.

What mattered more to Jesus during his fasting period was to obey God and fulfil his will, even in that condition. What this means is that every decision you make in life must be aligned to the word of God. You will be making a big mistake when you make your decision based on human wisdom and reasoning alone. You must seek God through his word and seek godly counsel.

Make a declaration of faith

I declare God’s word of provision over my life. I shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. I will acknowledge God in all my ways and rely not on my own understanding. I will no longer live by the standards of this world but I will live my life in alignment to the word of God. I will humble myself under the mighty hand of God and commit to doing his will at all times. This is my declaration.

I declare man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. I will not rob God of the food he commanded for his house. Instead, I will bring all my tithes into the storehouse that there may be meat in his house. The Lord will open the windows of heaven unto me and pours out his blessings upon me until I have no room to take any more. The Lord rebukes the devourer for my sake, my fruits shall not be destroyed and my vine shall not fail to bear. This is my declaration.

Declare God’s Presence Into Your Life

The Lord Jesus Christ is Emmanuel. God with us. Whatever you are going through, God is with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. He will not leave you comfortless (John 14:20). His hands are not too short to save and his ears are not dull to hear your heart cry (Isaiah 59:1).

Conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of man for the main purpose to save the children of God from their sins (Mathew 1:21) and to set free from slavery (Romans 6:18). He came to the world, not for his own selfishness but he selflessly gave up his throne in heaven just to be with you on earth (1 Thessalonians 4:13-14), to show you the way to the father’s heart (John 14:6) and to redeem you from the world of slavery (Deuteronomy 15:15). Declare God’s Peace Over Your Life

Is your world rocking with the storms of life? there is #peace in God. He sent his peace to Gideon through his angel, he sent the children of Israel his peace through Gideon. He sent his peace to Jesus through his ministering angels in the wilderness after the temptations of the devil. He calmed the storm of the sea through his son Jesus before his disciples. Declare God’s Righteousness Over Yourself

I declare my righteousness is in Christ Jesus. My life has been made right before God. God accepts me. I am safe in the hands of God. I am justified through faith in Christ. I am at peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ. I will live and not die but to declare the works of the Lord in the land of the living. I will follow his decrees and faithfully keep his laws. I have been made righteous through Christ, therefore, there is now no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and of death. This is my declaration. (Ezekiel 18:9, Romans 8:1-2)

7 Critical Things Jesus Did Just For You

Jesus did not go through agonising pain on the cross for no reason. He did not suffer rejection in the hands of those he cared for and loved for no just cause. His betrayal by the most trusted disciple was no child’s play. Jesus did it all for a reason in the season. He went through it all so that you might have abundant life.

Like a criminal he was harshly treated, beaten, spat upon, stripped naked, pierced, whipped with seventy lashes, condemned to death on the cross, so that you could be redeemed from the harsh consequences of sin and just so that you do not have to go through the same injustice he suffered on earth.

Jesus was pierced for your rebellion(transgression) – Adam and Eve surrendered their will to be tempted of the devil and thereby introduced sin to the world.(Romans 5:12) making us all sinners (Romans 3:23), even from our mothers womb (Psalm 51:5). Since the eyes of the Lord cannot see evil(Habakkuk 1:13) and He want to redeem mankind from sin (Titus 2:14), He gave his only begotten son (John 3:16), Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world (John 1:29). So Jesus was beaten and tortured for your transgressions so that salvation might be made available to everyone, and in all of his sufferings he didn’t say a word.

Jesus carried your sicknesses and pains – Jesus took upon himself our infirmities and carried away our diseases (Matthew 8:17), so that we might be made whole (John 5:6). God intends for his children to live a healthy life just as a father would suffer for his children so that they do not have to go through the same suffering. Jesus was beaten up, crushed for the sins of many not because he brought it upon himself nor because he deserved the beaten, but because God ordained Christ to carry the sicknesses and diseases of sinners that they might partake of the healing process once they come into salvation the prophesy might be fulfilled (Matthew 8:17)(Hebrews 6:4), his body was broken for you and by his stripes, you were healed(1Cor.11:23,24).

Jesus was poor for your sake – He was looked down on and passed over because he took upon himself your poverty so that you might be rich in the spirit (2 Corinthians 8:9). He was meek and lowly (Mathew 11:29) so that you might inherit the kingdom (Matthew 5:3). Jesus died without a thought for his own welfare, just so that you might be a partaker of the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus was beaten bloody for the sins of the people – His body was broken and his blood was shed to make you a child of God (Matthew 26:28). The beatings made him unattractive. People looked on him and turned away because they thought he was a scum. The truth is, it was your ugliness and wickedness (our sins) he carried that disfigured him and made him unwanted in the society and through his bruises we get healed.

Jesus grieves over your sins – We’re all like sheep who’ve wandered off and gotten lost. We’ve all done our own thing, gone our own way. And God has piled all our sins, everything we’ve done wrong on him. Jesus is the good shepherd, the good shepherd will never allow his sheep to go astray and if any of the sheep goes astray, he leaves the ninety-nine behind to search for the lost sheep (Luke 15:1-7) and bring him back into the fold. Jesus looks out for everybody that his father put in his care except for the stubborn sons of perdition (John 17:12) accounts for everybod Jesus took the punishment of sins of the world, and that made us whole. He was grieved for the sins of the world, he was sorrowful for the lost soul (Hebrews 5:5-8)

Jesus died for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2) – Jesus died for the sins of the world. He laid down his life as a sacrifice to atone for your sins and my sins (1 John 3:16) (John 15:13) (John 10:18). There would have been bloodshed and eternal damnation had Christ not laid down his life for the payment of our sins. He loves us so much he was willing to pay the sacrifice for the atonement of our sins.

Jesus was buried with the wicked that you might rise up with him in righteousness – They threw him in a grave with a rich man, even though he’d never hurt a soul or said one word that wasn’t true. This was done so that we might rise up with him in righteousness at the end of time (1 Thessalonians 4:17)

Now, it’s up to you. Do you own your weaknesses and sorrows? Do you want to continue in your ways as though you’re okay, as though his death means nothing, and as though eternity doesn’t hang in the balance? You can confess your rebellion and sins, and trust him to forgive you, make you whole. PRAYER OF SALVATION

Choose Peace

With all the chaos happening in the world today, would you rather be a Peacemaker or a War maker? A peacemaker is what we all must strive to be in the world. But unless we have the peace of God within ourselves, we cannot give it to somebody else. A man who is filled with the peace from God extends such peace to others. He’s easily forgiving, patient and kind to others. He does not take out his frustration on other people and does not pay back evil for evil. Instead, he pursues peace with all men. Where there is chaos, he brings calm. Where fight ensues, he settles it quickly. He is full of understanding and he protects his peace with all he has in the spirit, body and mind. We all need the peace of God to calm the storms in our lives. We must seek it, embrace it and extend it to others. It is World Peace Day and I wish you peace in all you do. Seek True Friendship

There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24(NLT)

Nobody is an island. Everybody lives in friendship. It is what makes the world go round and keeps us on our toes. We cannot live without friends. We are built to have them. There are those who build up and there are friends who pull down. But true friends stick closer to you than a brother and these are what we all must seek. They don’t come easy. They are rare and are specially bred. They are made with a tough skin to accommodate your mistakes and are loyal at heart to withstand storms in your life come what may. They stick with you as you grow in life and they stand by you as you go through life. True friends urge you on, help you up, overlook your errors and they keep you going in life.
