Powerful Biblical Declarations and The Nature of God
who is god?
Introduction: Who Is God?
Who is God? This timeless question stirs the soul and compels us to seek. From Genesis to Revelation, Scripture reveals God as the Creator of the universe, the Almighty, and the One who desires an intimate relationship with His creation. He is the Triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally wise, infinitely loving, and ever-present. To truly understand the power of biblical declarations, we must first understand God’s identity.
As A.W. Tozer said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” Why? Because who God is shapes who we are and how we speak.

Why Knowing God's Identity Matters for Declarations
We’ve seen it time and again: Christians speak declarations daily, hoping for breakthroughs, yet see no fruit. Why? Because declarations, apart from knowing who God is, are like seeds without soil.
The power of biblical declarations is rooted not in positive thinking but in God’s unchanging Word and character. Jeremiah 1:12 says, “I am watching over My word to perform it.” If the Creator of the universe is backing your words, results will follow—but only if you believe Him.
Hebrews 11:6 reminds us: “Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”
God's Identity: The Key to Effective Declarations
When you declare, “God is my healer,” you’re not making a hopeful wish. You’re speaking truth backed by the authority of the Almighty. This only works when you actually know Him.
Testimony: “I used to declare scriptures every morning, but it felt empty—until I began studying God’s attributes. Knowing Him as El-Rapha, my Healer, changed everything. Suddenly my declarations came alive.”
Declarations grounded in relationship, not ritual, carry weight. Isaiah 55:11 assures us: “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty.”

The Creator of the Universe: God in Action
From the vast galaxies to the breath in your lungs, God created all (Genesis 1:1). He isn’t just the Creator of the universe—He is your Creator.
Psalm 139:14 declares, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” God designed you with intention and purpose.
Exodus 6:3 reveals Him as El-Shaddai, the Almighty, and Jeremiah 1:5 shows He knew you before birth. When you declare God’s truth, you speak as one fearfully formed by the hands of the Almighty.
God's Attributes: Omniscient, Omnipresent, Omnipotent
Omniscient (All-knowing): “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar” (Psalm 139:2).
Omnipresent (Ever-present): “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5).
Omnipotent (All-powerful): “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” (Jeremiah 32:27).
Every attribute reveals another reason to trust Him fully when speaking His Word.
Jesus: The Revealer of God's Identity
Jesus is the clearest picture we have of who God is.
- John 14:6 says, “No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- John 10:30 states: “I and the Father are one.”
The Saviour is the embodiment of God’s love, power, and holiness. When we know Jesus, we know the Father. As you speak truth over your life, do so through the finished work of Christ. He is your authority.
