5 Days of Declaring God’s Peace Over Your Relationships

Some relationships are not meant to be, but we are meant to be at peace with all men.

I have had some turbulence in my past relationships. Some of those relationships were very dear to my heart, but the enemy managed to infiltrate into our lives, and he turned beautiful unions sour. Had I paid more attention to the word of God, then I would have been more vigilant and better prepared to handle difficult situations that arose against us. The truth is, God has warned us in his word to “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8. If I don’t do what I should have done in the first place as a child of God, then I will be giving the devil a chance to attack my relationships.

8 Days Biblical Declarations for You When Feeling Disappointed

I’m disappointed!
Those were his words to me. This person who is like a father to me. This person I look up to and glean wisdom from regularly. He was disappointed in me for making a mistake. Those words broke my heart. They hung over my head for weeks! I tried to make amends for my mistake but he wouldn’t accept my apology. Oh! I was disappointed. So disappointed that my heart hurt so badly.

He was not the kind of person I would ever want to disappoint in any way. He was not the kind of person I expected would ever say such a thing to me either. Not now and not ever. Having lost my father at the age of five, I looked up to him as a father. He mentored me in some areas of my life and then I blew it.  I expected a lot from him just as he expected more from me. I expected some grace and some care from him but his words said otherwise. Continue reading “8 Days Biblical Declarations for You When Feeling Disappointed”

7 Days of Biblical Declarations to Help You Give Up the Criticism Spirit

Criticism! You are probably wondering, What has it got to do with me?

As Christians, it has everything to do with our character. We do it more often sometimes than unbelievers, but we are not called to criticise one another; we are called to correct in love. It may be easy to get caught up in the act of criticism, but Jesus said: “Judge not, that you be not judged” (Matthew 7:1). When we criticise others for what they have done wrong, we get criticised in turn. This should not be our world. Christians are not called to criticise fellow Christians, nor are we called to judge the world. We are called to correct in love.

When you criticise others harshly, it may send them to tears, it may make them feel sad, and they may feel little about themselves. This does not promote the image of Christ, and it does not show the love of God. But when we correct in love, then we will be doing our heavenly father’s will. We would have spread His love to the human heart, and we would have helped the other person draw a little bit closer to God. 7 Biblical Declarations For You When Feeling Condemned by People

Jesus Christ was condemned for your sake.

It is one of the most horrible incidents anybody could ever experience in life. But Jesus Christ endured it so that you can have victory when you go through it in life. He was a righteous man who endured condemnation to death on the cross (1 Peter 3:18). He had all the power and authority to stop injustice being done to him, but he didn’t react, nor did he respond to any of it. Instead, he submitted himself willingly to abuse, insults, hurt, pain, rejection, and condemnation from people.

It may surprise you to know that the same people who praised him with shouts of Hosanna deserted him and mocked him on the cross. He didn’t do it all in vain. However, he did it for a reason. He did it for you and me so we can have victory when we experience condemnation in many areas of our lives. This should give you solace when you feel condemned, rejected, and hurt by people. This realisation helped me a while back when I was condemned, rejected and eventually thrown out of a community. Continue reading “7 Biblical Declarations For You When Feeling Condemned by People”

3 Things In Life God Uses to Test You.

Nobody is above tests in life. We all must go through it.

In fact, you would have written different tests in school throughout your childhood and all the way through to the university level in your adolescence.  There is always one test or the other to write in order to progress from one class to another, and the end result usually amounts to some level of academic achievement.

Your Life is not dissimilar to your educational experience. It is in different stages and it comes with different tests. In order to progress from one stage to another, there are different tests to write and those you must pass them. This is just the way God created the human being life cycle.

These tests are usually in the form of trials and tribulations. They often come unexpectedly, and if you are unaware of them and unprepared for them, they will catch you off guard, and you may fail them. When you fail these tests in your life, you will remain in one life cycle, not moving forward, not achieving anything, and not finding fulfilment or purpose until you pass your tests.

You need to pass your life tests in order to progress to your next level in life. Continue reading “3 Things In Life God Uses to Test You.”

February Prayer and Declarations Challenge

Can I ask you a question? When was the last time you really thought about the people in your life, and you thought to pray God’s blessings over them or prayed for their well-being? This is something I was personally guilty of until a strong impression was laid upon my heart to start praying for God’s blessings over the lives of the people in my life. It’s not just praying for your immediate family members or those who are close to you but praying for everybody on your mobile phone and on your email contact list, including those you don’t have direct contact with, those you don’t get along with, those you barely know and those you are probably just in business together. 14 Daily Prayer of God’s Blessings Over Your Relationships

You may not have considered praying God’s blessings over your relationships before but you will be doing God’s will and yourself a great favour when you pray for every body in your contact list. God wants you to pray over your relationships; family, work, social, church, community relationships, friends, acquaintances and everybody that you are connected with in life (Ephesians 6:18). 7 Daily Declarations to Help You Trust in God Completely

Declaration of Faith: I declare my trust is in God’s perfect timing. I have not missed my windows of opportunities. Instead of a setback, God is setting me up for bigger things in life. He is working everything out for my good. I will fulfil my destiny. I will experience His favour and He will accomplish His perfect plan for my life. I am not afraid of the future because I have a God who holds my future in His hands. (Psalm 31:14, Psalm 56:3, Psalm 9:10).

It is very possible to struggle to trust God at some point in life. We would rather trust in the devil we know than trust in the saints we do not know, and this is because somewhere along the line, somebody or something has damaged our trust in people. We get hurt, but we turn it against God, questioning Him on why he allowed such a high to happen to us. But God is not to blame for our struggles and he is not the cause of our misfortunes with people, instead the enemy sows the seed of discord and causes the heartbreak.

We cannot see God in the flesh yet we are encouraged to trust in Him completely. How possible can this be, considering that we will have to relinquish all control to him when we cannot see him in the flesh? Isn’t it better to trust the devil you know than the saint you don’t know? You are probably struggling with these thoughts as most people, and it’s ok to feel this way because it is what makes us human. We would rather have a level of control to manoeuvre things in life than relinquish all control to God. It’s just not in our nature and it’s not an easy thing to do at all. Sometimes it is easier to trust a man we can see than trust in the God we cannot see, and this is because we are able to hold a fellow human being accountable for their actions than to accuse God of wrongdoings when things go wrong. We would rather have human flesh to blame than hold God accountable.

But with God, holding him accountable for your demise would be futile. Who do you want to call to the table of judgment than the same God who is the judge of all? But God is trustworthy. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will never let you down when everybody deserts you. When nobody can see the logical reasoning behind those difficult moments, God is there holding your hands up, telling you that all shall be well. Get Back Your Self-Worth Biblical Declarations

This is for the Christian who sometimes feels less self-worth. This is for you, who the society oftentimes makes you feel a little less of who you are. It is for you who the community, friends, family or loved ones make you feel less of who the Lord created you to be. This is for you who sometimes get hurt as a result of people’s judgemental opinion of your behaviour, you who suffer from constant criticisms of your choices or disapproval of your decisions in life and making you feel less confident of your self-worth. Make the Right Choice

Choices, Choices, Choices! We all make a choice of some kind every day but are we making the right choice? In a world where options abound, are we making the right choices as children of God? This is not something to do in a hurry or to consider with your own instinct. You cannot rush in, and you cannot rush out when making a choice. You must do it with such great care lest you live in regret for the rest of your life. To make the right choice, careful consideration and constant consultation with the Lord on each option set before you must be adopted at all times. Continue reading “Make the Right Choice”
