Suppose Jesus Christ of Nazareth didn’t speak his truths to overcome temptations in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), then you wouldn’t know the power of truth telling today. It is, after all, the truth you know and speak that will set you free (John 8:32). Therefore, when tempting thoughts flood your mind, don’t delay declaring that you are a child of God.
• Additionally, you declare your identity in Christ by pledging your allegiance to God. We all know that God is faithful, then we can be loyal too. That was how our founding fathers of faith did it in the Holy Bible. Abraham left his father’s house of idolatry to follow God to an unknown place. Moses called the children of Israel to abandon Baal and follow the living God. The persecuted church stands their ground against the enemy and refuse to deny Jesus Christ. You can do the same (1 John 4:4).
• Furthermore, you declare with your obedience to God. Joseph the dreamer boldly declared his obedience to God’s commandments fleeing from sinning against God (Genesis 39:1-12).  Moses followed God’s instructions despite his low self-esteem.
