Breakthrough After Betrayal: Lessons from Tyler Perry’s Straw

There is breakthrough after betrayal in as much as you speak Bible-based affirmations over your life and trust God in the process. And a good example is the story of Joseph. Joseph was just a teenager when his brothers betrayed him. They stripped him of his robe, threw him into a pit, and sold him into slavery. what’s more? the years that followed were years of rejection, abandonment, and wrongful imprisonment.

Yet through every betrayal, God never left his side. Eventually, Joseph experienced what only heaven could orchestrate, a breakthrough after betrayal. He went from the prison to the palace, proving that even the deepest wounds can be transformed by divine favor.

Joseph’s story echoes the pain and possibility portrayed in Tyler Perry’s powerful new film Straw. This emotionally-charged narrative holds a mirror up to the real-life pain of broken trust, family trauma, and the ache of betrayal. Like Joseph, the characters in Straw confront the agony of rejection. But also like Joseph, they discover that healing and restoration begin when we invite God into our wounds.

At DailyBibleDeclarations.com, we walk with believers through their healing journeys. We provide Bible-based affirmations and scripture declarations to help you find lasting freedom from emotional pain. Because we’ve been there. And we know what it means to rise again, rooted in God’s truth. “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good” (Genesis 50:20).

Remember, God can bring beauty from betrayal. Your story isn’t over yet. As a matter of fact, it’s just getting started. So, if you’re new to declarations, then you might also want to read What Are Biblical Declarations and How Do They Work. This way you can understand how powerful your words can become when rooted in God’s Word.

What Straw Reveals: The Turning Point to Breakthrough After Betrayal

In Straw, broken hearts echo loudly. Whether through abuse, abandonment, or strained family ties, every scene pulls you deeper into the emotional wilderness of those characters. But the movie also reminds us: there’s always a way out. And for believers, that way out is found through breakthrough after betrayal by declaring truth.

Betrayal cuts deep. Yet, Scripture says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). Thankfully, those who have experienced heartbreak can take comfort in knowing God sees, understands, and is present.

While this film becomes a spiritual launchpad, not an emotional trap. Let it awaken something in you. Perhaps, a hunger for wholeness and a desire for God’s truth. Hence, why we’re offering Bible-based affirmations and practical steps to help you walk forward into freedom from emotional pain.

On the other hand, please remember, for your declarations to be truly effective, you must acknowledge God. Empower Your Mind: Scriptural Affirmations to Overcome Limiting Beliefs

Scriptural Affirmations to Break Limiting Beliefs.

Scriptural affirmations and Christian affirmations serve as powerful spiritual tools that help break limiting beliefs and overcome negative thoughts. If you’ve ever felt stuck, discouraged, or like you keep hitting the same wall in life, then you’re not alone. We’ve experienced it, too. Although many of us know the truth in our heads, our hearts tend to struggle to believe it. And that’s where daily scriptural affirmations come in, they remind us of God’s promises and help us renew our minds in truth.

As Romans 12:2 encourages us, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Accordingly, these affirmations empower you to speak life, truth, and transformation into areas of struggle. What’s more, when you speak God’s Word aloud, it shifts your mindset and spirit.

Scriptural affirmations

Why Scriptural Affirmations Work

Scriptural affirmations are not magic words. Rather, they are Scripture-based statements that align with God’s Word. When you declare what God says about you, your identity, and your future, you begin to align your life with His truth. Additionally, these affirmations create new thought patterns rooted in God’s promises, not worldly fears.

After all, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Proverbs 18:21). Just like David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6), you too, can shift your mindset by speaking God’s truth aloud. Especially when negative thoughts scream louder than faith, Scripture affirmations help silence the enemy’s lies. Furthermore, scriptural affirmations remind you of your divine identity in Christ.

However, if you’ve ever wondered what makes scriptural affirmations different from secular ones, here’s the key: Christian affirmations are rooted in eternal truth, not human positivity. They’re God-breathed and carry divine authority.

