Prepare Your Heart for Humility

RCMOilLampBible-730x438

We all know the end time is near and this is the time to seek for personal and national revival. If the Lord was to come today, will your heart be ready? Will he find your heart as humble as that of a child? If he were to search through your attitude and behaviour today, will any of your actions and intentions be anything as close as to being Christ-like? Would the Lord need to perform a surgery on you? Would he have to remove stubbornness and pride from you in exchange for a heart of humility?

Should the Lord choose to use any of Christ believer or Christ-follower for his work in this end time, then we would need to prepare our hearts for the Good work of the Lord. It is, after all, the heart that the Lord searches for and not the image. It is also, after all, from the heart that we think, breathe and birth new things. It is also from the heart that we plot, scheme and condemn others. We must then make this a regular prayer to our God: Lord, search my heart, please remove a heart of stone from me and give me a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26), take away pride from me and give me a heart of humility.

Perhaps you need to cultivate the heart of humility and act accordingly now? Perhaps you need to continue to grow in humility traits until you are completely humbled but perhaps you are struggling in this stead? The following declarations could be of an immense help to preparing your heart in readiness for the Lord’s use.

Make a bold declarations of faith with me today

I declare my heart belongs to Jesus. I will obey his instructions and clothe myself with humility. Today I will keep in constant check the state of my heart and reflect upon my actions. I will align myself to the message of Jesus on humility and avert myself from being proud hearted.

Today I surrender my heart to the Lord that he may grant on to me the heart of humility and he will lift me up in due time (James 4:10, 1 Peter 5:6).

Today I will not see myself as superior to others such that I do not listen or associate myself with them but I will pursue peace with all men and live in harmony with all others (Romans 12:16).

Today I choose to act in humility and to rise above being prideful. I declare that I will do nothing out of selfish ambition and I will value others above myself in all my doings (Ephesians 4:2. Philippians 2:3)and so help me God.
