After all, Proverbs 18:21 says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” Romans 12:2 also reminds us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 10:5 encourages us to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ.

Terri Savelle Foy once said, “If you want to see where your life is headed, listen to the words that are coming out of your mouth.” That truth sits deeply with me because choosing to thrive over striving often begins with paying attention to what you repeatedly say over your life.
This matters even more when you feel anxious, discouraged, spiritually dry, or emotionally tired. Instead of letting fear overwhelm you, speak faith over your soul. Submit your thoughts to God’s truth. Remind your heart who God is, what He has said, and who you are in Him.
This is not about pretending life is perfect. It is not about empty affirmations either. Instead, it is about returning your mind to God’s Word, one day at a time.