Scriptural affirmations

Real Talk: We've Been There

There was a season when I (the founder of Daily Bible Declarations) believed I’d never be free from shame. Though I loved God, limiting beliefs—”I’m not enough,” “I always mess up,” “God could never use someone like me”—had deeply rooted themselves in my heart. I read Scripture but felt stuck in cycles. Nevertheless, I kept seeking God’s truth.

Then, I began declaring the Word out loud each day. Gradually, my mindset changed. After all, these were not empty phrases. In fact, they were seeds planted in faith. And as Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Eventually, I believed what God said about me more than what my past or emotions screamed. By all means, you should believe it, too. Because Scriptural affirmations made all the difference. Daily Christian affirmations changed the way I thought, lived, and prayed. Consequently, I became more confident in God’s truth than in the lies of fear.

Scriptural affirmations

How to Break Limiting Beliefs With Scriptural Affirmations

Breaking limiting beliefs doesn’t happen overnight. However, when you consistently and intentionally practice Christian affirmations, you begin to rewrite your inner script. In other words, what you repeat to yourself daily becomes your new default belief.

Here’s how:

1. Identify the Lies

Ask yourself: What lie am I believing about myself, God, or my future? Write it down. Lies lose power when exposed to the light. For instance, you might realize you’ve been thinking, “I’ll never change.”

2. Find the Truth in God’s Word

Search Scripture for what God says instead. For instance:

  • First Lie: “I’m not loved.”

    • Truth: “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” (Jeremiah 31:3)

  • Another Lie: “I’ll always fail.”

    • The Truth: “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)

Use our Rules of Biblical Declarations guide to help you

3. Declare God’s Truth Daily

Begin your morning by declaring truth out loud. Write them down, stick them on your mirror, or say them in prayer. Speak with confidence:

  • “I am chosen, holy, and dearly loved.” (Colossians 3:12)

  • “The mind of Christ is in me.” (1 Corinthians 2:16)

  • “With Christ, I can do all things through him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

Moreover, repeating scriptural affirmations regularly conditions your brain to accept truth over fear.

4. Believe, Even When You Don’t Feel It

Faith often means choosing belief before you see breakthrough. Moreover, Hebrews 11:1 assures us: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Above all, it’s not about faking confidence—it’s about speaking in faith until your heart catches up.

  4. The Almighty has plans to prosper me, not to harm me. (Jeremiah 29:11)

  5. The peace of God that passes understanding resides with me. (Philippians 4:7)

  6. God is for me, not against me. (Romans 8:31)

How to Let Go of Guilt and Embrace God’s Forgiveness

Have you ever lain awake at night replaying past mistakes, whispering, “God, can You really forgive me?” If so, you’re not alone. Many believers carry hidden guilt like an invisible backpack, weighted down by regret, shame, and self-condemnation. We want to move forward, but we feel stuck in yesterday. Yet the good news is this: you can let go of guilt and embrace God’s forgiveness today. Not only is it possible, but it’s also God’s heart for you.

As Charles Spurgeon said, “God’s forgiveness is as full as the sea; it rolls in wave after wave.” Indeed, when we embrace God’s forgiveness, we accept a future that isn’t chained to the past.

let go of guilt

1. Why Guilt Lingers and How to Let Go of Guilt

Guilt isn’t always a bad thing. It can serve as a spiritual signal alerting us to areas that need repentance. However, chronic guilt — the kind that lingers long after we’ve confessed and repented — can become a heavy burden that blocks intimacy with God.

Psalm 32:3-5 shares David’s raw experience: “When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long… Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, ‘I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.”

As a matter of fact, this is the beginning of freedom: honesty before God. The enemy thrives on secrecy and shame. But when we confess and receive God’s mercy, healing begins. Romans 8:1 reminds us, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Letting go of guilt starts with acknowledging sin, yes, but also with receiving forgiveness by faith. You don’t have to earn it. It’s already yours in Christ.

Interactive Reflection Prompt: What are you still carrying that God has already forgiven? Write it down, then symbolically surrender it by tearing it up.

