Let’s Say The Lord’s Prayer Together

Pray the Promises (3)
Pray the promises: I thank you, Father, for the gift of prayer and the grace to approach your throne of mercy. I thank you for you are always ready to hear prayers of the saints. May your will be done as we pray together today. May we experience your love, peace, unity and harmony as we seek your face. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.

If you have ever been a fan of acronyms while growing up, you’ll know that they can help you to remember some arduous information you don’t understand, yet you need them to pass your A-levels in secondary school. The Lord’s prayer works similarly. It gives you a model to follow. It’s a guide to use when in communion with the Father. It’s the go-to formula to use when unsure of what to pray and how to pray. It is not to be chanted verbatim, but we can use it to help us pray effectively. It is the simplest yet the most potent form of prayer model to use.

You may have heard many people say often that praying is simply a form of communication with God, and there is no formula to use when doing this, yet praying requires a level of commitment and some decorum to it. This is why many people struggle to pray; they are baffled by what to utter to the most loving Father in the universe and how to do it effectively. Even the disciples of Jesus Christ wondered about the mystery behind prayer, and it’s no wonder that they asked him to “teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1-13).

Praying is easy whether it’s done in the format of the Lord’s prayer, through personal revelation or through other godly means of revelation, but it is imperative, however, to know that the Lord’s prayer is not the prayer itself but it is a model to use in our communion with God and Christ-followers can adopt it in our Christian faith. And while we pray, we must remember to give thanks to God, pray for God’s kingdom to come, His will be done, pray for your provision, pray for your forgiveness and for the forgiveness of those who hurt you, pray against temptation and deliverance from evil and always end with praise.

Let us pray together

After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. .

Matthew 6:9-13

Trouble, challenges, pain, suffering, grief, transition, change and renewal come to us all. Some seasons of life are more enjoyable than others. Thank you for being a source of light, encouragement and comfort to humanity when they are suffering, grieving and transitioning. I pray God Almighty supernaturally brings deliverance to all of us in our area and place of need to lift us up to where we belong to live freely and happily to glorify Him daily. ~ Paul