2. Speak God’s Truth: Biblical Declarations to Release Shame and Embrace God’s Forgiveness

We often believe what we speak over ourselves. If you’ve been saying, “I’m unworthy,” or “God must be disappointed in me,” it’s time to trade those lies for God’s truth. As Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:32).

These aren’t just affirmations—they are spiritual tools grounded in Scripture. Declare them daily to release shame and let go of guilt:

  • I am forgiven through the blood of Jesus. (Ephesians 1:7).

  • There is no condemnation in Christ. (Romans 8:1).

  • I release shame and receive God’s mercy. (Titus 3:5).

  • I walk in the newness of life. (Romans 6:4).

  • I am cleansed and restored. (1 John 1:9).

  • My past does not define my future. (2 Corinthians 5:17).

  • I am a new creation in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17).

  • His mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:22-23).

  • God forgets my sins. (Isaiah 43:25).

  • I am accepted and loved. (Ephesians 1:6).

  • I release shame and receive peace. (Isaiah 61:7).

  • I stand righteous in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21).

  • God is faithful to forgive. (1 John 1:9).

  • I walk free from guilt, shame, and regret. (Psalm 103:12).

Embrace God’s Forgiveness: What It Truly Means to Release Shame and Be Set Free

To embrace God’s forgiveness is to accept His heart. It’s a divine hug to our brokenness.

“As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12). God doesn’t just forgive; He forgets.

Still, some of us struggle with this truth. Maybe someone reminded you of your failure. Maybe you keep replaying the guilt reel in your mind. But Isaiah 43:25 says: “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.”

Sometimes, forgiveness feels too good to be true. But that’s the gospel! As Christine Caine says, *”God is bigger than your past, more concerned with your future, and able to redeem every broken moment.”

Prayer Prompt: “Lord, I accept Your mercy. Help me to forgive myself as You have forgiven me.”

From Guilt to Grace: A Story of Freedom

Not long ago, I walked through a season where I couldn’t shake the shame of a decision I made years prior. Even after confessing and praying, I still felt… stuck. But one day, while reading 1 John 1:9, it clicked: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

I had been acting like forgiveness was a feeling, but it’s a fact. That day, I spoke God’s Word aloud, cried my eyes out, and something broke. I felt lighter, freer.

Many in our Daily Bible Declarations community have shared similar testimonies. One woman wrote, “I declared God’s promises over my shame, and for the first time in years, I could look at myself in the mirror without regret.”

🌍 Stories from Around the World: Readers from Kenya, Canada, and the UK have emailed saying how forgiveness declarations helped them overcome guilt related to divorce, abortion, and addiction. God’s grace knows no borders.

Overcome anger with God’s Word and discover a path to peace that surpasses understanding. In a world that constantly stirs frustration, Bible verses for anger and healing are your spiritual anchor. They shine divine light into emotional darkness, offering hope to every wounded soul.

When you’re weighed down by betrayal, injustice, or rejection, God’s Word becomes your safe place. It doesn’t just soothe the surface—it heals the soul. As you learn to manage anger through Scripture, your heart aligns with the Prince of Peace.

Why Anger Hurts More Than It Heals

Anger is like a wildfire. It may start small, but left uncontained, it consumes joy, peace, and even relationships. That’s why the Bible urges us to walk wisely with our emotions. Proverbs 14:29 offers a gentle warning:

“Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.”

Anger, when unhealed, becomes toxic. It roots itself in past pain, insecurity, or fear. Bible verses for anger and healing reveal those roots and help you uproot them.

“Anger is an emotion God gave us, but it was never meant to control us.” – Joyce Meyer

The Word of God isn’t just soothing; it’s surgical. It cuts away bitterness and replaces it with truth and peace.

How to Let Go Of Anger And Embrace Peace

To let go of anger and embrace peace isn’t just a nice idea. Instead, it’s a spiritual necessity and should be aligned with Scriptures on peace and forgiveness. After all, when we release anger, we find peace and align our hearts with God’s purpose. Besides, from the beginning, the Bible teaches us the dangers of holding onto wrath and the healing power of forgiveness.

So, if you want to let go of anger and embrace peace, then start with the scriptures on peace and forgiveness. They give us clear direction on how to move forward. For instance, Ephesians 4:31-32 urges us to get rid of bitterness and be kind-hearted. Likewise, Bible verses for anger and healing offer comfort and clarity during emotional storms.

Besides, anger can feel like an old familiar friend, justified, even comforting. Ultimately, it eats away at our joy. So, let’s explore how to truly break free using spiritual truths, personal reflection, and practical actions rooted in God’s Word.

Overcome anger with God’s Word

THE WEIGHT OF ANGER: WHY YOU MUST LET IT GO

To let go of anger and embrace peace, you must first recognize what anger does to your soul. It’s like holding onto a burning coal, hoping it hurts the other person. However, release anger and you find peace instead, because holding onto it only fuels stress, resentment, and spiritual blockage.

Renowned preacher T.D. Jakes once said, “Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host.” This way of thinking hits home. When we’re consumed by anger, our prayers get hindered, relationships suffer, and we lose peace of mind.

HOW TO RELEASE ANGER AND FIND PEACE

How do we begin to heal? First thing to do, to let go of anger and embrace peace is honesty: admit the anger, surrender it to God, and ask Him to replace it with peace. It’s a journey, not a one-time fix, but it’s worth every step.

The second thing to do is, you must forgive. Not because the other person deserves it, but because you deserve peace. So, release anger and find peace, because holding onto hurt only chains you to the past.

Famous evangelist Billy Graham said, “When we come to Christ, we’re no longer prisoners of our past.” That’s powerful. Forgiveness is a key that unlocks your emotional jail cell. This way, you’re not just surviving — you’re thriving. Additionally, it helps to practice forgiveness daily. Write it down, pray it through, speak it out loud. Instead of rehearsing the pain, declare your freedom.

Another way to begin to heal is to use scriptures on peace and forgiveness. For example, use Matthew 6:14 “If you forgive others, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” And don’t forget Bible verses for anger and healing like Romans 12:18, which urges us to live at peace with everyone, as far as it depends on us.

Also, meditate on scriptures on peace and forgiveness like Colossians 3:13, which teaches us to forgive as the Lord forgave us. Additionally, reflecting on Bible verses for anger and healing such as Proverbs 15:1 — “A gentle answer turns away wrath” — gently reshapes our reactions.

let go of anger and embrace peace

BIBLICAL DECLARATIONS TO RELEASE ANGER AND FIND PEACE

Speaking life is powerful. To let go of anger and embrace peace, declare God’s Word out loud. Release anger and find peace through daily affirmations rooted in scripture. When we speak truth, we invite God’s healing into our lives.

Try these declarations:

  • “I choose peace over pain. I release anger in Jesus’ name.”

  • “God’s peace guards my heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).”

How to Strengthen Your Faith Through Biblical Declarations

What Is Faith? Discover and Unwavering Trust

What is faith when life’s storms feel overwhelming? From my seasons of doubt to breakthroughs of crazy faith, I’ve learned that trusting God begins with speaking His promises aloud. For instance, Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for…”; and when I proclaimed, “I live by trust, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7), hope returned. Moreover, declaring “I choose unwavering trust today” brought peace into anxious moments.

Accordingly, asking “What is faith?” guides us back to Scripture. For example, repeating “By faith, I overcome fear” aligns our hearts. Likewise, meditating on “faith moves mountains” (Matthew 17:20) roots us in God’s power. Furthermore, this practice inspires bold courage and unwavering trust that remains firm in the face of challenges.

Not only does the declaration answer the question of “what is faith,” but it also reshapes our thoughts. As Joyce Meyer reminds us, “You can change your life by changing your words.” Therefore, when we speak Bible promises daily, our hearts transform. In addition, explore our best practices guide and discover the advantages of daily declarations for further direction. Consequently, you’ll find fresh insight on how to anchor your trust.

All in all, we’ll understand what is faith by aligning our words with God’s truth. Thereafter, your belief grows stronger, your courage deepens, and your life becomes a testimony of unwavering trust.

Build an unshakeable faith

Daily Declarations: Scripture to Ignite Your Crazy Faith

To move from wondering “what is faith?” into living it, choose three Scriptures each morning. These verses form a foundation for crazy faith:

  4. 2 Corinthians 5:7 – “We walk by faith, not by sight.”

  5. James 1:6 – “Ask in faith, without doubting.”

  6. Mark 11:24 – “Believe you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Next, proclaim these daily declarations for unwavering trust and bold courage:

  • “I walk by belief and not by sight.”

  • “My trust moves every mountain in my life.”

  • “I live in the assurance of things hoped for.”

  • “God’s word fuels my daring confidence.”

  • “I receive every promise with boldness.”

  2. Proclaim: Speak life—“I choose bold belief!”—with conviction.

  3. Persist: Whenever doubt surfaces, declare, “My trust remains unshaken.”

Find Hope: Powerful Bible Verses for Depression

Finding Light in the Darkness: Healing Scriptures for Depression.

Depression is often described as a heavy cloud that overshadows one’s spirit, making daily life feel overwhelming. You may even feel lost, weary, or alone, but remember you are not without hope. While depression can happen to anybody, young and old, rich or poor, the Bible offers a powerful antidote in numerous verses that shine light into this darkness. Thus providing hope and guidance. This way, individuals can find solace and strength and embrace the healing scriptures for Depression.

Overcoming Depression: A Real-Life Testimony

Imagine one of history’s greatest preacher Charles Spurgeon also battled Depression. He openly spoke about his battles with Depression saying, “I find myself frequently depressed—perhaps more so than any other person here.” Thankfully, he found strength in God’s promises.

Despite his struggles, he continued to preach hope and relied heavily on Scripture for strength. His life is a testament to the power of scriptural declarations for mental health, illustrating that God’s Word can provide light and guidance even in our darkest moments. If Spurgeon overcame by clinging to Scripture, so can you!,

Warren Wiersbe also stated, “The remedy for discouragement is the Word of God.” By declaring healing scriptures for Depression, you align your thoughts with God’s truth rather than your emotions. Then, you can renew your mind (Romans 12:2) and overcome despair through faith.

The Transformative Power of Scriptural Declarations for Mental Health

Speaking God’s Word over oneself is a transformative practice. As highlighted in the “10 Days of Biblical Declarations to Overcome Depression,” declaring scriptures daily can renew the mind and spirit.

For example, you can declare, “I boldly declare that every plant my Heavenly Father has not planted in my body, mind, or spirit is destroyed and uprooted. Sickness, disease, and any form of negativity have no place in me”. This aligns one’s thoughts with divine truth.

Remember, life and death are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). What you speak over yourself matters. When you declare God’s promises, you replace lies with truth, despair with hope, and sadness with joy.

For example, say, “I declare that the cloud of Depression is shifting away from me. I am a child of light, and God is light; darkness cannot overcome me because I belong to Him.” Click on this link to learn more about Biblical declarations and how to activate them in your life.

Additionally, renowned author and preacher Joel Osteen emphasizes the significance of our words, saying, “Whatever follows ‘I am’ will come looking for you. When you say, ‘I am blessed, I am strong,’ blessings and strength are heading your way.” This underscores the importance of positive affirmations rooted in Scripture.

Overcoming Fear: How to Trust God Completely

How to Let Go and Let God: Trusting God for Peace and Breakthrough.

Let go and let God—these five words hold profound truth. It means to release our worries, fears, and struggles into His hands. It requires faith, patience, and complete trust in God’s timing. So, instead of trying to control every situation, we must surrender and believe that God is working all things for our good (Romans 8:28).

While many of us struggle to release control, true peace comes when we surrender to God completely. After all, He is bigger than our problems, stronger than our fears, and always faithful to carry us through. If you genuinely want to experience peace, you must learn to let go and let God handle every situation in your life.

A Life Lesson on Trust in God

It was a beautiful, airy, and bright day. The sun beamed through the sky, and life felt lighter. Strangers exchanged smiles, neighbours stopped for casual chats, and the world seemed to glow. It was not a day to feel burdened—yet an incident shifted my mood from joy to deep reflection.

Despite the unsettling experience, I wore a brave face. Inside, however, I was crumbling. My environment left no space for emotions; I had to be strong. I reassured myself, “The day will soon be over. Then, I can process everything.”

Finally, evening came. After completing my tasks, I escaped to my room, seeking a moment to breathe. My thoughts raced, replaying the day’s events—until a small voice shattered my solitude.

let go and let God

The Innocent Faith of a Child

Before I could gather myself, little Baba Star ran toward me. He climbed onto my lap uninvited, wrapped his tiny arms around my neck, and bombarded me with questions.

Aunty, what’s wrong? Why are you sitting here? What are you thinking about?

His innocence melted my heart. Then, he did something peculiar—he looked up at the ceiling and started a seesaw game on my lap. I held him tightly, ensuring he wouldn’t fall. Yet, despite my firm grip, he was afraid. He hesitated, worried that I might let go.

As I watched him struggle, something stirred within me. This was precisely how many of us treat God. We claim to trust in God, yet we hesitate. We say we believe but still hold on to our worries, fearing He might let us fall.

Why Is It Hard to Let Go and Let God?

Many of us struggle to let go because:

  • Fear of the Unknown: We want control over outcomes.

  • Lack of Patience: God’s timing often feels slow.

  • Past Disappointments: Previous struggles make it hard to trust again.

  • Emotional Attachments: We hold on to relationships, careers, and plans, fearing change

God whispered to my heart that day:

“How can you trust Me yet refuse to let go? How can you rely on Me yet still try to control everything? Why are you limiting Me? Why do you carry your burdens when I promised to take them from you?”.

The truth is God holds us tightly in His arms. He has already wrapped us in His love and protection. If we would only surrender, we would experience true peace. It is time to let go and let God take control.

trust in God

Biblical Truths About Trusting in God

The Bible reminds us repeatedly to trust in God:

  • Psalm 55:22 – “Cast your cares on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
  • Proverbs 3:5- 6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
  • Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Faith Over Feelings: Let Go and Let God

Are you struggling with worry? Are you clinging to your emotions instead of standing in faith? Remember, feelings are fleeting, but faith anchors us. Instead of trying to manipulate outcomes, trust in God and believe that His timing is perfect. Let go of the burdens weighing you down, and let God take full control.

Life Lessons from Spiritual Leaders

Renowned preachers emphasize the power of surrender and trust in God:

  • Joel Osteen says, “You have to come to your closed doors before you get to your open doors. What was meant to stop you, God will use to push you into your destiny.”

  • T.D. Jakes reminds us, “Let it go. If God meant for you to have it, it would still be here.”

  • Charles Stanley encourages, “Obey God and leave the consequences to Him.”

Fight your fears

Memorable Scripture: God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power to overcome obstacles, love to conquer hatred and sound mind to make the right decisions (2 Timothy 1:7).

Fear has a way of holding us captives, stopping us from moving forward and making us get stuck in the rat race of life. However, you can fight your fears and overcome the battle no matter how stuck you are in life. Even if your fear is so powerful for the enemy to use against you for many years, you can conquer your fears if you set your mind on it. Although you do not see the light at the end of the tunnel immediately, your victory is sure when you engage your mind to overcome. Suppose life is full of anxieties, worries, doubts and fears of the future for you and you continue to accommodate these plagues, then you’re sabotaging yourself by crippling your victory.

Instead, you want to live in freedom with boldness and courage because fear is the rod of the wicked that should not rest on the lots of the righteous (Psalm 125:3). That rod is for the wicked, not God’s own children. You are a child of the living God, and fear should not have a hold on you. God is your light and salvation (Psalm 27:1). Fear should not cripple you. Christ in you is greater than the fears in your heart (1 John 4:4). You do not have to be afraid of anything.
